Hayley and Arlene continued arguing. Hayley was about to hit her when Mateo stopped her. Hayley told her mother that if she ever touches Mateo again, she would not be held responsible for her actions. Arlene told Hayley that she sounded tough, but laughed off Hayley's death threat. Adam walked in and asked Arlene if she thought he was capable of killing her. Adam said that he could wrap his hands around her "scrawny neck" and strangle her and not give it a second thought. He asked her what possessed her about humiliating her daughter on local television and Arlene replied that it was probably the vodka and then asked Adam if he wanted some. Adam took the flask away from her and then she asked him what he was doing there. Adam said that he came to stop her. Arlene said that the show was over; he missed it. Hayley told her dad that he missed the best part --- that when Mateo pulled Arlene off the set, she rewarded him by giving him a big fat kiss on the lips. Adam told Arlene that her days of ruining Hayley's life were over. Adam claimed that Arlene that was jealous of her daughter and everything she does eats away at her. Mateo said that he was taking Hayley away from the station and her squabbling parents. Mateo told Adam that this would not have happened if he wasn't "such a jackass." Security came to escort Adam and Arlene out of the building and Adam asked them to wait a minute while he talked to her. Arlene told him that she would leave him alone if he would just give her the money he owed her. Adam said that she was joking, she blamed Liza for her miscarriage, she lied to Hayley, she ran Stuart down with her car and left him for dead. Adam told her that she would be lucky to get out of town with her hair and fingernails. Adam also reminded her about fraud and conspiracy. He would not give her the original divorce settlement. Arlene said that she would fight him on this because he could not leave her with nothing. She said that if he did this to her, she would sue him. Adam then walked out and left Arlene with the security guard.
Bianca and Leo were at SOS talking. Bianca asked Leo if it was weird to ask him to make love to her. Leo told her that they were friends. Leo said that he had two rules...one was not having sex with a minor and the other was no sex with women who were attracted to women. He told her that there is nothing wrong with being gay. Bianca said that her first time was with a girl and that is all she knows. She told Leo that maybe if she made love to a guy she might like it. Leo told her that she might not like it either. She told Leo that he needs to help her. Leo, however, said that he couldn't. Without any kind of warning, Bianca grabbed Leo and kissed him. Bianca begged Leo to make love to her and Leo said that she was not ready. Leo told her that being normal was not everything it was cracked up to be. Leo told Bianca that he could not tell her what to do, she had to try to work things out herself. Leo told Bianca that if she was 18, he would make love to her in a "Pine Valley second." Bianca said that if he doesn't care, she would not bother him anymore and then left. Greenlee walked in as Bianca was walking out and asked Leo if that was the "lez bee" buzzing off. She grabbed his arm and he tried to walk away and he told her that he had to go after Bianca. Leo asked Greenlee how she could be so clueless. After musing that she was born that way, Greenlee asked Leo what was troubling Bianca. Leo told her that Bianca was confused about her being "gay." Greenlee asked Leo if he was supposed to set her straight --- no pun intended. Leo told Greenlee that he didn't know what to say to Bianca and that everything he said came out wrong. Leo decided that he had to go find Bianca before she did something stupid. Greenlee asked Leo what kind of crisis could a girl who liked girls get into. Leo left SOS and Greenlee was right behind him.
Dixie and David were passionately kissing in her home. David told Dixie that he wants her but "not like this." He said that he could not ignore his feelings for her. David claimed that he has never felt this way toward anyone else and then he asked her to forgive him. Just then, Dixie heard Tad's car drive up and told David that Tad was home. Dixie told David to leave. David informed Dixie that he had no intention of breaking up her marriage. Tad walked into the house talking on the phone to Liza and Dixie just stood there in her negligee almost in shock.
David went back to his office and had Gordon take another blood sample from him. Gordon asked David if he "got lucky" as a result of Libidozone. David told him that it was none of his business. Gordon reminded him that they were partners and then David countered that Gordon was an employee and could be replaced. Gordon told David that he would like to try a dose or two himself, he could use some help with the ladies. David told him that this was not what he needed for his love life; This was a legitimate medical trial. David told Gordon to get back to the lab and get the test results ASAP. David started recording his progress into his tape recorder. He said that it had been 18 hours since he ingested the double dose of the drug. The symptoms he was feeling were rapid breathing, rapid pulse, dizziness, and continuing to struggle to maintain control. He then said that he "blew" it and then hit his hand on the table. He said that if the Libidozone would have been at full effect, heaven knows what would have happened to Dixie. His mother, Vanessa, walked in and announced to David that she knew what he was doing. He told her to get out and she refused. She told him that she knew what he was doing to Dixie. She also said that she knew he was bringing Jake up on charges before the hospital board. and that Palmer oversees the hospital board and was not happy because Dixie is his favorite niece and Jake is related to her. Vanessa told him that it would be in his best interest not to hurt Dixie because he would never recover from Palmer's revenge. David told his mother that this he had no plans to hurt Dixie, this is just about the Martins. Vanessa said that attacking the Martin men was all wrong. Vanessa cracked, "imagine, puppy love at your age." She told him that she knew that this foolishness would destroy his job at Pine Valley Hospital. She said that his strategy for going after Dixie couldn't be more misguided. David wanted to know what he was doing wrong. Vanessa said that she sometimes wonders what David uses for a brain. After she left, David sat back in his chair and thought about the kiss from Dixie and how she responded back to him. David thought that maybe Vanessa was on to something.
