At Dorian's celebrating her expected prison reprieve, Blair is stunned when Todd arrives with an eviction notice and news that he now has control over Starr's assets, and intends to seek custody as well. After she and Kelly have left, Todd finds a copy of her wedding vows, but burns it. Later, at her doctor's, Blair is told that she's barely through her first trimester, not nearly as far along as she's thought. She then realizes that she could not be carrying Max's child.
Melanie confesses that she killed Colin because he knew she had given her dying father a lethal drug overdose. Bo tries to defend her, but Lindsay is shocked and angry, and accuses her of killing their father for his money.
Max is stunned at sight of Gabrielle, and more so at news that she is the new Mrs. Asa Buchanan. He accuses her of marrying Asa to get at him, and Gabrielle reminds him of his inattention to her and Al. When Al arrives, Max is excited until the young man shuns him in favor of Asa.
Asa takes pleasure in humiliating and rejecting Alex after marrying Gabrielle, and she vows to make him pay for the betrayal.
In the Palace ballroom, Max was floored when Asa announced he had adopted Al and that Al himself signed the adoption papers. Alone, Al told Max that he did not feel Max had been a father to him. Al tore into Max for not helping him and Gabrielle after she got out of prison. Max stopped Al as he started to leave Max to join his mother and "father." Max apologized to Al and said he cared about him. Meanwhile, before Nigel could tip off Renee to the identity of Asa's new bride, Asa and Gabrielle returned home to the mansion. After Renee left in disgust, Gabrielle and Asa celebrated their triumph over Max.
Blair and Kelly were shocked that Todd turned out to be the father of Blair's baby. Blair wanted to tell Todd the truth about the baby, but Kelly advised her against that, arguing that they needed Max to testify on Blair's behalf. At Dorian's house, Andrew walked in as Todd informed his lawyer that he wanted full custody of Starr. Andrew failed to persuade Todd not to take Starr away from Blair. Soon after, Blair arrived to tell Todd about her pregnancy but decided against sharing her good news with him after Todd said he was filing for sole custody of Starr. Later, Blair went Asa's mansion and Gabrielle opened the door to her.
Jean and Gina prepared for Jean's meeting with Ben. Gina warned Jean that she would kill Viki and Ben if Jean did not convince Ben that Viki wanted a divorce. In the foyer, Ben demanded Gina explain why Gina asked Jessica about Viki's DID. Gina lied that she was just trying to help because she was worried Viki had left Ben because she had a relapse. An angry Ben then left for Crossroads. Later, as Gina's thug Richie kept watch at the bar, Jean entered Crossroads and locked eyes with Ben.
As Kelly tries to reach Blair by phone, Todd shows up to see her because he knows she's lying about something, possibly the pregnancy. Kelly assures him that Blair is really pregnant and that Max even saw the results. Todd knows there's a secret but Kelly insists there isn't and tosses him out even though he wants to wait for Blair. She wonders if Todd will stop hurting Blair after she loses the baby and everything else. After she tells him she doesn't even know where Blair is, he manages to take her phone on his way out the door.
Max tries to apologize to Al for not claiming him back all of these years and states that he and Gabrielle are very much alike; they always go after the prize and hurt people at the same time. Al disagrees with that and the fact that Asa is just trying to get back at Max. He's proud to be Asa's son and and not Max's.
Blair shows up at the Buchanan residence with her suitcase and assumes that Gabrielle is the new maid when she answers the door. They both identify themselves as a mother of Max's child and Blair realizes she's seeing Gabrielle. The new Mrs. Buchanan at first thinks it's a long dead Luna but then figures it's Blair and offers to introduce her parole officer to her. Blair is shocked of course to learn that Gabby is now married to Asa and is surprised to see her grown former stepson. Max arrives as does Asa who offers to throw Blair out but Max wants her to stay there. The two men exchange words over Asa's adoption of Al. Later, Blair tells Max that Todd has had her evicted and she has nowhere to go. Upstairs, Al complains to his mother about the presence of both Max and Blair and she agrees but they both admit how much they like Asa and how happy they are in the house with their dreams coming true. Al presents his mom with a gift-a long lost bell that he had given her years ago when she was ill. Asa promises to take care of Blair and Max. Downstairs, Blair commiserates with Max over Asa's adoption of Al; she herself would never use a baby to hurt him. Just then she doubles over as if in pain but tells Max the baby just moved. He's not able to feel it. She asks if she can count on him in court tomorrow and he promises she can. She gleefully calls Kelly to give her the news and to tell her she'll be free but Todd answers the confiscated phone and tells her not to count on it. Max goes to Asa's room to speak with him but the door is answered by a scantily clad Gabrielle. Asa reminds him that it's their wedding night.
Jess wonders what's up with Melanie but Will doesn't know anything and he can't believe she killed anyone. Jess left a message for Viki and she's worried about her and Ben as Viki seems to be pushing Ben away. She also thinks that maybe Will is falling out of love with her because he's been actiing differently towards her recently. He denies this and assures her that they are nothing like Ben and Viki. Later in bed, Will tells a sleeping Jess that he loves her no matter what. He takes something out of a pocket and looks at it before he hides it behind a picture frame-it's Colin's passport!
