Deacon talked Quinn off the ledge that Bill had urged her to leap from, and Deacon vowed to stand by Quinn despite the death of their unborn grandchild. To move Eric closer to signing over total control of Forrester, Rick pretended to fire Maya and convinced the staff that he wanted Caroline and Ridge to design together. Caroline was desperate to prove herself to Rick through intimacy, but he pretended to work late when he was really meeting Maya in their new love nest. Ivy caught Rick kissing Maya, and he warned Ivy to keep her mouth shut. When Katie broke things off with Ridge, Bill told Katie that he always got what he wanted, and what he wanted was to reunite their family.

Aiden threatened Bree and warned her to stay out of his and Hope's life. Serena asked Eric out on a date. Nicole helped Brady out of a jam. Will and Paul were unaware of their romantic ties to Sonny. Sonny was angry Will had lied to him about why Will had really returned to Salem. Brady warned Theresa and Anne to stay clear of Melanie -- or else. Serena put Anne in her place, much to Jennifer's delight. Eve forced Shane's doctor to lie to Paige about Shane's condition to keep Paige away from J.J. Paige had to tell J.J. that she would not be in Salem for the holidays. Victor's meeting to pressure Clyde did not go as planned. Rafe tried to catch Chad off guard, but Stefano foiled Rafe's plan. Nicole told Daniel that she wanted to date him.

What happened during the week of December 15, 2014

Johnny threatened to kill Ric if Sonny refused to sign over Sonny's criminal organization to Johnny. Shawn reported to Sonny that Ava's baby had been rescued and that Franco, Nina, and Ava had been arrested. Sonny thanked Shawn for the update then told Shawn about Johnny's threat. Sonny ordered Shawn to find Ric within the forty-eight hour window Johnny had given Sonny, or Sonny would give in to Johnny's demands. Duke agreed to string Julian along until Shawn could locate Ric. Julian was furious when Carlos revealed that Ric was hidden in the trunk of a car stashed at Johnny's old auto shop. Julian reminded Carlos that Carlos worked for Julian, not Johnny, so Carlos agreed to release Ric if Sonny refused to meet Johnny's demands. Anna implored Jordan to remain undercover until Ric was returned home. Nathan asked Alexis to represent Nina in court. Nina insisted that Alexis also help Franco. Judge Walters denied Maxie's request for visitation with Georgie because Maxie had defied the judge's orders by spending time with Nathan on several occasions. Elizabeth was outraged that Sam suspected Jake of being the gunman who had helped Faison escape based on an expression that Jake and the gunman had used. Jake had a flashback of taking Sam hostage. Helena warned Nikolas that he would lose everything if he failed to take his place as the patriarch of the Cassadine family. Michael evicted Morgan and Kiki. Silas ran a DNA test to determine the baby's paternity.

Neil told Lily that he was tempted to take a drink. Lily relayed her concerns about Neil to Devon and Hilary, and Hilary pushed Devon to spend more time with Gwen. Nikki refrained from speaking when she saw Neil at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Kevin accidentally informed Fen that Michael had cancer. Michael balked at starting cancer treatment, terrified that he'd become dependent on Lauren. Joe taunted that Dylan had only proposed to Avery because Joe was back in her life. Joe planned a fancy event to convince people to support his revitalization project, while Paul played Santa at a children's party at Crimson Lights to get the community to rally around Dylan. Nikki asked Paul to co-host an engagement party for Avery and Dylan. Nick thanked Sage for saving his life. Noah and Mariah unsuccessfully attempted to talk Nick out of pursuing full custody of Faith. Faith disappeared while in Nick's care. Mariah resisted her growing feelings for Kevin. Jack refused to give Sharon her job back. Chelsea presented Victoria with a christening gown for Katie. Billy and Stitch made amends. Billy and Chelsea spotted Sage at Delia's memorial. Adam had conversations with Victor and Chelsea without being recognized. Adam plotted to pose as Gabriel and win Chelsea's heart in an effort to reclaim his life. Adam revealed his true identity to Jack, who wanted to notify Billy.
