Annie went to see Adam at his mansion. She announced that she had a business proposition for him. He was uninterested in doing business with her since she was Richie's sister. She revealed that she knew Adam was plotting to take over Fusion and declared that she wanted to help. He asked how she found this out, so she explained that she overheard JR talking about the scheme. He wondered how she could help him, especially since she quit her job. She said that she would regain her position at the cosmetics company to spy for Adam. He inquired why Annie wanted to take down Kendall and Greenlee. She stated that she hated the two women for trying to ruin her life with Ryan.
Greenlee and Kendall gave Ryan proof that Annie was lying to him. They showed him the letters that Annie withheld from him to keep the truth about his vasectomy hidden. Ryan looked shocked and did not say a word. Kendall reinforced that Annie was lying to him and tricked him into having a baby. Kendall continued that they wanted to support him through the difficult time. Ryan said nothing. Greenlee asked Ryan how he was feeling. He snapped and yelled at the women for meddling in his life. He asked how they found out Annie's secret. Kendall admitted that she made a copy of Annie's key and discovered that it belonged to a mailbox. Kendall further explained that they went to the mailbox and found Ryan's mail. He was livid with them for going behind his back. They could not understand why he was mad at them when Annie was the one who tricked him into having a baby. He reminded them that they also tricked him into having a baby. Kendall told Greenlee to talk some sense into Ryan and stormed out.
Greenlee admitted to Ryan that Kendall had a vendetta against Annie, but she promised that her intentions were good. She felt that Ryan needed to know the truth about Annie, so he could get out of the marriage. He insisted that he did not want to leave his wife. Greenlee commented that he did not seem happy with his life. She wondered why he was unhappy, so he yelled out that she was the reason. She looked confused and hurt, so Ryan realized that he should not have made the comment. He backtracked and said that everyone in his life was making him unhappy, not just her. He stated that he needed space from everyone. She felt responsible for his sad state and apologized for her part. He apologized for making her feel guilty. He affirmed that she was his "port in the storm." She told him that he deserved a good life and urged him to leave Annie, but he refused.
Greenlee met Kendall at ConFusion. Greenlee was annoyed that Kendall left her alone with Ryan. Kendall persisted that Ryan needed to divorce Annie because she was crazy. Greenlee assumed that Ryan loved Annie, at least a little bit, because he was being loyal to their family. Kendall proceeded to blurt out that Ryan could not be in love with Annie because he was really in love with Greenlee.
Annie arrived at home and immediately began grilling Ryan about Greenlee's visit to their penthouse. He held up the letter that she hid from him and asked if she had anything she needed to tell him.
Carmen was making a big fuss about her date with Jack. She kept asking Adam for fashion advice. Adam told her that she could take one of his limousines to the Yacht Club for dinner. After she left, Adam called Erica to ask her out to dinner at the Yacht Club. Erica accepted the offer and Adam slyly smiled.
Erica requested that Jack bring over Carmen's files for her upcoming trial, so he brought them to her room at the Yacht Club. She divulged that Carmen had been involved with many, many men. He asked why she told him that. She claimed that she did not want Carmen's sordid history to hurt her chances in court. He noted that Carmen was no different than Erica when it came to dating numerous men. Opal then arrived as Jack was leaving. Opal wondered if they had a "lovers' quarrel," but Erica insisted that they were no longer lovers. Opal was impressed with Erica's ability to date hunky men, like Jack and Samuel.
Jack met Carmen at the Yacht Club for dinner. Carmen inquired if Greenlee was still excited about her wedding. He affirmed that his daughter was "over the moon." Carmen thought that Greenlee deserved to be happy and Jack agreed.
Adam and Erica walked into the Yacht Club and saw Jack and Carmen dining together. Erica realized that Adam purposely brought her there to witness Jack and Carmen's date. Erica informed Adam that she knew about the date and claimed that she was fine with it. She then turned to leave, but he stopped her. He urged her to stay to prove that she was fine with the date. Meanwhile, Jack and Carmen noticed Erica and Adam. Carmen assumed that Jack was merely using her to make Erica jealous. Carmen was agitated and exclaimed, "If you want to make Erica jealous, then let's make her really jealous!" Carmen proceeded to grab Jack's face and planted a big kiss on his lips. Erica looked annoyed.
