Jesse visited Rebecca in the hospital. He admitted his feelings of guilt over leaving Rebecca and Natalia so he could return to Angie and Frankie. Rebecca reminded him that she'd let him go, so he should not feel guilty. He was grateful to her because she'd saved his life, and he wished that he could do more for her. She was grateful to him for giving her a daughter, Natalia.
Jesse said that Natalia was just like her mother, smart and strong. Rebecca noted that Natalia was also like her father, stubborn and impulsive. He laughed and recalled when he woke Natalia and Rebecca up early in the morning so they could see the sunrise together. Rebecca made Jesse promise to take care of their daughter after she was gone. Meanwhile, Jesse and Rebecca did not know that Angie was eavesdropping on their conversation.
Jake kissed Taylor and asked if she was all right over the display of affection. She smiled and said that she was fine, but she maintained that a kiss, no matter how enjoyable, could not erase her memories. She explained that whenever she felt happy, her memories of Iraq and Brot flooded her mind, and she felt sad again. Jake urged her to move on with her life, no matter how difficult it might be.
Jake proceeded to perform physical therapy on Taylor. She looked nervous, but she allowed him to work on her legs. He promised her that they would get through her troubles together. Then, Taylor's foot moved slightly. Jake touched her foot, and she realized that she was regaining feeling in her legs.
Frankie showed Tad a picture of Brot. Tad was shocked because the photo looked like the man that hired him to investigate Taylor. Frankie explained that Brot had been burned badly in Iraq. Frankie had tried to save Brot, but he'd died a week after he'd been burned. Tad insisted that Brot was still alive. Frankie assumed that Brot was having a hard time adjusting to the civilian lifestyle, especially due to his injuries. Tad wondered if he should tell Taylor that her fiancé was alive. Frankie urged Tad to say nothing until Frankie spoke with Brot.
Frankie went to see Brot. Brot was alarmed to see his old friend and told him to leave. Frankie asked why he was hiding, and Brot replied that his life was no longer the same after being burned. Frankie divulged that Taylor was not doing well. Frankie stated that Taylor wanted to go back to Iraq, so she could feel closer to Brot. Frankie worried that she wanted to return to war so she could be killed, like Brot supposedly had been. Brot looked concerned but refused to let Taylor know that he was alive. Frankie was disappointed and told Brot that he no longer knew him.
Tad asked Jake how Taylor was doing. Jake laughed and stated that she was stubborn, but he could not live without her. Jake asked Tad if he'd found out who had hired him to investigate Taylor. Tad pretended that he did not know.
Amanda regretted that she'd had sex with David. She quickly got dressed and stated that she was an "attention-seeking slut" because she slept with many men, like JR and Jamie. David did not care about her past lovers, but she did. She affirmed that she slept with men for the wrong reasons. He inquired why she'd had sex with him. She sheepishly explained that she had sex with him to thank him for reminding her that JR was a jerk. David said that he was happy that she'd slept with him, regardless of the reason. He wished that they could do it again another night. He leaned in to kiss her, but she backed away and rushed out of his house.
Krystal dreamed that David was naked in her bed. He told her that he had gotten rid of Tad and that she belonged to him. She woke up in a panic and grabbed her chest in pain. She drove herself to the hospital, and Angie ran preliminary tests on her. Krystal told Angie that a nightmare had triggered the pain in her chest.
David was paged to the hospital so he could look after Krystal. David read Krystal's EKG then listened to her heart. He explained that she had sufered a panic attack. He kindly urged her to stop worrying and assured her that everything would work out in her life. He suggested that she eat a good meal and go home. She was appreciative of his care.
Tad discovered that Krystal had been admitted into the hospital. He found David and inquired about Krystal's condition. David snidely commented that he had taken care of Krystal because her husband had been nowhere to be found. David then laughed and noted that all the women in Tad's life turned to David for help, instead of Tad. Tad looked very annoyed and punched David in the face.
Krystal went to BJ's with Angie to get dinner. Krystal could tell that her friend was upset. Angie ordered a stiff drink and admitted that she was having a hard time dealing with Jesse's previous life. Angie was tired of being noble. She wished that she could tell Jesse how angry she was with him, but she did not want to upset Natalia or Frankie. Angie then realized that Jesse was standing behind her and that he had heard her venting to Krystal.
