Hope insisted that Ivy understand that Liam needed time to heal, and Ivy advised Hope to let Liam move on. Quinn believed her Paris secret was safe when Bill agreed not to tell his sons that she'd pushed Ivy off the Parisian bridge, but with a little detective work, Charlie compiled conclusive proof that Quinn had knocked Ivy into the water. Wyatt asked Bill to give him the cliff house that Liam lived in, but Liam refused to let Wyatt take anything else from him. Ridge confided in Caroline about his designing disability, and she pledged to help him complete the couture collection in secret. Rick continued to fend off advances from the emboldened Maya.

Kate forced Sami to lie to Rafe to keep Stefano out of town. Kate was not happy that E.J. and Sami were close to getting back together. E.J. decided to give Clyde a chance to prove his worth. Hope had Aiden on her mind. Hope told Kayla that Aiden had feelings for her. Hope misunderstood what was going on between Aiden and Nicole. Eve blackmailed a hooker to break up J.J. and Paige. Daniel and Kayla told Brady that they might have a cure for John. Theresa freaked out when Kristen told her John might recover. Brady and Marlena stood vigil at John's bedside to see if the drug had worked. Chad surprised E.J. at the mansion and punched him in the face. Kristen realized Theresa, not Brady, had caused John's injury.

What happened during the week of September 8, 2014
Jordan pushed for a name when Ava agreed to consider Jordan's offer to take down their boss, but Ava appeared to go into labor. Sabrina couldn't hide her animosity toward Ava as she coldly suggested that Ava might be suffering a miscarriage. Ava was relieved when the doctor assured her that the cramps had been harmless "pre-term contractions." Patrick was on the verge of telling Sam about what he had discovered at Crichton-Clark when Emma revealed that Spencer knew who had arranged for Rafe to force Patrick's car off the road. Patrick and Sam were shocked when Spencer told them about Luke's threat to hurt Emma if Spencer revealed that Luke intended to go after Sonny. Nina set her sights on Kiki by demanding that Rosalie seduce Michael away from Kiki. Rosalie overheard Morgan and Kiki talking about Sonny and Carly's tryst. Liesl told Anna that Victor was behind Maxie, Lulu, Dante, and Nathan's disappearance. Anna was shocked when Liesl added that Victor was also the head of the World Security Bureau. Liesl confirmed to Victor that Nathan was his son. Maxie met Levi/Peter's father, Peter Harrell Sr. Dante and Lulu were stunned when Stavros made an appearance and announced that he had extracted an egg from Lulu prior to putting her in a cryogenic chamber then fertilized it with his sperm. Lulu was horrified when Stavros explained that he intended to have the frozen embryo implanted in Lulu.

Malcolm returned and forced Neil to admit he was scared of being blind forever. Lily set her anger aside and thanked Hilary for being there for Neil. After dreaming about Adam, Chelsea called Billy, but she freaked out when she learned his divorce was final. Victoria learned that Stitch was working for Ashley, and she informed Victor that Jabot was developing a secret new product. Paul found blood on the Newman ranch, and a DNA test determined it was Ian's. Ian's car was found near a racetrack, and Jeffrey reported that he'd seen Dylan there. After an argument with Victor, Nikki got drunk at a bar with a stranger named Maureen, who turned out to be Kelly and Stitch's mother. Maureen supported Stitch, but her relationship with Kelly was obviously strained. Summer had a change of heart and sent flowers to welcome Kelly home to the Abbott mansion. Maureen was stunned to learn from a newspaper article that her new friend "Sherry" was really Nikki Newman. Jack was unnerved by a dropped call he received from Phyllis' nurse, but Dr. Cutler convinced him everything was fine. Victor bullied Dr. Cutler into continuing Phyllis' treatment. Mariah agreed to stay in town to repay her debt to Sharon, and her friendship with Kevin grew. Nick proposed to Sharon, and she accepted. Phyllis bolted upright in bed and screamed, "No!"