Hayley was on the phone talking to Tina. Tina was really upset about Adrian's dad and she told Hayley to thank Mateo for letting her leave early. Mateo asked Hayley if she wanted him to bounce her mother out of town. Hayley said that her mother doesn't bounce. He then suggested getting a bodyguard, a restraining order or pit bulls. Hayley said that there was nothing to keep her mother from slithering in to their lives whenever she pleased. Hayley told Mateo that the thing that really gets to her the most was how Arlene kept telling her how much alike they are. Mateo said that she was messing with her head. Hayley decided to go to an AA meeting. Mateo told Hayley the worst was over and Hayley told him to not make promises that Arlene can't keep.
Bianca went into BJ's and saw some of her friends from school. Marcus, captain of the soccer team, called her over to the table to join them. She started to "come on to him" by flirting. Marcus asked her if she wanted to go to the jukebox and play some songs. While they were over there, the other girls wanted to know what was going on. They said that she was all over him and wondered if she "put out." When they came back to the table, he asked her how her drink was. She said it was OK. Marcus wanted to add some rum to it and Bianca said that she never tried it. One of the girls asked her if she was afraid her mommy would be upset. Bianca said no and Marcus put some rum into her drink. Leo and Greenlee came in and noticed Bianca right away. Leo said that she seems to be holding her own. Greenlee saw her flirting and she commented that Bianca was trying to find out how the other half lived. Leo told Greenlee that if she thought this was funny, then she should leave. Greenlee said that this is exactly what Bianca needs... trying to seduce the high school makeout king. Leo wanted to go over to Bianca and talk to her and Greenlee told him to let her work it out her own way. Bianca told Marcus that she thought she saw his SUV outside and wanted to know if he had a navigation system on it. He started to explain about his SUV and one of the girls at the table said that the best part was the back seat and there was plenty of legroom. Bianca said that she would like to see it sometime. Marcus said that it could be arranged. He offered to give her a tour and Bianca said that it was getting crowded in there anyway. As they walked past Leo, he tried to stop her so he could talk to her. Bianca told Leo that she knew what she was doing and walked out of the building with Marcus.
Tad finally got off of the phone and he could tell how much Dixie was upset with him because he had to leave her earlier. He said that he would make it up to her and he tried to kiss her. She pulled herself away and told him that she was upset because the picture frame was broken. Tad said that he would replace it tomorrow and buy her five more. The phone rang and it was Liza again. Tad told Dixie that if she would just give him 5 minutes, it would be him, her and the negligee for the rest of the afternoon. Dixie left to get 2 glasses of water and when she came back with them in her hands, Tad grabbed her and she dropped and broke the glasses. She started to cry and Tad wanted to know what was wrong because when he left earlier, she was OK and now she wasn't. Dixie tried to tell him through her tears. She finally said that David came over and what happened didn't mean anything. Tad asked her if he kissed her. She replied, "Yes."
Arlene called Vanessa and told her it was an emergency. When Vanessa showed up, Arlene told her that she could not drive home and Vanessa told her that's what taxicabs are for. Arlene told Vanessa that Adam cut her off completely because she lied about the miscarriage. Vanessa said that Arlene's financial woes really didn't concern her. Vanessa said that she "got sloppy" and didn't even remember there were surveillance cameras in every room of her house. Arlene reminded Vanessa that she had given her money when she was broke. Vanessa told her that "it was not charity, it was blackmail." Arlene told Vanessa that she wanted the money she had given her back. Vanessa said that Palmer would be home soon and then she left.
Adam went to SOS looking for Hayley. Mateo told him that she went to an AA meeting. Mateo told Adam that if he hadn't married Arlene, she would have left town months ago and everything would be fine. Mateo told Adam that apparently Hayley had not been on the top of his priority list this year. Adam said that he had no idea things would turn out as they did. Adam promised that he would protect Hayley any way he could. Mateo said that if he was worried about Hayley's happiness, he needs to keep Arlene away from Hayley. Mateo also told Adam that if Arlene comes within sniffing distance of Hayley, he would come after him.
David called Joe Martin and said that he needed to talk to him and Jake right away. He had a confession to make.