Jesse went home and asked if Cassandra left for the airport. Angie replied that Cassandra was packing in her bedroom. Angie was having a difficult time handling her daughter's decision to move away. Jesse promised her that they would visit Cassandra as much as possible. He reminded her that Cassandra would visit them in Pine Valley as well. Angie thought that Cassandra would want to visit Dre, not her. He assured her that Cassandra would want to visit her and Frankie because they were her family.
Cassandra and Dre were discussing their plan to run away to Canada. Dre said that he would work while Cassandra worked on her art degree. Cassandra asked Dre if he had any doubts about skipping bail and leaving his father. He thought that leaving town might win his father some sympathy votes.
Cassandra went to see Angie and Jesse to say goodbye. Angie and Cassandra both began to cry as they said their farewells. Angie noted that their goodbye felt permanent, like the day she said goodbye to Jesse twenty years prior. As tears fell down Cassandra's face, she told her mother that she loved her very much. Jesse promised Cassandra that he would look after Dre while she was gone. Angie and Jesse then gave Cassandra a framed picture of them.
Cassandra cried as she entered her bedroom. Dre asked what was wrong. She felt very guilty for leaving her mother, so he stated that running away was a bad idea. They decided that Cassandra would go to Paris and Dre would remain in Pine Valley.
Jake went to his new apartment, but was surprised when he saw Taylor moving in with boxes. Taylor said they could share the apartment that evening and discuss ownership of it the next day. Amanda brought over some goodies for Jake's new apartment. Taylor was shocked when she saw Amanda greet Jake with a kiss. Amanda offered Jake a spot on her yacht after she found out that Taylor was living with Jake temporarily. After Amanda left, Taylor asked Jake if Amanda was his girlfriend. Jake said Amanda was just a friend. But when Taylor asked Jake if he was still involved with Aidan, Jake finally realized that Taylor thought he was gay. Taylor said she came to the assumption after hearing a phone conversation between Jake and Aidan. Taylor pulled out her military uniform. Jake thought she was retired, but Taylor said she was only on medical leave.
Tad and Aidan decided to have a "boy's night" with pizza and beer at Tad's home. Meanwhile, Kathy dreamed that Krystal gave Tad a poisoned apple similar to the "Cinderella" fairytale. Tad bit into the apple and fell to the floor. When Kathy rushed to his side, Krystal told her she would be next. Kathy woke up sweating, but Tad was by her side. Krystal came in the bedroom and suggested Tad wash down his pizza with an apple. Kathy took the apple and stuffed it in one of her toys while Krystal was not looking. After Aidan left, Kathy gave Tad a hug and whispered, "I'll save you daddy." She followed Krystal upstairs to bed. Kathy took the apple and threw it in the trashcan.
Carmen pulled away from the long kiss with Jackson. She told a shocked Erica that Jackson did not want Erica. Erica and Adam took their seat, but Erica's eyes could not stay off Jackson, who suggested he and Carmen go elsewhere. Carmen said that Jackson could have come to her to try to win Erica back. Instead, Carmen said Jackson used her like all the other men in her life had done. Erica called Jackson on his cell phone even though they were only a few feet from each other. Jackson walked over to Erica's table to try to straighten out their problems. Jackson said he was not going to sit at home, cry his eyes out, and wallow in pity because Erica wanted to date Samuel. Plus, Jackson said it was not Erica's business who he dated. Adam went to over to Carmen, who had already figured out that Adam set her up to hurt Erica. Carmen said she was finished working for Adam. Jackson returned to Carmen's table. Carmen threw the shoes and jewelry Adam bought her into the ocean. Jackson asked Carmen to stay and have dinner with him. He said he wanted to spend time with her and kissed her softly. Carmen asked Jackson to get her out of the restaurant. After they scurried off, Adam suggested that Erica was free to marry him since Jackson had moved on. Erica smacked Adam across the face.