Ben is ecstatic to see "Viki" (Jean) at Crossroads since he's eager to work out their problems. Gina listens in to the conversation via a wired Jean. "Viki" tells him they can't work it out as she can no longer live with fear in the life that he's used to. He offers to change their life but she knows it's a part of him and she's just realized that she can live without him anyhow. She's only looking out for her family, she tells him. He emphatically states that he will not let her go but she tells him he doesn't have a choice. He believes she's lied about everything lately while she says that someone is forcing her to say these things. Gina immediately calls for her associate to get "Viki" out but then overhears her say that Ben is the one forcing her. Ben thinks it's Gina that's behind the whole thing and he won't accept anything that "Viki" is saying. She suggests that maybe he'd like to be with Gina since they're more alike and she will give him time to move out of their house but he refuses, loudly. Gina calls Richie the associate, again, and orders him to start a commotion so that "Viki" can escape. Once back at the house, Gina applauds Jean for her performance and notes that she should be with Ben soon. Ben realizes it wasn't Viki he was having a conversation with.
Jen and Will welcome their father home. Melanie spends a night in jail after confessing to murder. In the morning, Hank urges Bo to charge his fiancée but the commissioner balks at making it official. Starr happily jumps to the wrong conclusion when Todd brings her back to the penthouse to stay. Gabrielle enjoys tormenting Max by parading around the mansion in a skimpy negligee. Although pleasantly surprised to see Al again, Jessica is astonished to hear that he's become a Buchanan. Hank reluctantly agrees to give Bo a bit more time to pursue other leads. Meanwhile, Lindsay informs a startled Nora that her sister has admitted to killing Colin. Max accuses Gabrielle of turning his own son against him. Todd explains to a petulant Starr why her mother isn't moving in. Al's first glimpse of Jen leaves him smitten.
Serenity Springs
The Brat Pack (Jessie, Jen, Will, Cris and, now, Al Holden-Buchanan) have assembled at Serenity Springs. Will, Jen and Cris are in the hot tub relaxing when Jen says she just can't relax and gets out of the water just as Jessie and Al walk in together. Al is gaping at Jen like he was at the Break Bar and Jessie, apparently having just sharpened her claws, again out and out lies and tells Al that as far as she knows, Jen isn't seeing anyone and encourages him to ask Jen out. (Maybe there is hope for Jessie yet!) Cris sees Al and Jen talking and obviously doesn't like it.
Buchanan Mansion
Max asks Asa if he is going to give up on the adoption of Al or go to prison until he dies. Max tells Gabrielle she is not up to speed on all that Asa has been up to and tells Asa he should tell his new bride how he tried to kill his son.
Llanview Courthouse
Lindsay catches Hank Gannon in the hallway as he is making his way to Blair's hearing. She, for the second time, tells Hank that she is more than willing to testify in Lanie's trial and reminds him that if he does not keep the pressure on, Bo will let his fiancée get away with murder.
Llanview Jail
Hidden from view, Sam listens as Bo is telling Lanie that he doesn't believe that she killed Colin. He reminds her that she did not take Colin's pulse, she did not move his body to the woods and bury it and she did not put it in a crate and take it to R. J.'s warehouse.
Todd's Penthouse
Starr continues to talk about how happy she is that Todd and Blair decided to give her a baby brother and Blair tries to get her to go upstairs so she can talk to Todd. She finally asks Todd to tell Starr to go upstairs, but he says that Starr has to know the truth sooner or later. Todd starts to tell Starr that the baby Blair is carrying really belongs to Max, but Blair interrupts him and says that Max has nothing to do with "Mommy and Daddy's baby."
Buchanan Mansion
Gabrielle tells Max that she is aware of what went on between Asa and his son, Ben. Asa tells Max that he will be going to jail along with him and that to Bo, he is blood while Max means nothing. Gabrielle asks Asa to leave she and Max alone for a few minutes and she reminds Max that Al had made it perfectly clear that he wanted nothing to do with him.
Serenity Springs
Al asks Jen to go out with him, but Cris tells him that he and Jen have plans. Al apologizes to Cris for butting in, then goes to tell Will and Jess goodbye. He angrily whispers to Jess thanking her for not mentioning the "Cristian factor" and walks away.
Llanview Jail
While Sam still listens in on their conversation, Melanie continues to insist that she is convinced she is the one who killed Colin, but Bo believes it is more likely whoever moved and hid Colin's body. A guard startles Sam, who then says he is there to see his client, Dr. McIver. Sam asks Bo if he is going to be charging Melanie. Bo explains that he is only holding her for questioning and Melanie asks Sam not to interfere. After Bo leaves, Melanie tells Sam that she had to confess because the guilt was eating her alive. Sam tells her that Colin knowing and tormenting her with the knowledge that she killed her father gives her a motive for murder. He tells her to try not to worry and that he and the kids are behind her. Melanie says she doesn't think she has a sister anymore and that Lindsay won't rest until she sees Melanie punished.