Tad started to bolt out of the house and Dixie asked him where he was going. He said he would give her a hint and the hint was for her to call 911. Dixie pleaded with Tad to stop, but Tad said that David deserves whatever he gets because he had "forced" himself on Dixie. Dixie told Tad that David hadn't forced himself on her --- she kissed him back. Tad just stood there... stunned.
Tad looked at Dixie as they talked about "THE KISS". Dixie told Tad it was "just a kiss." Tad asked Dixie "Who are you? I don't understand. How could you do it?" Dixie replied "It was just one moment --- one mistake. I stopped it, I didn't let it go any further. All I want to do is forget this." Tad was more than angry that she wanted him to forget about it. Dixie apologized to him again. Tad asked if this was payback for his sleeping with Liza. Dixie tells him that what happened between her and David was different than what happened between him and Liza. Tad says that it didn't "just happen," that it's been coming for a long time. "I told you you shouldn't work for that snake," Tad tells her. Tad asks Dixie if she is attracted to David. Dixie assured Tad that she wants him --- not David - and that he shouldn't be threatened by David. Dixie told her husband that she wants to move on. She again asked for forgiveness, but Tad admitted that he can't get the picture out of Dixie and David kissing out of his head. He said he never once worried about something like this. Tad questioned if he hasn't done enough for her to make her happy. Tad sighed deeply and told Dixie that as long as she and David weren't going to kiss again, he could forgive her. Dixie had a strange look on her face and Tad asked her what was wrong. She tells him about the first kiss and Tad leaves. After Tad left, Dixie recalled some of things that both Tad and David had said to her. After snapping back to the present, she reached for the phone.
Ryan walked into Adam's study. Ryan tells Adam that he has arranged the yacht for Adam's Incredible Dream with Liza. Adam's phone rings --- it's Barry. Adam instructs Barry to make sure to hire a guard to keep Arlene away from Hayley. Meanwhile, Ryan has put on the television to check on the Stock Market and sees a news report about Jake and Gillian delivering the baby in the cabin. Also in the report, Ryan learned that Jake has started a fund for unwed mothers. Ryan turned off the television and threw the remote. Adam senseeds that Ryan wais upset about Jake and Gillian and fueled the fire. "Don't get mad when you can get even," Adam sneered. Ryan asked Adam how he can be more like him. Adam tells him that he always wanted to "one-up" Pete Cooney. Ryan's clueless expression made Adam realized that Ryan wasn't familiar with Palmer Cortlandt's birth name. Adma told Ryan that he'll get nowhere unless he crushes Jake Martin. Adam mentioned Gillian's name and Ryan lost his temper. Adam explains that if Ryan blows Jake out of the water, Gillian will be his. Ryan said that no one is going to beat him, especially Jake Martin. Adams urged Ryan to fight to get Gillian back. Ryan asked Adam if he would mind if his incredible dream was to be held in middle of one of the biggest parties ever. Adam shrugged and said that he didn't mind. Stuart arrived as Ryan was leaving and asked Adam what he did to Ryan. Adam told Stuart that Ryan wants to conquer the world.
Gillian sees Dimitri and Alex in the hallway outside of David's office. Dimitri goes in to see David for a checkup. Alex stays to talk to Gillian, who tells her that she and Jake are back on track and that Ryan is no longer a part of her life. Alex goes into David's office. Jake comes by and tells Gillian that he was called by David and Gillian wants to come along. Joe stops and sees Jake and Gillian and tells him he was also called by David. Dimitri and Alex tell David how grateful they are for all his work in saving Dimitri. Joe, Jake and Gillian enter David's office and David asks Dimitri and Alex to stay, this affects them too. David says he is sorry to Jake. He apologizes to Alex as well that he hasn't been effective with the Andrassy Foundation lately. David tells everyone he is very tired, has been working very hard and needs a vacation. Joe agrees that he could use some time off. David offers his hand to Jake and asks if they could just put it all behind them and Jake says "not in my lifetime." Dimitri stands up for David and then Gillian says it's no excuse for his behavior. Joe thinks that David's apology is a good start. Dimitri says that the Andrassy Foundation would suffer if David were to leave the hospital. Joe asks if Jake threw the first punch and when he says yes, he says well then, David's apology is accepted and it is now in the past. Joe tells David to take all the time you need. Alex later questions David about the Libidizone and David tells Alex he won't do any research for it under the Andrassy Foundation. Outside Dimitri and Alex tell Gillian not to be a stranger. Ryan comes up to Gillian and Jake and asks to talk to Jake about something they both care a lot about.
Tad shows up at David's office and says. "I hope you can take me without an appointment."
Leo and Greenlee arrive at Erica's looking for Bianca. Greenlee can't help but pick on Bianca by making wise cracks about her. Leo is afraid that Bianca might try something with Marcus. Greenlee keeps trying to seduce Leo, but he is upset about Bianca being out with Marcus. He tries calling her on her cell phone, but she won't answer.