Kendall told Greenlee that Ryan still loved her. Kendall said Ryan wanted to tell Greenlee the truth, but was scared it would ruin the relationship she shared with Aidan. Kendall said Ryan told her not to tell Greenlee the truth. Kendall was hoping Greenlee would proclaim her undying love for Ryan. But instead, Greenlee said she loved Aidan. Kendall said she was the reason Greenlee and Ryan broke up, but finally, they had a chance to start over. Greenlee told Kendall that she was angry Kendall would not accept that she loved Aidan. Greenlee told Kendall she should worry more about her own life than anything else. Greenlee said she never wanted to discuss the issue again and walked away. She went home and immediately embraced Aidan.
Annie told Ryan that she had been worried their relationship was coming to an end. She thought a baby would save their marriage. Annie said she wanted to tell Ryan the truth about his procedure, but changed her mind when she heard Kendall claim Ryan never loved her. Annie said she took hormone shots to speed up the chances of getting pregnant. Ryan said he felt like he never knew Annie, but she claimed they knew each other all too well. Annie admitted that Ryan did not deserve the awful ways she tricked him. Ryan asked Annie if she had any more secrets she needed to tell him. Annie tried to tell Ryan she killed Richie, but the words would not come out. Richie's ghost poked fun at Annie for not telling Ryan she killed him. Annie said she understood if Ryan wanted to leave her. But Ryan assured Annie that he was not going to walk out on her.
Jake awoke to Taylor doing push ups in the living room. He challenged her to a push up contest. Amanda walked in as Taylor beat Jake in the competition. Amanda gave Jake pastries for breakfast and asked if he was staying in the apartment. He decided to let Taylor take the place, so Amanda suggested that Jake move into Dr. David Hayward's vacant cabin in the woods. Jake was hesitant, but Amanda insisted on giving him her realtor's contact information.
Jake told Taylor that he was letting her have the apartment. As she shined her shoes, he asked her about the war. They got into a heated argument about Iraq. He thought that the war was pointless. She yelled that many good soldiers died in Iraq and affirmed that their presence in Iraq was meaningful. Jake got his stuff together and tried to make amends with Taylor. He told her to see him in the hospital if she needed help with her heel, but she coldly told him to leave. After he left, her teakettle began to whistle. The noise reminded her of the bombs and gunfire in Iraq. She looked very distraught and ran out of the apartment.
Ryan and Annie woke up in bed together. She inquired if he still wanted to be with her. He promised to remain loyal to their family.
Ryan and Zach were at ConFusion. Ryan confessed that he was unsure about the state of his marriage. Zach thought that Ryan should leave his wife because she lied. Ryan reminded Zach that Kendall lied to him, but he did not leave her. Zach believed that his situation was different. Zach suggested that Ryan "test" Annie to see if she had truly changed her ways. Zach then wondered what Ryan was going to do about his feelings of love for Greenlee. Ryan said that he was more nervous for Annie to find out then for Greenlee to find out.
Amanda was excited to show everyone the "secret project" that she created with Amanda. As Babe waited for Amanda to arrive at work, she gave Randi a preview of the project. Babe announced that they wanted to launch a perfume for the "everyday" woman, not just wealthy women like Kendall and Greenlee. Babe proceeded to reveal a picture of a perfume titled, "Working Girl." Just then, Amanda entered. Amanda asked Randi what she thought about the product, so Randi suggested that they change the name. Amanda realized that the title gave the wrong impression and agreed that they needed to change it.
Greenlee and Kendall stood outside of the Fusion office. They admitted that they had been neglecting Fusion, but vowed to get back on track. When they entered the office they were surprised to see Amanda and Babe discussing the new perfume. Kendall was appalled by the idea of selling a cheap perfume that anyone could afford. Amanda and Babe explained that many luxury brands were creating more affordable lines, but Kendall adamantly refused to manufacture the product.