Amanda entered BJ's and ordered a shot of liquor. The bartender tried to pick her up, but she denied him. Amanda noted that she was not trying to "get laid." Rather, she was trying to forget about the man that she'd recently had sex with.
Annie called Ryan. She frantically told him that she was on a beach, but she was not sure exactly where she was because her kidnapper had blindfolded her. When Ryan asked if she was with Emma, she hung up. Ryan told Aidan and Greenlee about his brief conversation with Annie. Aidan thought it was odd that Annie had not mentioned Emma at all. Greenlee agreed. Ryan hoped that she would be able to call again.
Soon, Annie called Ryan once more and revealed that she was near a lighthouse. So, Ryan, Aidan, and Greenlee looked on a map, and they found a lighthouse nearby. Ryan wanted to go on his own, but Aidan thought it would be better if he went because the kidnapper was not expecting him. Ryan was insistent on saving Emma himself, so Aidan knocked Ryan out with a beer bottle. Greenlee watched as Aidan tied Ryan up. Aidan urged Greenlee not to untie Ryan. She did not want Aidan to restrain Ryan against his will, but Aidan claimed that he was saving Ryan's life by doing so.
Ryan woke up and begged Greenlee to let him go. She explained that Aidan had tied him up to prevent him from walking into a trap at the lighthouse. Ryan asked her if she loved him, and she replied yes. He then asked her if she trusted him, and she replied yes again. He encouraged her to free him, and she did.
Annie was sipping champagne and taking a bubble bath. She called Di to check on Emma, and Di said that Emma was fine. Then, Aidan stopped to see Annie. They slyly smiled at each other as Annie handed him a glass of champagne.
Ryan agreed to let Greenlee tag along with him as he sought out Emma and Aidan. Ryan started thinking about all the events leading up to the kidnapping. He did not understand why the kidnapper would take Annie if he already had Emma. Also, Ryan thought it was strange Aidan had offered to help them after what had happened between them.
Two police officers approached Ryan and Greenlee. They claimed Ryan had started a fight with another guy at the bar. The bar owner, who happened to be one of the officers' brother, had filed charges against Ryan for damaging his business. The officers demanded that Ryan go to the station to settle the dispute. Greenlee claimed the other man who had fought Ryan had stolen his wallet and taken money from the cash register. As the officers looked around the restaurant, Greenlee and Ryan sneaked off.
Aidan kicked in the front door at a cabin and pointed a gun at Annie. Annie, who was sipping champagne, smiled and handed Aidan another glass of champagne. Aidan asked where Annie had Emma. Annie said Di was watching Emma but had no idea of the hoax she and Aidan had devised. Annie and Aidan toasted to getting their spouses back. To buy them a few extra minutes, Aidan said he'd knocked out Ryan before heading to Annie's.
Annie said she could not have pulled off the plan without Aidan's help. Annie had thought up the plan one day before the tornado had hit Pine Valley. Aidan had made all the telephone calls. He'd met Annie at the abandoned warehouse and shot her in the arm. Annie had figured Ryan would be so grateful she'd saved Emma, he wouldn't go through with the divorce. Naturally, Greenlee would run back to Aidan, she added.
Aidan never admitted he wanted Greenlee back. Annie assumed Aidan might take Greenlee back but would dump her like she'd quickly discarded him. Aidan punched Annie in the shoulder. He demanded she hit him back, but Annie was afraid. Aidan slapped her across the face. Angrily, Annie took a wooden stick and struck Aidan across the face.
Aidan and Annie heard Greenlee and Ryan pull into the driveway. Annie screamed at Aidan for ruining their chances of saving Emma as Ryan and Greenlee bolted through the door. Aidan said the kidnapper had attacked him and run. Ryan wondered why the kidnapper would keep Aidan and Annie alive. Annie told Ryan she did not want Greenlee and Aidan's help anymore.