Marcus and Bianca are at the Boathouse and Bianca turns her phone off because it keeps ringing. She grabs Marcus and starts kissing him. Marcus stops and Bianca what her story is. Bianca asks him "what story" with a panicked look on her face. He says that at first she wanted nothing to do with him and now this. Bianca says she was shy at first, but not now. Marcus tells her that being Erica Kane's daughter means nothing to her.
Ryan and Greenlee are making out on the sofa and Leo can't stop worrying about Bianca. He feel's like it's his fault that she is out with Marcus. Greenlee tells her to let her be, it's not his job to worry about Bianca's sex life. Greenlee gets mad at Leo and leaves.
Meanwhile, Bianca keeps drinking the rum in Marcus' flask and is getting quite drunk. Marcus starts to kiss Bianca and she tenses up. He asks her if she is a virgin and she says "not exactly". Marcus asks if there is anything special she likes, he watches a lot of x-rated movies and Bianca just starts to laugh at him. Marcus wants to know what is so funny. He tells her the girls are right--she is weird and doesn't fit in. She picked the right Halloween costume--an alien. Just then Leo shows up and Marcus leaves. Bianca suddenly feels very sick.
Leo takes Bianca home and she is still feeling sick. Leo asks what Marcus did to Bianca and she says she really doesn't want to talk about it. He wants her to drink some water before she goes upstairs, saying that otherwise she'll feel worse in the morning. Bianca grumbled, but Leo insists that she should trust him. She says, "I do --- you and my Daddy" As Leo is helping Bianca up the stairs, Erica comes down and tells them not to move an inch.
Ryan continued his discussion with Gillian and Jake regarding "their mutual interests". He wanted to help Jake raise money for the pregnant teen fund Jake is starting. Ryan has been planning a party to launch his web site and offered to make it a fund raiser for Jake's project. Jake questioned Ryan's motives and wondered aloud why Pine Valley was starting to feel like Chechnya, i.e., Ryan trying to save Jake again? "I'm busted" said Ryan, admitting that he's trying to help himself by helping Jake. Jake would get the money his project needs while Ryan would get the publicity he needs. Gillian sensed another agenda and asked Jake if she could speak to Ryan alone. Hesitantly Jake said yes and left the two of them standing in a hospital corridor alone. Gillian asked Ryan what kind of scheme he was trying to pull, and Ryan denied any scheming going on. "Don't lie to me!", cried Gillian. "I'm not lying Princess", Ryan told her saying it's all about his work. Gillian felt that it was much more than that because they had loved each other and she left Ryan to be with her husband. Ryan claimed to be a different man than the one who loved her, and Gillian admitted to missing that man. Ryan told her that man is gone and that he can now go for whole days at a time and not think about Gillian. Gillian told Ryan that his hard edge was back, like when he first came to Pine Valley. "I'm the man I want to be", said Ryan. He went on to say that because of Gillian he had believed in fairy tales, princesses and heroes. Gillian interrupted saying he was still her hero. But Ryan told her that it was a crock, the hero lost, she chose Jake and now the tough guy would go it alone. He said he doesn't believe in love anymore.
After Jake left Gillian with Ryan he ran into Joe Martin. Joe told Jake he wanted him to understand why David gets to stay at Pine Valley Hospital. Jake said he understands but doesn't like it. Then he told his father about Ryan's offer. Joe asked if he doesn't trust Ryan. Jake said he believes Ryan wants Gillian back and is going after her. Joe said Gillian chose Jake and is devoted to him and that Jake should trust Gillian.