Annie entered Fusion and asked for her job back. Kendall became irate because of the request, but Greenlee told Annie that she could return to work. Kendall pulled Greenlee aside and asked why Greenlee allowed Annie back. Greenlee stated that Ryan forgave Annie and moved on, so they should do the same.
Amanda and Babe continued to push their idea onto Kendall and Greenlee. Amanda offered to pay for the production and the launch of the perfume in exchange for 35% of the profits. Greenlee agreed to the idea, so Amanda, Babe, Randi, and Annie immediately began working on completing the project. Just as Zach arrived, Kendall stormed out in a fit of rage. Zach followed Kendall to ConFusion. Kendall was in no mood to talk, so Zach brought her to their beach house and "gave her a wake up call" by kissing her. Meanwhile, no one knew that Annie was spying for Adam. Annie called Adam to tell him that she already had good dirt for him.
Greenlee was the only person in the Fusion office. Ryan entered because he was looking for Annie. She explained that Annie went to ConFusion for lunch. He looked longingly at Greenlee, so she asked "Is it true?" He realized what she meant by the question and admitted that he was in love with her.
Jesse and Angie were getting ready for work when Jesse received a phone call stating that his crew found a wrench near the scene of Richie's murder. Jesse was excited about the prospect of finding the murder weapon and rushed off. After he left, the house phone rang. Angie answered the phone, but the person on the other end hung up.
Jesse brought the wrench to the hospital. He asked a doctor to test the tool to see if it had human blood on it. As the doctor ran the test, Jesse and Angie discussed the importance of the wrench. Jesse stated that if the wrench had Richie's blood on it, the teenagers would be completely exonerated. Jesse's phone rang, but when he answered it, the person on the other end hung up. Angie divulged that the same thing happened to her at their apartment. Jesse looked very nervous. Then, the doctor returned and revealed that human blood was on the wrench. Jesse asked the doctor to run a DNA test.
Angie met Jesse at their apartment for lunch. She was pleasantly surprised to see that he organized a picnic for them on the fire escape. As they ate, she questioned him about the twenty years he spent away from her. He was evasive about the topic, but she was persistent. She wanted to know if he met any people while he was gone. He claimed that he did not bond with anyone, in order to protect his identity. He explained that he worked odd jobs and never settled in one place for too long. She wondered why he would not give her any more details. He stated that he wanted to put the past behind him and focus on his future with her. They kissed. After Angie left the room, Jesse received another mysterious phone call. When he picked up he said, "It's you, isn't it?"
Ryan said he remembered being in love with Greenlee. When Greenlee asked Ryan if he still loved her, Ryan said he remembered loving all of the wonderful memories they shared. Ryan and Greenlee made a deal not to rehash their past because he thought they should both focus on their futures with their spouses. After Ryan left, Greenlee found Randi in the Fusion office. But the girls did not see Fletcher lurking behind one of the columns. Greenlee told Randi that she loved the campaign for the new perfume, and eventually, Kendall would come around. Greenlee met Aidan in ConFusion to assure him that her future was with him.
Annie boasted that Fusion immediately took her back, despite Kendall's temper tantrum. Adam said that Annie was no use to her if she could not get secrets from Kendall. Annie said she could use Babe and Amanda's hostility toward Kendall and Greenlee to get Adam the information he needed. Annie told Adam about Babe and Amanda's plans to introduce a new affordable fragrance. Adam said to handle Greenlee and Kendall, but did not want to divulge any information to Annie. Adam consulted his lawyer on his plans. But the lawyer said that Adam's plans were so risky, he would not get involved. Pete came to the room after hearing Adam saying he wanted to taint the new perfume, "Bella." Pete said he could make the ingredient Adam needed for the perfume undetectable, odorless, and colorless. Of course, the ingredient would not kill its customers, just give them a nasty rash. Adam wanted to know what Pete wanted in return. Pete said he wanted a chance to know Colby or else he would tell Palmer what Adam was planning. Adam agreed to speak to Colby, but thought she would never date Pete.
