General Hospital's Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase) and his wife Lauren (ex-Nurse Janet) shared some exciting news on Instagram when they announced that they had moved out of Los Angeles and officially settled into their newly renovated farmhouse.
"After a 9 month farmhouse renovation, we are so happy to tell the world. WE BOUGHT A FARM! We know we have a looooot to learn, and so many memories to make. Saying bye to Los Angeles was bitter sweet, but we are looking forward to the next chapter!" the post read. It was accompanied by a video of Josh and Lauren touring their farm with their two young children and checking out the lush orchards, the stunning vistas, and a few beautiful horses.
Over the summer, the Swickards spoke to Soap Opera Digest when the couple had first made the move. Josh revealed that they had been living in a van with their two young children during the renovations. Although the situation had its challenges, Lauren admitted that it was fun to be in close proximity to one another. "We cook together and we get creative about where we eat because it's kind of crowed to eat in there," she explained. However, there was plenty of room to go on an adventure and picnic outside.
Lauren explained that her daughter Savannah loved it because she had her parents -- Savannah's two favorite people -- in the same room with her at all times. Savannah's younger brother Arthur was born in February 2023. Josh admitted that Savannah was great with her brother, but she was still adjusting to being a big sister, especially when she saw her dad holding the baby.
As for the big move, Josh confessed that looking back, it was a happy and fun adventure. "It's been a crazy time, but so fun, though!" the actor said. The Swickards are excited about the next chapter for their family, but Josh was quick to assure his fans that he had no plans to leave the show.