As Leo led a tipsy Bianca to her room, Erica met them on the stairs and demanded to know where they'd been. Leo told her they'd been at SOS but Erica didn't buy it saying she'd tried calling them but got no answer on their cell phones. Bianca began yelling at her mother, saying how she just wasn't as perfect as she was. Erica was close enough to Bianca to get a whiff of alcohol and asked Bianca if she had been drinking. Bianca told her mother she was "drunk on life". Before Bianca could say any more, Leo jumped in and told Erica he had given Bianca the drink, he thought she could handle it. Erica went crazy on Leo, telling him he was to move out immediately, he was off the Enchantment campaign and if she ever caught him near Bianca again she'd slap him with a restraining order. At that point Bianca defended Leo and said she scored the booze because she wanted to feel numb. Erica asked her why she wanted to feel numb and Bianca answered "You don't want to go there with me Mom". Of course Erica did want to go there and demanded an explanation. Leo tried to help out Bianca but was told to stay out of it. Bianca began to feel faint but Erica told her "you're not fainting on me, you're telling me what's going on!". Leo was ordered to keep Bianca awake while Erica went to make coffee. Bianca asked Leo to help her tell her mother why she got drunk and tried to "make it with Marcus" and why she couldn't make it with him. She wished Sara was there with her and would take her far away. Bianca told Leo about her relationship with Sara, how they used to talk all night long. She described the first time they kissed, after watching a boy and girl in the rehab center make out. Sara had asked Bianca if she'd ever hooked up with anyone before and Bianca had said no, that she was afraid to get that close. Then Sara leaned over to Bianca and kissed her. Bianca said it felt like "I'd been holding my breath all my life and when Sara kissed me I could breathe again". Then she almost desperately asked Leo how Sara could have said that they were a mistake and hurt her like that, as Erica unseen came back into the room. "Who's Sara?" asked Erica. She wanted to know if Sara was the reason Bianca got drunk. Bianca told her mother that she had met Sara in rehab and had become close to her. "Something happened between me and Sara", Bianca confided. Leo encouraged her to go on, but she faltered, saying it was personal. She wanted her mother to understand that what happened to her was real and that it changed her. Erica said "Something happened between you and this girl?" and Bianca nodded. With an all knowing look Erica told Bianca she didn't have to explain, that she knew exactly what happened. Bianca looked stunned and confused. Erica went on to say she'd been in that same situation when she was younger. She had fallen for a boy named Phil Brent and Tara Martin had stolen him away. Erica believed that Bianca's best friend Sara stole Bianca's boyfriend! Erica tol
After Tad left their house, Dixie stood alone in the living room replaying the kiss with David and her conversation with Tad. She realized that Tad was going to David's office and she grabbed her coat to run out the door. There stood Liza, looking for Tad. Liza asked why Dixie was going out dressed in a negligee and was told that she had to go stop Tad from killing David. Liza wanted to know if David did something to Tad and Dixie said no. Then Liza asked if David did something to Dixie and Dixie just looked at her guiltily. She yelled at Liza to get out of her way but Liza pushed her back into the living room. "Did he force himself on you?" she asked Dixie. She told Dixie that married women are David's passion, but Dixie admitted to Liza she wasn't forced. Liza wouldn't let Dixie leave, telling her that she's the only woman Tad has ever loved or wanted, she's his life. She accused Dixie of selling him down the river for a stolen kiss. She went on to tell Dixie that Tad has Dixie on a pedestal because he's always been the screw up. Dixie cried "I didn't sleep with David!" and Liza told her no, but you wanted him. Liza tried to give Dixie advice about Tad, and told her that when Tad is alone he goes into a dark place where Ray Gardner lives. She told Dixie that she had better show Tad how much she loves him . Dixie screamed back at Liza that she's trying to get Tad in bed with her. Liza told Dixie that she is right but that Tad only loves Dixie and that she'd better be the woman Tad needs her to be.
Tad found David in his office removing his bandage from his wounded hand. David asked Tad if he'd heard the good news about the complaint against Jake being dismissed and apologized for making light of Jake's medical condition. Tad told David he was there to discuss Dixie. David reminded Tad that Dixie quit so that there was nothing for them to talk about. Tad recalled when Dixie took the job with David and the two men admired Dixie's dedication to her work. David gave Dixie credit in saving Dimitri's life, saying she wouldn't let Dimi give up. "Sounds like she's the heart of this operation" said Tad. He asked David how he would be able to go on with out Dixie. Then he accused David of hiring Dixie not because he needed an assistant, but because David wanted Dixie personally. David told Tad he thought he should get security in the office to protect both of them but Tad hung the phone up. Tad told David not to worry, he wasn't going to beat him, that would give him too much publicity. "You messed with the wrong person's wife" he snarled at David. Tad swore that he would make sure David would be scarred for the rest of his life. David reminded Tad that there are laws against harassment and Tad said there are also laws against sexual harassment. Tad brought up Nurse Amy and the tryst she and David had in his office, on the very desk at which they were now sitting. David taunted Tad saying that no one in the hospital would ever testify against him but Tad told him that there were many women in the hospital that would love to testify against him. Tad told David that even if the trial went David's way, his golden reputation would be trashed and that no reputable hospital would take him on staff. David challenged Tad to go ahead with it, his lawyer would bring Dixie to the stand and she'd have to admit that she was no victim, that she'd desired David as much as he desired her. Tad stormed out of the office just as Leslie Coulson came in. She asked David what was eating Tad. David told her that Tad is upset because he and Dixie will soon be splitting up.