Ryan went home and found Annie throwing out some old stuff. He picked up a photograph of them together. Annie said the frame was cracked and needed to be replaced. But Ryan wanted to keep the picture in its original shape and placed it on the nightstand beside their bed. Ryan told Annie that he was keeping secrets, too, but did not want to burden her with details. As Ryan embraced Annie, she saw Richie taunting her in the corner. Annie suddenly cried out in pain and held her stomach. Annie went to the hospital, but discovered the pain she felt was only a cramp. Joe said if the cramping became regular, it could cause a miscarriage. He suggested that Annie cut back on her activity and reduce stress by staying in bed. Annie said she would let Ryan know about the bed rest. Annie told Ryan that she had nothing more than a cramp. When Ryan asked Annie if the doctors gave her any orders, she said no.
Kendall and Zach made love at the beach. Kendall said she needed to get to Fusion before Amanda and Babe's new fragrance ruined the company. But Zach wanted Kendall to forget about work and stay with him longer. He said they needed a break from the drama in Pine Valley. Kendall said she wanted to help her friends, but Zach thought the best way she could help was by not getting involved. Zach realized Kendall would never stop worrying about Greenlee, Ryan, and Annie - not even for a few days of quiet time with him. Kendall promised to try to focus on her marriage and not other people or problems at work. Zach did not look like he believed her. Kendall had a car come pick her up and take her back to Pine Valley.
Taylor asked Frankie to pull a few favors so the military would allow her back in the service. Frankie said he had no rights to override the military doctors. But Taylor pleaded with Frankie to help her get back to her unit. Frankie asked Taylor if she was having nightmares about her experiences. If so, Frankie suggested that Taylor might be suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Taylor said was not suffering from any medical condition. Frankie said she should not be scared to leave the military if it was for her own health. Taylor claimed she would never quit her job or leave her team behind. Fletcher went to the hospital to score some drugs from Frankie. Frankie said he would pay Fletcher with cash, but refused to steal drugs for him. Fletcher went into a medicine cabinet, pulled out a few bottles and shoved them in Frankie's hands. He said Frankie needed to get him the drugs if he could not pay up with cash. Randi stopped by to see Frankie. She invited him to a launch party for the "Bella" perfume. Frankie went home and told Jesse about Fletcher's threats toward Randi. Jesse was upset that Frankie hadn't come to him sooner, stating that as his father and would always be there to help him. Not so, according to Frankie, who added "I've learned to survive without one for the last 20 years." Jesse wanted to put Randi into protective custody, but Frankie explained that Randi had no idea that Fletcher was after her. Jesse told Frankie to watch over Randi.
Amanda showed David's old cabin to Jake. Jake got a bit scared when he saw a lizard walking through the cabin. Amanda calmly picked it up and put the critter outside. Amanda told Jake that she grew up playing with lizards as a tomboy. Amanda and Jake made love in the cabin.
Taylor went for a run to clear her mind. She saw Jake and Amanda running not far away.
Aidan found Ryan working on his motorcycle. As soon as he saw Ryan, Aidan punched him in the face.
Disgusted with the public display of affection Amanda and Jake showed each other while out for a run, Taylor attempted to turn on her heel and stalk off, but instead managed to unceremoniously fall over. Jake and Amanda rushed to her aid, but Taylor tried to regain her dignity and insisted that although she had sprained her ankle, she didn't need help. Jake was happy to let her keep up the façade but when she tried to get up and couldn't, he told her that she would need to get it taped up and offered to help her back to the apartment. She recalled her adverse reaction to the kettle whistling in her apartment and then agreed to be helped, as long as she could go anywhere but home.
