At Ford's, Jess asked Ford if they'd had sex, and refused to leave until he told her the truth. Jess mentioned Ford's hepatitis C test, and Ford demanded to know how she'd found out. "You just told me," she said. Jess knew he would have gotten tested if they had sex and asked him the question again. He finally admitted that they did, and asked if she was going to tell Brody. Jess wondered why he'd lied. Ford admitted that he didn't want Brody to kill him, and that he thought Jess would cry rape. He already had "some dude" bash his head in; he didn't need Brody after him as well. "Dude? I thought it was Hannah O'Connor," Jess said.
Ford claimed it was a slip of the tongue and went back to the subject. Jess couldn't believe that she'd let Ford touch her, and asked if they had used a condom. Ford confessed that he thought Jess had birth control covered and apologized, saying that it was over. Jess proved him wrong, informing him that she was pregnant. Jess said that she believed the baby was Brody's. She instructed Ford to forget that she had been at his apartment, and that they had ever slept together. He agreed and she left.
Todd and Dani sat at a table in Rodi's and Dani asked if it was Todd and Téa's place. Todd told her they didn't really have a place, so Dani said Rodi's could be her place with her father. It was good because there would be "no reminders" of her mother. Just then, a man walked up, and Todd asked if he had found Téa. The man admitted that he had lost them, and that they were probably pros. Todd was surprised to learn that there was someone helping his wife. Todd fired the man on the spot and reasoned that Téa must have known that Todd would hire someone to follow her.
"You don't trust each other?" Dani wondered. Todd countered by informing his daughter that they trusted each other to not give up on each other. The two knew they needed a new plan. Putting money on the table, Todd told Dani he had something to show her, and they left. Todd spread a blanket on the roof and Dani wondered if they were having a picnic. He explained that they were going to watch the meteor shower. They lay down on the blanket and watched. Dani grabbed her father's hand as she said, "Goodnight, mom."
At St. Kitts hospice, Greg made sure that Téa was all right. She was, but she wanted to verify with Shaun that Todd couldn't track her down. Shaun assured her he wouldn't let her down. Téa thanked him for his help. Shaun knew it was none of his business, but if he were in Téa's situation, he'd want his family next to him. Greg thought she was doing the brave thing, and said he would be there to help her. Greg left as Shaun helped her get settled, and Téa looked at a picture of Todd and Dani.
Shaun couldn't believe that his brother was going along with what Téa wanted, but admitted that his brother also wasn't very good at being a family man. Shaun gave Téa his card and told her to call if she needed anything, or if she changed her mind and wanted Todd and Dani there. Greg entered and told Shaun his taxi was there. Téa told Shaun that she hoped Destiny and Dani would be friends for a long time, so she knew that Shaun would always watch over Dani. Shaun promised to anyway. Shaun hugged Téa and left with Greg. Later, Greg informed Téa that Shaun had safely made his flight and told her to let her know if she needed anything else. She thanked him, closed the door, and went outside to watch the meteor shower.
At La Boulaie, Blair sat down and opened the book about Dani that Téa had written out for her. Eli walked in, and she put it down, noticing that something was wrong with her fiancé. She asked what was wrong, and he answered, "John McBain." He explained how Hannah had tried to kill herself and that he went to St. Anne's, wanting to talk to her, but John wouldn't let him. John had then proceeded to question Eli like he was a criminal. Blair confessed that she knew why John was all over Eli.
Blair explained that Kelly and John believed that John was involved in Melinda's murder. Eli wondered if that was the reason why he and Blair hadn't eloped. Blair admitted that there were more reasons than just that. Eli asked Blair if she believed Kelly, but Blair wanted to know if Eli was concerned about John. Eli wasn't, but still wanted an answer to his question. Blair knew it was impossible that Eli had anything to do with Melinda's murder. She informed him that there was no evidence, anyway, to Eli's relief.
Eli told Blair that he had nothing to hide as he opened his briefcase with Téa's will on top. Eli took his passport and I.D.s out of his briefcase, explaining that he wanted Blair to hire a private investigator to check him out. Blair didn't want to because she trusted his word, even though people close to her were telling her not to. As Blair looked in Eli's briefcase, his phone rang. It was Greg. Eli asked him if Téa was there, and Greg assured him that she was all settled in. Eli was satisfied to know that everything was going according to plan.
On the phone with Dorian at Rodi's, Clint reminded her that he wanted the stadium named after him because he was sick of pretending to be with her. Dorian promised he would get what she promised. Also at Rodi's, David was on the phone with Mandy. She wanted her money as soon as possible.
Mandy hung up and rang the doorbell at La Boulaie. Dorian answered and said she knew Mandy was pretending to be in love with David. As Mandy eyed Dorian's jewelry, Dorian said David couldn't afford Mandy, who accused Dorian of being jealous. Later, Dorian held out a stack of bills and a tape recorder as Mandy wore Dorian's jewels. Dorian reminded Mandy to enunciate.