Llanview Courthouse
Apparently having left her justice scales at home, Lindsay continues to lecture Hank that even though Lanie is a confessed murderer, Bo will never allow her to be charged. Bo walks up and tells Lindsay that if she has something to say, she should say it to his face.
Buchanan Mansion
Max and Gabrielle get into a physical argument about Al and Al pulls Max off Gabrielle and tells him to keep his hands off his mother.
Todd's Penthouse
Starr says there is only two things she has ever really wanted, a baby brother and a python. (Is this kid for real?). After Starr goes upstairs (to play with her piranha, no doubt), Todd applauds Blair's performance. Blair tells him it was not performance and that she told Starr the truth.
Serenity Springs
With a knowing smirk on her face, Jen asks Cris if she forgot something. Cris asks her to go to the park for a concert with local bands performing. Cris says that Al asked her out first and apologizes for butting in. Jen asks him if it would bother him if she went out with someone else. At first Cris says it wouldn't, but immediately admits that it would. Jen accepts and she and Cris leave so that Jen can go see Aunt Lanie before they go out. Will continues to pressure Jessie to tell him what Al meant about the "Cristian connection". Jessie tries to act as if she doesn't know what Will means, so Will asks if she told Al to ask Jen out and she says that she was trying to help Al out and asks what the big deal was. Will asks if she was trying to help Al or to hurt Cristian. (Busted!)
Buchanan Mansion
Al tells Max not to ever put his hands on his mother again. After Gabrielle breaks Al and Max up, she tries to get Al to go downstairs with her to find Asa, but he refuses. When she leaves, Max tries to talk to Al, but Al says Asa is his father. Max then says he wants to tell Al what Asa does to his kids. Gabrielle goes downstairs and tells Asa that she does not want to see Al hurt, but Asa tells her Al is tough, like his mamma. He gloats over the fact that he has Max on the ropes and says he wishes he could figure a way to take Blair's baby away from him.
Todd's Penthouse
Blair says she told Starr about "Mommy and Daddy's baby" in order to spare her feelings, but as far as Todd's feelings go, he could go to hell and she walks out.
Llanview Courthouse
Lindsay tells Bo to his face that he is trying to help his fiancée get away with murder. Bo responds that if she ever charges him of illegal conduct again, she will be in a lot of trouble. They banter back and forth with Bo telling Lindsay that there are still a lot of questions surrounding Colin's murder.
Blair and Kelly walk into the courtroom for Blair's hearing. Kelly taunts Hank about having to drop the charges against Blair. Blair admits to Kelly that she told Todd the truth about their baby, but since Todd had been so mean to her, she didn't care if he went on thinking it was Max's baby for the rest of his miserable life.
Todd's Penthouse
Todd tells Starr that he is going to Blair's hearing and that by the time he is finished, her mother and her baby will get exactly what they deserve.
Llanview Jail
Sam reminds Lanie to write down everything she remembers about that night, then leaves to go represent Blair. Apparently there are no regulated visiting hours in Llanview Jail, because Sam no more than leaves than Jen shows up to visit Aunt Lanie. Melanie tells Jen the story of what happened, including the fact that she never checked to see if Colin was alive or dead and that someone else moved his body. Jen gasps and Melanie asks her what is wrong.
Buchanan Mansion
Max tries to tell Al about Asa hiring someone to kill Ben, but Al will not listen. Al tells Max that he does not care about him or his mother and never has. Max tells him he does care and he is going to prove it and goes in search of Asa. Gabrielle has come back into the room and, after Max leaves, tells Al that she and Asa have a plan and that Al should not let Max get to him. Just as Al walks out of the room, Blair calls and Gabrielle answers the phone. Blair asks for Max, but Gabrielle tells her she has no idea where Max is.
Llanview Courthouse
Bo tells Lindsay that Sam is representing Lanie, but Lindsay refuses to believe it. Sam walks into the courtroom and asks Blair where Max is. Todd walks into the courtroom.
Buchanan Mansion
Max walks down to the wine cellar to find Asa and someone locks him in.
Serenity Springs
Will accuses Jessie of being jealous of Cris and Jen, to which she protests innocence (methinks she protests too much).
Llanview Courthouse
Bo runs into Cris at the courthouse and asks him to keep his ears open around R. J. to see if he says anything about the crate with Colin's body in it and lets Cris know that he does not believe Lanie killed Colin.
Llanview Jail
Jen says that what Melanie said about not moving the body can't be true. Melanie begs Jen to tell her what she knows, but Jen leaves. On her way out, she runs into Lindsay, who immediately recognizes that Jen is very upset. She asks what "that murderer" said to Jen and Jen retaliates by telling Lindsay that Lanie did not kill Colin and that Lindsay knows it.