Jake and Amanda took Taylor to the cabin, where she immediately commented on its remote nature. He reminded her that he'd have lived closer to town if she'd given up the apartment. As he propped up her injured foot, she told him that the apartment really wasn't all that great, moments before she found a pink bra wedged behind a pillow. Amanda tried not to gloat but her glee was squashed somewhat when Taylor bounced back and joked that if he planned to continue wearing women's underwear, he should know that pink was not the best color choice.
Taylor then brought the conversation back to the apartment and said that because she had forgotten to factor in the cost of utilities, the apartment was too expensive for her. Amanda offered her yacht as an alternative and said that she would enjoy the company. Taylor was surprised and grateful, and immediately took her up on her offer. The deal sealed, Amanda took her leave after she kissed her man goodbye. Once gone, Jake expected Taylor to rip into him because she and Amanda were so different but he showed interest in both of them. Taylor told him that she thought Amanda was nice, and Jake filled her in on all of the things that he liked about her. He then apologized for over-sharing, but she told him that it was just like being back with the men in her troop, and noted that she was anxious to get back to them, where she belonged.
Jake asked if she'd ever returned the favor and shared personal information with the guys she fought with. She admitted she had, but also noted that they knew when to stop talking. She took that as her cue to leave and, although Jake offered her a ride because he believed she shouldn't walk on her ankle, she stalked off as a refusal.
Erica showed up at the Montgomery residence when Jack refused to return her calls. She told him that she was concerned about Carmen because of what had happened at the Yacht Club, and Jack assured her that Carmen would get in touch when she was ready. He started to close the door in her face when Erica was treated to the sight of Carmen, clad only in one of Jack's shirts, carrying a tray of breakfast goodies out into the foyer. Erica immediately launched into a diatribe and insisted that she had been up all night worried that Carmen had done something stupid because of how upset she had been. She also confirmed that Carmen needed to continue to be careful in her decisions, lest she jeopardize her freedom.
Carmen promised that she would be careful, and then excused herself to change into something different. Before she could make it out of the room, Greenlee waltzed in the front door and was none too happy to see Erica. She then glanced to the side, saw Carmen, and was more than excited at what she knew had happened. Carmen scurried back to the bedroom as Jack admonished his daughter for her enjoyment of the situation. He told her that they could talk things over at a different time and she agreed, but wasted no time in pointing out to Erica that Jack had finally decided that he was over her. Greenlee practically skipped back to the door and opened it as an invitation for Erica to leave.
Erica attempted to divert her venom on to Greenlee's recent marriage and noted that it had done nothing to improve her attitude. Greenlee ignored the jab and pointed out that Erica's lashes were the result of her jealousy. She then read Erica the riot act and said that although Jack had done everything he could to win Erica's heart for good over the past twenty years, Erica had done nothing but take it for granted. Jack stepped in just then and asked his daughter to not make the situation any worse. Greenlee agreed to leave, but not before she warned Erica not to mess up Jack's newest chance at love. She then congratulated her father and kissed him goodbye. When Jack closed the door, Erica promised that she wouldn't ruin things if Carmen was who he really wanted. Irate, Jack asked why she continued to question that particular choice when she knew the answer already.
Jack gently explained that although Erica had been his one and only for years, they had failed to make it work. He told her that the feelings that they had shared wouldn't just go away, but that he couldn't wait around for a time when things could work with them. The irony, he pointed out, was that Erica was the one that showed him what a wonderful woman Carmen was, and because of that, he couldn't regret being with her. As tears rolled down Erica's face, Carmen rounded the corner and told Jack that he needn't say anymore because she felt that Erica understood. Jack took the opportunity to leave so the women could talk. Erica wiped her tears and mentioned that perhaps she shouldn't have come over. Carmen replied that maybe she shouldn't have been with Jack. Because she viewed Erica as a sister, Carmen admitted that her connection with Erica was more important than the possibility of what could be with Jack. She then offered that if Erica said the word, she wouldn't continue to date Jack.