Ryan followed Annie out while Greenlee was left to care for an injured Aidan. Annie told Ryan the kidnapper had mentioned a hotel in Pine Key on the telephone. Ryan said he needed to get more money to book another flight. Annie and Ryan got on a flight to Pine Key, but the ride got bumpy when the jet started leaking fuel. The pilot told Annie and Ryan they were going to have to make an emergency landing.
Taylor was thrilled when she was able to move her leg. She thanked Jake for believing in her. Jake asked Taylor to move her leg again, but nothing happened. Jake snickered that Taylor wasn't trying hard enough. Furious, she ranted and raved at Jake for being so rude. But as she spat out harsh words, her leg moved up and down. Jake finally got Taylor to be quiet so he could show her that she was moving her leg.
Amanda continued to drink her troubles away at BJ's. Ken, a bartender, told Amanda that all women wanted love. But Amanda disagreed. She just wanted to be in charge of the relationship. Frankie saw Amanda at the bar, even though he was supposed to be home. Amanda complained that men were constantly using her. Ken said she could change her life if she was so sick of how things kept turning out. Amanda thought maybe it was time for her to start using men to get what she wanted.
Randi found Frankie in the restaurant, ordering a beer to drown out his sorrows. Randi asked Frankie why he had missed work and hadn't gone home. Frankie said she would not understand. Randi reminded Frankie that she did not want to talk about her past life, but he'd made her open up. It was time Frankie did the same with her, Randi said. Frankie said he had gone to a veterans' hospital in Maryland. It reminded him of the soldiers he had not ben able to save in Iraq. Randi said Frankie was a good man no matter what he'd witnessed in Iraq. Frankie asked Randi for a dance as the restaurant closed.
Jesse and Angie went home to talk. Jesse apologized for not handling his return properly with Angie and Frankie. Angie said she was furious with Jesse for lying about his previous life. He hadn't needed to tell Angie the truth until Natalia and Rebecca had been in the hospital. Angie said it killed her to know that Jesse was the only person who could comfort Natalia and Rebecca. Jesse said he was not going to abandon Angie. But to Angie, she had already lost a piece of Jesse.
Jesse said he'd stayed with Rebecca to keep Angie and Frankie safe. Angie said Rebecca was more than a cover for Jesse. Jesse would not have had a child and stayed with Rebecca so long if he did not love her, Angie said. Jesse claimed he'd never loved Rebecca. Angie said if Rebecca had not pushed Jesse away, he would not have returned home. Jesse denied the accusation. He told Angie that she was the love of his life. Jesse reached for Angie's hand. She sat on the opposite side of the couch from him and reached back.
David said JR could not go on pretending forever that Little Adam was not David's grandson. David added that if JR was not going to get Little Adam proper health care, David should at least examine the youngster. JR refused to let David even touch Little Adam. David reminded JR that Little Adam was the only person related to Babe he had left.
David had gotten permission to build the wing he wanted, but JR was not thrilled with the idea of the wing being dedicated to Babe Haywood. David said he had no problem using Chandler as Babe's last name for the wing. JR took Little Adam to another doctor in the hospital. The doctor admitted Little Adam for observation to make sure he did not have a stomach infection.
Tad waited for Krystal to get home. When she arrived, Tad was upset Krystal had not let him know she had been discharged from the hospital. Also, Tad said Krystal should not have let David treat her at the hospital. Krystal said she'd been too worried about dying to be picky about a doctor. Tad apologized for overreacting.
Krystal said her panic attack had been caused from thinking about the effect Babe's death had had on David. She said David had lost too many years with Babe. Tad thought David was manipulating Krystal to get close to Little Adam. Tad said he did not want David to jeopardize their marriage. Krystal assured Tad she would not let David get between them.
Ken called David after Amanda passed out at the bar. Ken said he'd found David's number on Amanda's cell phone. David told Ken he would go there and get Amanda. David took Amanda to his home and let her sleep on the couch.
All the residents in Pine Valley were reading the newspaper. In the paper, the mayor announced that there would be a moment of silence to honor those that had died in the tornados.
David examined Opal in the hospital. He kindly told her that her heart was doing well and that she was healthy. She commented that if she did not know David, she might mistake him for a caring doctor. He claimed that he was a caring doctor, but Opal affirmed that he was a snake.