Milling about the sunroom at Pine Valley Hospital, Dimitri tried to pry Alex away from her work to join him on a walk. Though he was pleased to see his wife back at work, Dimitri enjoyed, perhaps somewhat selfishly, Alex having a clear schedule for him. Alex smiled warmly and told Dimitri that she was going to be busy with patients for most of the morning --- but that she would be more than willing to slip him into her schedule later in the day. Dimitri nodded in agreement and wandered off to ask some questions about the fund Jake had set up for pregnant teens. Soon after he left, Edmund stepped out of a nearby room and walked over to Alex. The two briefly discussed Edmund's upcoming initial appointment with the psychiatrist Alex had recommended. Edmund was a bit nervous about telling a complete stranger that he was "seeing" his dead stepfather. Alex wrapped her arm around Edmund and assured him that everything would work out. As they walked down the hall together, Dimitri returned and saw them walking away. Later, Alex met in the sunroom with a patient. Dimitri returned and asked Alex if she was ready for the walk that they'd discussed. Alex nodded with a smile, but her pager sounded and thwarted her attempt to play hooky for a little while. Dimitri waited in the room while Alex stepped away. He pulled out his cellular phone and called Tempo to see if Edmund had reported for work. At about the same time that the receptionist was informing Dimitri that Edmund was a no-show, Edmund strolled into the sunroom. Dimitri wasted no time in asking Edmund why he was at the hospital. Edmund informed his brother that his dealings at the hospital were none of his business. "I'm trying to do the right thing," Edmund explained. Dimitri nodded. He then told Edmund that if he is truly interested in doing the right thing, he should start off by staying away from Alex.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Greenlee waited nervously while her grandfather underwent a checkup. Woodruff showed up and smiled broadly: The doctor gave him a clean bill of health. Greenlee was overjoyed, but her jubilance was diminished by her frustration over her floundering relationship with Leo. She told her grandfather that she was irked about Leo's involvement in Bianca's life. She likened Leo's interest in Bianca to that of a big brother. Woodruff saw nothing wrong with that, but he listened as Greenlee fumed about her need to get Leo out from under Erica's roof.
In his office, David recalled the threats Tad had made to him. David called Leslie to summon her to his office to talk about his current predicament. When Leslie arrived, she tried to talk David out of legal action against Tad. The publicity, she explained, would not be good for anyone involved. They stepped into the hallway where Amy arrived with a folder for David. David took the papers from the icy nurse and headed back to his office. Amy warned Leslie about being alone with David. Leslie found the remarks interesting and stepped back into David's office to warn him about his libidinous ways. In short, David needed to clean up his act before he really faced problems.
Leo was sprawled out on the sofa at Erica's house when a knock sounded on the door. He quickly leapt to his feet and scurried over to the front door. Outside, Jack was smiling broadly. He stepped into the house and handed Leo a copy of his Enchantment contract. Even before reading it, Leo was ready to scrawl his name on the dotted line. Bianca staggered down the steps, her head pounding. It didn't take Jack but a second to realize that his niece had a hangover. "Welcome to Bianca's first hangover," said Leo, almost boastfully. Leo stepped into the kitchen and whipped up a hangover antidote using one of Vanessa's recipes. Bianca swore that she'd never take another drink. Erica stormed down the steps and ordered her daughter off to school. Bianca pleaded with her mother to talk in a softer voice and then said that she wasn't feeling well enough to go to school. Erica relented and agreed to let her daughter to stay home. Erica spotted the contracts in Jack's hands and used them as a way to get rid of Leo and Bianca. She handed the contracts to the pair and asked them to go outside and read them. After they left, Erica and Jack battled over the reason for Bianca's drinking binge. Jack accused Erica of driving Bianca to drink by forcing her to become part of the Enchantment campaign. Erica shook her finger defiantly and explained that Bianca's drinking had been brought on by something entirely different. She fed Jack the story of her belief that Bianca's friend in rehab had stolen her boyfriend. Outside, Bianca scanned over the Enchantment contract and found a clause that worried her greatly. Bianca feared that a morality clause, one that prevents models from doing anything that could embarrass the company. Bianca feared that the news of her sexual preference could result in all kinds of trouble. Leo tried to calm her down, saying that her sexual preference wouldn't be a violation of a morals clause. Perhaps, but Bianca knew that being a public figure would open herself up to the possibility of a tabloid frenzy. She told herself that she needs to be more careful --- no more gay bars. A deliveryman walked up the sidewalk and handed Bianca a certified letter for her mother. Bianca signed for the letter and raced inside to deliver it to her mother. Erica opened the envelope and found an invitation to Ryan Lavery's party for the IPO of incredibledreams.com. Bianca asked if she was also invited. Erica cocked her head to the side and said that Bianca was invited, but she asked when Bianca had become so fond of parties. Bianca smiled and explained that she likes parties --- she just doesn't like being the center of attention. Erica grumbled that she probably would not attend the party. Jack leaned over to Bianca and whispered that Erica didn't want to go because she didn't have an escort. Jack stepped forward and offered to take Erica. Bianca surprised her mother by giving her "permission" to go with her Uncle Jack. Erica was taken back by the remark because Bianca had previously let it be known that she didn't like her and Jack spending a lot of time together. Later, Greenlee stopped by with plans to spend some time with Leo. She placed a blindfold on her beau and led Leo off to parts unknown. Bianca looked on with a smile, laughing as Leo fumbled blindly towards the door. Rain paid Bianca a surprise visit a little while later. They two girls embraced at the door. Rain asked Bianca if she was mad at her for taking her to the Blue Angel. Bianca shook her head and asked Rain to keep her voice down because her mother was home. Having heard the voices, Erica wandered down the steps and asked Bianca why Rain had stopped by. She then remarked that if Bianca was up to company, she should be able to go to school. Rain quickly filed out of the house, leaving Erica to ask Bianca why she associates with the likes of Rain. "I like her," Bianca replied. Erica shook her head and said that she doesn't understand what Bianca sees in Rain. Bianca bowed her head and muttered that she doesn't expect her mother to understand.
