Jacqueline MacInnes Wood will not be rejoining The Bold and the Beautiful at this time, in spite of Internet rumors to the contrary. The Emmy-nominated actress took to social media to explain that contracts and scheduling just haven't worked out.

Though her image was only recently removed from the show's opening credits, fans shouldn't expect to see Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) in story anytime soon.

The two-time Daytime Emmy nominee took to Facebook to dispel rumors that she's headed back to the CBS soap.

"As much as I love The Bold and The Beautiful and still wanted to be a part of it. Unfortunately we weren't on the same page contractually/scheduling etc," Wood shared on her Facebook page. "These things happen in this industry and I hope all my fans can understand that. I am a huge supporter of Brad Bell and the entire cast and crew. Love and kisses to all of my fans. I really do care about you all."

Wood's statement comes as fans continue to speculate about a very vague casting call that was released in early October, seeking a "sophisticated, worldly, [and] confident" Caucasian female.

Wood later followed up her initial message with a glimmer of hope for fans.

"Hey! If characters can be recast, shot, fall down elevator shafts and come back to life months/years later lol then never say never. XOXO Love u all and will DEFINITELY keep u posted on future projects," she added.

In May 2013, B&B announced that Wood was "taking a short break, as she has done in the past."

Wood made her daytime debut on B&B as Steffy Forrester in 2008. She's received two consecutive Daytime Emmy nominations in the Outstanding Younger Actress field.