David returned home from the hospital and woke up Amanda. Amanda was extremely hung over and asked how she had gotten to Wildwind. He explained that she'd passed out at the bar, so he had taken her to his house. He then asked Amanda what she wanted out of life. She quipped that she wanted Jimmy Choo boots. He scolded her for being nonchalant and encouraged her to go after what she wanted.
Amanda wished that she could get back her five million dollars. David thought that was possible, but she disagreed. He told her to blackmail Adam and JR again. She reminded David that she did not have any dirt against them. David then proposed that he would pay Amanda the money if she took down JR. He wrote her a large check as a "signing bonus" and promised to pay her more each time she hurt JR. He stated that she would receive the full amount once she completely ruined JR's life. Amanda took the check from him and stared at it silently.
Pete and Colby told Joe that they'd found an elderly woman, Aggie, in the rubble of a collapsed building. Joe spoke with the woman as Pete, Colby, and Ruth looked on. Aggie was carrying a book that was titled All My Children. She stated that the book contained all of her "stories." As Joe informed Pete, Colby, and Ruth that Aggie seemed fine, Aggie disappeared.
JR took Little Adam home from the hospital. Krystal was glad that her grandson was home. JR asked Tad how Krystal was doing. Tad stated that Krystal was doing much better since JR had decided to stay in Pine Valley. Then, a piece of Babe's luggage from San Diego was delivered to the house. As Tad and Krystal somberly watched, JR opened the suitcase and took out a dress that he had bought Babe.
Pete and Colby rushed to Tad's house to ask him if he would help them find Aggie. Just then, Aggie appeared at the house. Aggie announced that she had once lived in the house and that she was there to visit Myrtle and Palmer. Everyone looked confused. Opal told everyone that Aggie had a special aura. Opal then googled Aggie on the computer and discovered that she had founded Pine Valley in 1870. Opal also learned that Aggie had written a bestselling book, All My Children. Then, everyone realized that Aggie had disappeared again.
JR went to visit Babe's grave. JR told his late wife how much he missed her. Amanda arrived at the grave. She said that she was very lonely since Babe had died and Jake had dumped her. She asked JR if she could stay with him during the town's moment of silence. They stood together to honor Babe.
Zach returned home from the hospital. Bianca inquired about Kendall and he explained that there was no change in her condition. Bianca consoled him. Reese entered the room with the kids. Zach told his sons that their mother needed her "beauty sleep" then he read them the story of Sleeping Beauty. Reese told Zach that she had visited his casino and surveyed the damage, which was extensive. Zach went to see the damage for himself.
Reese told Bianca that she could help rebuild Pine Valley, so she asked if they could stay longer. Bianca stated that she would like to settle down in Pine Valley. They both thought it was a good idea for Bianca to be with her family.
Zach walked into his office, which had been totally destroyed by the tornado. A firefighter told Zach to leave because it was not safe. Zach did not listen, so the firefighter persisted. Zach grabbed the firefighter's ax and began to chop the wall down.
Adam had Erica's belongings sent to his mansion. Erica went to the mansion after she discovered it and demanded that he return her property. He said that the yacht club was not structurally sound, so he wanted Erica to stay with him. She refused at first but eventually agreed to spend one night in the mansion.
Jack went to the Chandler mansion and confronted Adam. Jack figured out that Erica was getting close to Adam because she suspected him of tainting Bella. Adam denied it and claimed that he and Erica were romantically involved. Jack did not believe Adam, but then he saw Erica walk into the room in a bathrobe. Jack was shocked to see her, so she pulled him aside to speak with him privately.
Erica hugged Jack and expressed her happiness that he had not been injured in the tornados. He revealed to Erica that he'd figured out her plan for Adam. He was worried that she was getting too close to Adam. She assured him that she could handle Adam. She invited Jack to share the town's moment of silence with her family, and he accepted. She then told Adam that he should be with his family during the moment of silence.
Adam went to Tad's house to find Colby. Tad warmly welcomed Adam into his home so he could be with Colby during the moment of silence.