She considered it, but ultimately Erica told Carmen that if she was interested in Jack, she should date him. She went on to laud the attorney and said that he meant what he said, so Carmen should be assured that he wanted to spend time with her. Jack returned to the room just then and indicated that he and Carmen would be going out to eat. Erica quickly noted that she had other engagements, but Carmen invited her to join them anyway. Erica declined and started to leave but Jack excused himself and met her at the door. Before she left, he thanked her for the nice things she said about him to Carmen and apologized for the harsh things he'd said to her the previous night at dinner.
Babe dragged JR into the bedroom at the Chandler mansion and revealed her new product idea - Bella, the newest Fusion perfume that would be more reasonably priced. She told him that once it hit the market, Fusion would explode, but JR instructed her to go back to the drawing board. He told her that she should not have her name linked to something low-priced, but she refused to consider a revamp of the name. She told him that there was already plenty of advertising that dictated the look, size, and smell that a woman needed to be worthy and she wanted to bring something to the market that would make women in Middle America feel just as special.
JR threw up the proverbial white flag and insisted that Babe had won him over. He told her to take Bella for a spin and suggested that she try it out on him. She spritzed herself on the neck and then leaned in so that her ex-husband could inhale the scent. He did so, and instantly approved. She was pleased with his initial response and that feeling grew as he broke down his impressions of the scent. She sat next to him on the bed and as he did, be continued to breathe in the scent until passion overwhelmed both of them.
Later, JR suggested that the Bella perfume might be the way to make Kendall and Greenlee take her seriously. Babe admitted that she would prefer to work her way up from within. He then joked that releasing the perfume to the public might be a bad idea because it would cause the rest of the world to fall into bed with their loved ones like they continued to do.
Adam met up with Pete and was pleased to find that the young man had created a chemical additive called Blast that was temporarily housed in a cow creamer dispenser. Pete promised that the chemical, when added to Fusion's newest fragrance, would tank the cosmetics company and blow Adam's mind. Before discussions could get underway, Opal entered the room and chastised her son for letting Adam in. Adam instantly told her that he was there to talk to Pete about the kiss he laid on Colby, but Opal refused to trust the mogul with her youngest. She tried to make a place for herself but Pete encouraged her to leave, and said that he needed to appear as though he were indeed a grown man. Opal decided to honor her son's wishes but, unknown to either man, added some "cream" to her coffee before she exited the room.
Pete asked for payment, but Adam reminded him that he didn't carry his daughter around in his pocket and that he could simply promise not to interfere. He noted that the onus was on Pete to get and keep Colby's interest and Pete said that he was willing to field that as long as he didn't have to deal with Adam's interference. Just then, Opal came back into the room and asked her son if he'd heard about a bug going around, as she'd suddenly started to feel itchy and ill to her stomach. He asked her what she'd eaten and she told him that she'd just had coffee, with some of the milk from the cow dispenser on the table.
Pete told his mother that she needed to sniff the milk before ingesting it as a way to explain her sudden onset of symptoms. He sent her off to take an oatmeal bath and after she'd left the room, told Adam that her stomach acids had done more to the chemical than it did to her. He then noted that they would have to test the chemical on something before they could add it to the perfume, but was interrupted as his mother shouted requests to him. He went to attend to her, and Adam poured the remainder of the chemical in a vial to take with him.
Annie awoke with a start from a nightmare where Greenlee swooped in and stole not only Ryan, but also Emma and the new one on the way. When she sat up, she called out for her husband, but when he didn't answer, she quickly scrambled out of bed.
Aidan found Ryan in the garage working on his motorcycle and, although Ryan cordially offered his friend a beer, Aidan made it clear that he wasn't in a friendly mood. He surprised Ryan with a right hook to the eye and when Ryan demanded to know what the punch was about, Aidan declared that Ryan's admission of love to Aidan's wife was out of line and that he was prepared to beat it out of him. As he laid more blows, Aidan told Ryan that he'd messed with Greenlee's head for months and it was apparent that he wanted her back. Knocked to the floor, Ryan groaned and said that he'd made a promise to his wife and that he intended to honor it, so there was no need for concern. As Aidan continued the pummel, Ryan's phone flew out of his pocket and caused him to miss the frantic call from his wife. He stood and yelled at Aidan that he was glad that Greenlee had found happiness with her new husband, but Aidan assumed that Ryan took him for a fool.