Tad gave Dixie the silent treatment as he prepared to go to work. Dixie pleaded with her husband not to ignore her, but Tad remained quiet. Finally, when pushed, Tad broke his silence. He angrily asked Dixie about the first time she and David had kissed. Tad told Dixie that he wanted to know where and when the first kiss occurred. Dixie tried to dodge the question, saying that she didn't remember because it "just happened." Tired of hearing Dixie recite the same response over and over, Tad grabbed Dixie by the shoulders and shook her. Dixie was visibly shaken (no pun intended) and asked that Tad unhand her. Dixie took a deep breath and told Tad that the first kiss happened at the end of the summer while she and David were arguing about Dimitri's treatment. Tad nodded slightly, recalling that when Dixie showed up at SOS she was "all over" him on the dance floor. He unfurled with a crack about Dixie having danced that way because David had turned her on. Dixie insisted that Tad's remark was off the mark. Asked why she didn't quit her job on the spot, Dixie claimed that she was engrossed in treating Dimitri and for the first time felt as though she was "a part of something." Tad angrily snapped that he was sorry that being the female head of a family didn't make her feel like a part of anything important. Tad received a phone call from Leslie Coulson asking him to meet her so that they could discuss David. Tad agreed and they decided to meet at the The Valley Inn. Before leaving, Tad told Dixie that he wanted her to file sexual harassment charges against David. Dixie's eyes welled with tears and she nervously told Tad that she couldn't agree to his terms. She explained that suing David would mean that the incident would be public knowledge. Tad demanded that Dixie file the charges, hinting that it was the only way that he would be able to forgive her transgression. As Tad left, he told her to think about what he'd said.
In David's office, Gordon arrived with a diluted --- though equally effective --- version of Libidozone. David thanked the lab technician and sent him on his way. Before leaving, though, Gordon asked David to halt his experiments with the medication. David shooed Gordon, saying that his trials were really none of his business. Soon after Gordon left, David smiled evilly. He told himself that it was only a matter of time before he viewed the effects of Libidozone on Tad Martin.
Greenlee led Leo, blindfolded, to a vacant apartment, which happened to be in Ryan's building. He didn't get it, so Greenlee explained that the apartment would be perfect for the couple and their dog, Happy. "Out of all the buildings in Pine Valley, you rented an apartment above Ryan Lavery and you expect me to live in it?" Leo asked.
Greenlee didn't think living above Ryan would be a problem. She no longer had any feelings for him she explained. She and Leo needed some stability. "Isn't that what you want?" she asked.
Greenlee smiled and asked Leo if he really loved he. She admitted that she loved him too. Then why, she asked, couldn't they move in together? Leo said the timing was wrong. He then admitted that he didn't want Greenlee to keep him. He wanted to pay his own way and refused to take money from her. She couldn't believe it. He just didn't want to live with her. Angry, Greenlee stormed out of the apartment.
Ryan made last minute plans for his big announcement at the Valley Inn. Adam happily greeted Liza in the busy room. She asked Adam if his good mood was due to his pending divorce from Arlene. Adam said he hadn't had a chance to talk to Arlene and Liza replied that they had nothing to talk about either. Liza accused Adam of planning their meeting at the Valley Inn, but Adam denied it. He said he was there for the press conference, where Ryan would announce incredibledream.com's gala fundraiser for pregnant teens. Liza wondered why Adam would be interested and he admitted that he had been mentoring Ryan. He then revealed he had been thinking about returning to Chandler Enterprises. Liza explained that neither she, Tad nor the Board of Chandler Enterprises wanted Adam back. Adam didn't see the Board as a problem. Liza suggested that he work as a consultant.
Liza asked Ryan why she had been invited to the press conference. He handed her two tickets to the fundraiser while evading her question. She accepted the invitation, but continued with her questions. Why had Ryan chosen to hold the event on a yacht? Why was Adam working so closely with Ryan? Ryan chalked the two events up to a coincidence, but Liza said she was not fooled. Adam was plotting something. "The only thing I'm giving away is a check, got that?" she told Adam. As Liza marched away Ryan told Adam he would get Liza on the yacht, but the rest was up to Adam. The press conference started.