Frankie yelled at Jesse for lying to him. Frankie was not sure if he could forgive his father. Angie overheard and had a heart-to-heart talk with Frankie. She reminded Frankie that Jesse had endured a lot of pain while he had been on the run. She also reminded him that Rebecca had saved Jesse's life. Angie urged Frankie to help Rebecca and Natalia because, without them, Jesse never would have returned. Frankie then told Jesse that he forgave him, and Jesse was very grateful.
As Erica, Zach, Bianca, and Reese held hands and prayed during the moment of silence, Aggie watched them through a window. As Aggie smiled, she stated, "You are all my children."
Greenlee and Aidan waited to hear from Ryan. Ryan called and immediately asked Greenlee if he could talk to Aidan. Ryan said he believed Annie had planned the entire kidnapping. Ryan thought it was strange that Annie had made all the phone calls, had been shot without hitting major arteries, and had not wanted the police involved. To top it off, he was trapped on a desert island with her. Ryan said he thought Annie had planned the kidnapping so they would become close again. Aidan said that Ryan's theory might be right. Ryan asked Aidan to see if Emma was at the hotel Annie had mentioned.
After Aidan hung up, he told Greenlee that Ryan suspected Annie was behind the kidnapping. Greenlee said it was unlikely Annie would put her own child through such a traumatic experience. Aidan laid part of the blame on Ryan. He said Ryan had practically made Annie crazy by pushing them to be together and later, throwing her away like a used toy. Aidan went to the terrace and called Annie to warn her about Ryan's suspicions.
Greenlee heard Annie's phone ringing underneath the couch. She picked it up but did not say anything. Aidan said, "Annie, is that you?" Greenlee took the phone to Aidan to see why he'd called Annie. Aidan said he'd wanted to see if Annie would pick up, but Greenlee reminded Aidan that Ryan was handling Annie. Greenlee started to look through the previous calls for clues to Emma's whereabouts, but Aidan quickly snatched it away. Aidan said he needed to download the numbers before Greenlee accidentally deleted them.
Annie told Ryan the pilot was not sure if he could get the plane in the air again. Ryan hugged Annie as she worried about Emma's fate. Annie said she would not have survived the experience without Ryan. Ryan claimed he felt the same way about Annie and took her hand. Also, Ryan said Emma's kidnapping had made him realize how he had abandoned Annie. Annie said she'd made her fair share of mistakes, too. Ryan kissed Annie.
Colby apologized for being rude to Erica and left the Chandler mansion. Erica said she understood Colby's reaction. After all, Adam had moved her belongings into his home even though she'd only stayed with him one night. Erica said she needed to pack up her things and prepare for a Fusion press tour. Erica told Adam she did not love him. She joked that if Adam were the last man on earth, she'd become a nun. Erica agreed to have dinner with Adam. After Erica was gone, Adam told his chef to prepare the finest meal Erica had ever seen.
Colby told Pete that Erica had moved into her home. She said it was foolish for Erica and Adam to make such an important decision about something like living together so quickly. Colby swore that she was not going to rush into another relationship ever again. Pete grabbed her hand and said he felt the same way. She pulled away from Pete and left to begin her shift at the hospital.
Bianca was feeling ill, but would not let Reese care for her. After Reese left for a meeting, Bianca tended to one of the four children she had been left to watch until Rachael arrived. The phone rang before Bianca checked on the babies. Rachael explained that she was unable to watch the children, leaving Bianca to do it alone. Erica went to Kendall's house and found Bianca surrounded by the children. Erica called in two nannies to give Bianca some relief. Of course, Erica wished Reese was the one helping Bianca. Bianca assured her mother that Reese was not neglecting her but just busy with work.
Zach and Reese met to discuss work on a building project. While Reese took some measurements, she heard Zach talking to someone in his office. Zach spoke into a recorder. He talked about how big Ian and Spike were getting and how much he loved the person who would be eventually listening to the message.
Jake was pleased to see Taylor and another doctor working together to get her leg moving. Taylor clung to the doctor as he helped her off the bed. They walked down the hallway with Jake and ran into Frankie.
