There's Hope again. The Bold and the Beautiful's executive producer confirms that the show will recast Deacon and Brooke's daughter after Kim Matula departs later this month.

The daytime community thought all Hope was lost when The Bold and the Beautiful announced last month that Kim Matula (Hope Logan) would be exiting the series. But it turns out the character will be given a second chance once her current alter ego departs this month.

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, B&B head writer/executive producer Bradley P. Bell confirms that after Matula exits the canvas -- which will happen on Friday, December 12 -- he has definite plans to keep the character of Hope on the canvas. "Hope Logan is a critical and central character to the show," he explains. "We're losing Kim Matula, who is a brilliant actress, and I am hoping, at some point, she will return in the role. But the role will continue."

Though the show previously announced that there were no plans to recast, Bell apparently changed his mind. "I've lost so many [actors and actresses] in recent years that I'm excited about the challenge," he states.

As for Matula's final moments on the show, fans can reportedly look forward to scenes between Hope and Liam (Scott Clifton) in which the lovers experience a defining moment that changes both of their lives forever.