Ryan announced the gala to the press. Adam pledged that he would buy 10 tables at $5,000 a table.
Jake told Ryan he didn't appreciate being ambushed at the press conference. Ryan explained that he thought the publicity would be good for the project; Jake didn't believe it. Just then, Jake's pager went off. He had to return to the hospital. He kissed Gillian and left. Ryan apologized and Gillian said they should just forget about it. She complimented Ryan for his efforts for unwed teens. Greenlee approached the couple. "How do you do it?" she asked Gillian. "I can't get one man and you've got two dangling. And people call me a predator." Greenlee strutted away leaving the couple staring after her.
Erica walked into the restaurant to meet Bruce the photographer. She wanted to see the pictures of the shoot between Leo and Bianca. Both admitted they were terrible. While the kids were cute, they definitely were not photogenic. Erica blamed Bruce's heavy handed manner for the bad photos.
Tad joined Leslie Coulson at the Valley Inn. She tried to persuade Tad to drop the sexual harassment lawsuit against David Hayward, but Tad refused. Outside the restaurant, David looked on. He was holding a vial of Libidozone.
Leslie said she was on Tad's side. He wasn't hearing it and prepared to leave. "Isn't there anything I can do to change your mind?" She placed her hand over his. "That's not going to work," Tad said, snatching his hand away. David continued to look on smiling. Liza walked up to him and asked why he was lurking around. He said he was looking for a table where he wouldn't be disturbed. Liza accused him of watching Tad. "Why would I do that?" he asked. "Good question," she replied.
She approached Tad's table and asked to speak with him privately. She told him to take the day off and spend time with Dixie. He didn't understand. She continued that Tad should be at home and not with Leslie Colson. "Go home," she urged. Tad asked Liza if she had spoken to Dixie. Liza admitted she had spoken with Dixie the night before. "Do not let an idiot like David Hayward ruin it for you" Liza begged
David snuck up on Leslie and told her to go keep an eye on Tad and Liza. While no one watched, he dropped the Libidozone into Tad's drink.
David sat nearby and watched as Tad picked up the Libidozone-laced drink. When David saw Dixie walk into the restaurant David jumped up from his table and grabbed her. "Dixie, wait!"
"David let go of me." She snatched her arm away. As David tried to excuse his behavior, Tad jumped up from the table and got in his face. "This time we've got witnesses," Tad said. Dixie tried to get Tad out of the restaurant and Tad agreed to leave. David, visibly upset, asked Leslie to keep talking to Tad.
Erica walked up to David and asked if she could speak with him. "I'm at my wit's end," she said as she sat down at the table abandoned by Leslie and Tad. David picked up the laced drink and looked at it. Erica explained that while she thought that Bianca and Leo as the Enchantment couple was a good idea, the photographer said the two had no chemistry. She asked David to look at the pictures. Erica complained of a headache. She continued. Bruce had implied that Bianca had no sex appeal. Erica couldn't believe it. She pulled a pill out of her purse. "What does someone have to do to get a drink of water around here?, she asked. "Oh, good, your soda." She picked up the glass filled with Libidozone and took a huge swig as David looked on disbelievingly.
Outside the restaurant, Tad wondered why Dixie was there. He did not want to discuss dropping the sexual harassment lawsuit. Dixie asked what he would do if she couldn't go through with it. She admitted she was partially responsible for the two kisses between her and David. He said he couldn't help his anger and jumped up. "I can't do this now," he said and left to go to work.
A forlorn Dixie walked back into the restaurant.
Edmund and Dimitri talked in the hospital lounge. Edmund admitted that he still had feelings for Alex and said he would have to leave Pine Valley. Just then Alex walked in "You can't," she said. "That's not the answer." She asked him not to make any hasty decisions, but Edmund admitted that he was miserable, and interfering in the Maricks' lives. She begged him to see things through. She told him he would be uprooting the children and taking them away from Maria's family. He thought it would be the right decision especially since Dimitri now owned Wildwind. "He'll never throw you out," she said. Edmund left, Alex tried to follow, but Dimitri stopped her.
Edmund found his way to the Marick mausoleum where he began talking to Maria. He told her he thought he could survive anything after he survived losing her. He began to cry as he stroked her headstone. He planned to leave Pine Valley even though he knew Maria would not agree with this decision. He cried, "I miss you so much. I would do anything to be with you again." Edmund began to hear Alf speaking. "Why don't you stay here and take what is rightfully yours?" his stepfather taunted. "Dimitri took Maria; now he's taken Alex. And you let him. You're a disgrace, a pitiful excuse for a man." Alf continued. Edmund fought off Alf's hateful words. "Get out of my head; leave me alone." He fell to the floor of the mausoleum and sobbed. Dimitri stood outside and watched and listened.