Frankie told Tad he had talked to Brot, but the meeting had not gone well. Frankie said Brot had left, and Frankie was not sure where he had gone. Frankie thought Brot was selfish for letting Taylor think he was dead. But then again, Frankie said he'd pushed his family away, too, after returning from Iraq. Frankie said Taylor might be better off thinking Brot had died but was not sure how he would keep such a big secret from her. Tad promised to follow Frankie's lead on the issue.
Brot sneaked into the hospital as Frankie and Jake helped Taylor wobble down the hall. He saw Taylor clinging tightly onto Jake so she did not fall. Frankie took Taylor back to her room. Taylor said she was dealing with Brot's loss easier since Jake had happened along. Jake had made Taylor realize she had wanted to go back to Iraq to die like Brot had. But thanks to Jake, Taylor knew she had a right to live a life without Brot. Brot got off the elevator but realized he was on the wrong floor. The elevator door closed before he could get back in. As Brot waited, his knees buckled, and he fell to the ground.
Pete went to the Chandler mansion to see Adam. Adam said the lawsuit had been dropped against Fusion, so Pete had nothing to worry about. Pete asked how Adam felt about Erica. Adam said Erica amused him. He knew she loved him but was scared to admit it. Pete went back to the hospital with a bouquet of roses for Colby. Pete used the telephone to announce he loved Colby over the intercom. Colby, unaware of Pete's actions, found Brot on the floor. She wanted to get a doctor, but Brot did not want help.
Erica went back to the mansion but told Adam she would not stay long. She had to get to an appointment. Adam asked Erica to cancel her appointment and still have dinner with him. He gave her a stunning diamond necklace. Adam and Erica shared a passionate kiss.
Bianca went to Zach's office, where she overheard Reese explaining the strained relationship with her parents. Reese said her family had not spoken to her since they'd found out she was gay.
While she eavesdropped outside Zach's office, Bianca overheard Reese tell Zach that her parents had disowned her when she'd come out as a lesbian. She then knocked at the door and pretended that she hadn't heard the conversation. Reese welcomed her warmly and asked Bianca if she wanted to see the plans she'd drawn up for Zach's office. Reese and Zach continued to talk over some details after she finished showing off her designs to Bianca. Bianca crossly interrupted their small talk and asked if they were done. Zach picked up on her need to be alone with her fiancée, so he grabbed his jacket and left in short order.
Once Zach had vacated the office, Bianca immediately confronted Reese with the truth about her parents. Reese tried to pretend that it wasn't a big deal, but Bianca made it clear that it was a big deal to her when she realized that Reese had lied about her relationship with her parents. Reese told her that she'd moved on long before and that it really wasn't important in her life anymore, as she had all the family she needed in Bianca and their daughters. Bianca retorted that if it hadn't been important, she wouldn't have told Zach.
Reese insisted that her revelation hadn't been intentional, but Bianca felt more of an explanation was needed. Reese told her that she didn't have the support and love that she should have had, the way Bianca had. Bianca reminded her that Erica hadn't always understood, but Reese told her that eventually, Erica had accepted her as she was. Reese then pointed out that her mother was a control freak, and for as long as she could remember, she had always done what her mother demanded of her. Bianca then asked what had changed that had allowed her to come out, and Reese broke down and explained that Bianca herself had been the catalyst. When they'd met and Reese had realized that she had fallen in love with the woman she was supposed to be with, she'd wanted to tell everyone -- and that included her parents.
Reese sat Bianca down and explained in depth what had happened when she'd flown home to tell her parents that she was gay. Bianca shared every ounce of pain as the story flowed out and felt tremendous guilt at how she'd lashed out. Reese admitted that when she'd talked to Zach, he had reminded her of her father, and that was the only reason she had told him the story. She tried to apologize, but Bianca wouldn't hear of it. Bianca then realized that Reese's parents didn't know that they shared a child. Reese sorrowfully acknowledged that fact but promised that she would one day introduce her father to her daughter.
Bianca and Reese made their way home and, intent on making the end of the day better than the rest, Reese made Bianca lie back, relax, and enjoy a foot massage. Bianca acted as though she didn't remember what it meant to relax, so Reese gave her a brief list of the ways she could indulge. Delighted at the prospects, Bianca realized that she wasn't tired anymore and proceeded to make love to the woman that held her heart.
