It's a few weeks later than initially anticipated, but Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) is finally back at work on General Hospital.
Hughes, who took a long summer vacation and last aired at the beginning of July, was originally slated to make her on-screen return in late August. However, the Emmy-winning actress extended her vacation by a few weeks.
This isn't the first time Hughes has taken an extended break from GH. She left for a significant period of time in 2015 to film the movie The Byrd and the Bees, which ultimately was never released due to financial issues.
A rep for General Hospital confirms that Hughes returned to the set on September 12. She'll make her on-screen return on Wednesday, September 28.