Up in the condo, Annie frantically tried to figure out how to find her husband, but when she went to get her coat before leaving, she was greeted with the vision of her brother. As always, he tortured her with the fact that her husband had left her alone and suggested that Ryan had gone off to be with his long-lost love, Greenlee. Annie tried to fight the panic that idea caused her, but when Richie continued to push her buttons, she threw her phone at him and damned him back to hell.
Annie lay down in bed as she endured her brother's suggestions that she needed to make sure she took care of the baby, since that was the only reason Ryan was still around. She protested, but he refused to stop and told her that as she chased him, she was pushing him closer to the edge. Although Richie thought that Ryan was close to leaving her for good, and would as soon as he found out that his wife was a liar and a killer, Annie insisted that somewhere deep inside, Ryan loved her and would stay.
Aidan repeatedly demanded that Ryan admit his feelings out loud, until Ryan finally broke and did just that. Aidan wasn't pleased at the admission and told Ryan that he couldn't have Greenlee back and tried to follow up with more displays of brute force, but Ryan finally got a punch in. He then insisted that he was well aware of Greenlee's love for Aidan, and was sure of it because of the way Greenlee looked at her groom. He told Aidan that Greenlee asked him to help her retrieve her ring in the airplane because she loved Aidan enough not to taint the memories they had made of their marriage. Aidan thought that Ryan had tried to talk Greenlee out of staying with him, but Ryan swore that he didn't and added that even if he had tried, he would have been unsuccessful. Aidan demanded that Ryan remember those words, and walked off.
Aidan and Ryan returned home at the same time and their respective wives expressed disbelief over the bruises they both had from the fight. As Greenlee tended to Aidan's wounds and promised that Ryan's feelings didn't affect her love for him, Annie extracted information about the fight from her husband. When he told her that Aidan was the one who assaulted him, she realized that her brother had been correct, and she only needed confirmation from Ryan. He tried to avoid admitting anything to her and said that the altercation arose out of a misunderstanding, but she wouldn't let it go. He finally admitted that when he got his memory back, he realized he was still in love with Greenlee. She heard the words that she expected but was still floored and asked if he would have really gone through with renewing their vows, even though they would have been a lie. Ryan told her that he would, and she shot back that his admission made her sick. She made a beeline to the closet and pulled out a suitcase. Ryan begged her not to go and said that they could go to a marriage counselor and make things work. Annie was not convinced and said that one of them had to leave. He voiced his concern that she would uproot Emma from her home, but she told him that she and Emma would find a way to deal on their own.
Erica went to the Valley Inn and sat alone at a table. She was soon joined by a more sinister version of herself, who pointed out the flaws of Erica Kane dining alone. Her evil self also mentioned that Erica should not let Jack and Carmen get away with what they had done to her. Then, an angelic version of herself came to balance out the malicious power and noted that Carmen had done everything right, and that Erica should be proud of herself for being so giving. Control over the struggle continued but eventually darkness won out, and Erica decided that both Jack and Carmen deserved to be taught a lesson. The darker half suggested that she invite Jack over for some legal reason, spray Enchantment perfume over the bed, and answer the door in the new negligee Jack hadn't seen yet.
The two influences then disappeared and Erica prepared to leave. Adam showed up at her table and blocked her path to the door. He warned her against going after Jack, as doing so would tarnish her dignity, and begging was beneath her. She insisted that she begged for no one, and the fire in her eyes led Adam to lay a surprise kiss on her. She admonished him when they parted and assured him the consequences would be dire should he think to do that again.
As Greenlee lay in bed with her husband and said that everything she had was because of him, Annie grabbed her daughter in the condo across town, took the suitcase she packed, and walked out on Ryan.