Zach got home, and after he poured himself a drink, he sat at the piano and stared forlornly at a picture of Kendall holding Ian.
David arrived at the Fusion offices and greeted Amanda with a bottle of wine and two glasses. After she asked why he'd stopped to visit, he told her that they needed to put their plan for destroying JR in motion. Amanda wasn't quite sure what he meant, so David explained that he wanted her to use JR's weakness for alcohol as a way to reel him in: get plastered a few times and call on JR for help. After that, he would start to feel more useful and less guarded. Once JR was completely vulnerable, David told her, she could take him down, and the faster she did it, the faster she would get paid. The last part of his statement was all Amanda really needed to hear; she disregarded her glass of wine and began to drink straight from the bottle.
Colby managed to clear the debris off of Brot and insisted that he needed to see a doctor. He refused and told her that if she wanted to help, she needed to unlock a nearby door. Without a thought, she did as he asked. Once he got resettled on the floor, Colby continued to offer assistance, all of which Brot hotly rejected. Frightened at his sharp tone, Colby started to edge toward the door, and when he demanded that she leave him alone, she quickly scurried out the door and closed it behind her.
Jake seemed incredulous that Taylor thought she would run a marathon anytime soon, but when she challenged him to be on the start line with her, he couldn't resist and signed up. He then relented a bit and tried to encourage Taylor to remember that rehab couldn't be rushed. She told him that she fully intended to push herself until she was marathon-ready. Just then, the therapist entered the room and she loudly prodded him to work her out all the time.
Jake tried to rein Taylor in, but she told him to help or get out. He left temporarily but returned just as the therapist ended his session and Taylor started to complain that they had a lot more work to do. The therapist made it out of the room but only because Jake had started to tell Taylor about a new therapy that was available when she was ready. She asked him about it but didn't leave enough time for an answer as she insisted that they go there right away.
Pete fought to get away from a nurse long enough to proclaim his love for Colby over the loudspeaker. She grabbed the receiver from him and warned him that she would call security if he didn't stop fooling around. Pete told her that he wasn't guilty of her charge; rather, he was in love.
Ryan expressed his exasperation over the fact that he and Annie could not get to their daughter. She assured him that the pilot was doing all he could to get them in the air, and Ryan pointed out that Annie's belief in happy endings was one of the things that initially attracted him to her. He then switched tacks back to his frustration over the wait.
In order to distract Ryan, Annie tried to paint a picture of life after Emma's return, where the little girl would share her every day with both of her parents in order to feel safe and secure. Ryan agreed wholeheartedly and, when Annie said that she was glad that she had him to lean on throughout the ordeal, he insisted that they needed to be completely honest with each other. As a way to demonstrate, he told her that when he found out who was responsible, he would make them pay. Before she could respond, the pilot returned and told them the plane had been fixed, and they all dashed off to the plane.
Greenlee vented about Annie's level of insanity if Ryan's belief that she had masterminded the whole scheme turned out to be true. Aidan told her that the only thing that mattered was finding Emma. Greenlee pointed out that the charter didn't take off for hours, and Aidan replied that if they waited that long, Ryan might not ever see his daughter again.
Pete caught up to Colby as she charged down the hall, and he found out that she had missed his PA declaration. Frustrated, she hurriedly asked him what his announcement had been, so he told her that he loved her. Seemingly unfazed, she told him that she had to go and left him beaming in the hall. He noted aloud that he would not give up and called out his love to her one more time. A short time later, Colby charged back through, and after a near run-in with Jake and Taylor, she ran into her hopeful paramour who still wanted to know her reaction to his proclamation. Distracted, Colby told him that sick people needed her and that he needed to grow up.
After Amanda was sufficiently drunk, she managed to get JR to visit her at the office. Moments before he arrived, David gave her a pep talk about what she needed to say and do to reel the young mogul in. When he heard that the elevator had reached their floor, he rushed to his hiding place. JR bustled into the office, and Amanda spun a tale about how she thought she might be an alcoholic and said that she'd called him because he knew what it was like.
After JR ascertained how drunk Amanda really was, he offered to get her food and coffee. David managed to catch her eye and signaled that she couldn't let JR leave, so Amanda sputtered that she wasn't sure what she would do if left alone -- without Babe. JR admitted that he missed Babe all day, every day, and Amanda began to act as though she had made a mistake when she'd called him.
Amanda told JR to leave because everyone else did, but when he told her that he wouldn't, she leaned in and kissed him. JR pulled back immediately and stared at her with alarm. He blasted her for the action, and she apologized, to no avail. He told her that he didn't have time to play her flirtatious games. As she promised it wouldn't happen again, he demanded her car keys, took the remaining wine, and told her not to call him again.
With JR gone, David blazed out into the open and berated Amanda for her botched attempt at carrying out the plan. She apologized repeatedly and said that she would try again when JR returned her keys. David didn't think it was good enough, and told her their deal was off. Meanwhile, in the elevator, JR contemplated the bottle of wine he held and went so far as to tip it up toward his lips. After a moment, he realized how wrong that choice would be, threw the bottle against the wall, and exited the building.
Colby returned to the room in the basement but promptly dropped the flashlight she held when she got a look at Brot's face. He thanked her for the insight into how others would react to him, and she apologized and said that she had just been caught off guard. She then told him that she'd gotten a first aid kit and offered to patch him up. He thanked her but said that when she was done and needed to leave. She left, but a short time later, she returned and asked if there was anyone she could call or anywhere she could take him, but he refused all of her help.
Jake and Taylor arrived at their destination, and Taylor was surprised to see a candlelit dinner for two. Jake explained that while the food was all the body needed to fuel the legs, the real therapy was his request that she dance with him. He turned on the music and told her that she was not allowed to say that she couldn't.
When they arrived at the hotel, Annie was able to lead Ryan to the room she believed held their daughter. He casually questioned why she hadn't mentioned the room number before, but Annie blew it off and said it didn't matter. Ryan made her stand back so that she could avoid further harm and kicked the door in. As he rushed around the interior, hoping to find their little girl, Annie stood near the doorway as a smirk crept across her face.
After Ryan turned up empty-handed, Ryan raged about how the kidnapper had jerked them around. Annie assured him that it had to be the place, as there was no other reason the kidnapper would have whispered the details. She then asked him if he'd slept recently, and when he told her that he wouldn't until he had their daughter back in his arms, she warned him that he wouldn't be able to reciprocate if he was running on fumes. He finally agreed and laid down to rest.
After she was sure he was asleep, Annie sneaked out of the room. As soon as the door clicked shut, Ryan's eyes snapped open. He made a beeline out the door, but his escape was cut short when he ran into Greenlee and Aidan in the hall. Ryan briefed them on what had happened, and the guys initially planned to have Greenlee wait in the room while they split up to track Annie down. Greenlee refused and insisted that she would accompany Ryan.
Annie rushed up two floors and knocked at the door to room 506, where Di was keeping her daughter. Di called out and told her to enter, so Annie rushed in and attempted to reunite with Emma. She was shocked when she realized that he daughter wasn't in the room. Di showed her face and said that Emma couldn't make it. When Annie demanded to see her daughter, Di revealed that she had uncovered Annie's plan via stories on the Internet and said that when all was said and done, Annie would need someone to blame. Annie continued to act as though she didn't know what Di meant, but Di told her that she refused to go to prison for the game that Annie insisted on playing and pointed a gun at her old friend
Ryan, Greenlee, and Aidan reconvened a short time later, and although Ryan and Greenlee hadn't found anything, Aidan reported that an American woman had checked into room 506 an hour before. Ryan said that he'd been with Annie at that time, and Greenlee wondered aloud who else could match that descriptor.
Reese wandered into an empty living room as tears rolled down her face. Zach found her, and when he asked if she was okay, she admitted that she missed her dad. He offered to hug her, but she knew the only hug she wanted was her father's and walked away.
Annie feared for her daughter's safety when Di detailed how she felt things would go. Annie demanded Emma's safe return, but Di said Annie needed to be more generous, as Di was the only one that knew Emma's location. Annie decided to take matters into her own hands and struggled for control of the gun. Just as Ryan, Aidan, and Greenlee arrived outside the door, the gun went off.