At Rodi's, David ordered Clint to admit that he wasn't in love with Dorian because he would tell Clint what had happened to Kim. Clint accused David of being jealous, but wanted to know what David did to Kim anyway. David made Clint promise not to kill him because Bo would arrest Clint. David explained that he was protecting the family name and fortune, and that everything was on the flash drive in his hand. As Clint asked where Kim was, David told him to figure it out and held a tape recorder in front of Clint's face.
Later, Clint left after telling David not to leave town because Clint would probably have questions. Dorian entered and smugly played the tape of Mandy saying, "David Vickers hired me to pretend we were in love, only he's cheap and doesn't pay." David played his tape of Clint saying, "Dorian promised to help me get the new stadium named after the Buchanans if I pretended to be in love with her." As the two declared their hate for each other, they got closer and shared a kiss.
John didn't think that Hannah had tried to kill herself and asked if she'd had a visitor. Hannah lied that she didn't remember much. John wanted to help her and asked her to start from the beginning. Hannah wondered why John didn't want her dead for what she'd done to Marty, but John wanted to know what else Eli had told her. Hannah wanted him to leave her alone, but he kept asking questions. She finally said that it wasn't her that Eli was threatening.
Hannah admitted that Eli had threatened to kill Cole if she talked. She explained how Eli had held a gun to her and forced her to take the pills. He would have killed Cole if she hadn't. Hannah also divulged that she had seen Eli push Marty down the stairs, but she was the only one who'd seen it. John clarified that Hannah never thought it was Todd. Hannah said that she only said it was Todd because she knew it would break Starr and Cole up.
John promised her that she had given him good information and that nothing would happen to Cole. Hannah knew her word wouldn't mean anything against Eli's, since she was the only one that had seen him push Marty, that heard Eli threaten Cole, and that heard him tell her to take the pills. She knew no one would believe her, but John said he believed her. John wouldn't tell anyone he had been there and informed Hannah that there was someone else he could ask for the truth.
Natalie walked into the living room of Llanfair to find Brody looking at the things from when Jess was pregnant with Bree. She asked if he was making plans for the baby. Brody asked if she was making plans for "our" baby as Viki walked in. Viki congratulated Brody on the baby and the engagement and assured him that she approved. She warned him that she wanted a house full of grandchildren and thanked him for not giving up on Jess. As Brody explained that he and Jess wanted a simple wedding, Viki noticed that Natalie looked pale. Natalie told her mother she was pregnant too. Brody looked sick as Viki gushed to Natalie about how happy she was.
Jess entered and told Brody she was done at work. Noticing there was a celebration, Jess offered Natalie some champagne, but Natalie admitted to her sister that she was pregnant and had found out the same day Jess did. Jess wondered why Natalie hadn't told her. Natalie said that she thought Jess and Brody deserved the spotlight, but Jess told her sister that the spotlight was big enough for the two of them.
Clint entered, and Brody asked for his blessing to propose to Jess. Clint gave it to him, and Brody was happy because he had already proposed. Clint congratulated them, but Jess informed her father that congratulations were in order for Natalie too. Natalie told her father she was pregnant. "It's John's, I assume?" joked Clint. Natalie assured him it was. Clint got up to make a toast to his big -- "and getting bigger" -- happy family.
David and Dorian kissed passionately outside of Rodi's. They both agreed there was no point in denying "it," but neither of them wanted to be the one to admit the truth first. "You never got over me," each of them told the other. After several minutes of bickering, they settled on a plan to speak up on the count of three. When neither said a thing because they each knew the other wouldn't follow through, they tried again. Finally, "I love you," was uttered in unison. They admitted to being too proud and too scared to arrive at their conclusion in the past, and they wondered where they might make love.
At St. Anne's, John and Hannah concurred that they hadn't seen each other, and their conversation didn't exist. John thought that Ford might be able to tell him the truth about Eli, and he suspected that Ford might even name Eli in the criminal acts. Hannah knew that Ford could indeed do that, but he wouldn't. She knew she had been the likely suspect, but she would not have committed such violent acts. She told John that she had asked Ford for help, but he had refused. John thought that Ford was probably scared, but Hannah divulged that Ford had an insurance policy.
She explained that he had written a letter that would be sent to the press if anything happened to him. The letter exposed Eli's actions, and Ford had told her to do the same thing. John called Ford an idiot and exclaimed that Ford and Hannah should have gone to the police. Eli had caught her with her own letter, Hannah continued, and he'd made her swallow the pills.
Suddenly, she gasped. She realized that Eli had already had the pills with him when he visited her, so he had obviously planned for her to swallow them all along. She was worried about Cole, she told John. The detective advised her that Cole had been taken care of and nothing would happen to him. John promised to "nail" Eli, and he wanted Hannah to let Eli think she was playing along with him. He would have undercover cops keep an eye on Hannah around the clock. Hannah admitted she had obstructed justice when she lied, but John wanted to talk about that at a later time. Hannah noted that Eli could have been in jail already if it weren't for her, and she was sorry. John only wanted Eli to pay.
Ford checked the Internet for the possibility of a woman getting pregnant after having sex only one time. Frustrated, he jumped up and blasted music throughout his apartment. James emerged sleepily from his bedroom. He was annoyed about the music waking him up. He accused Ford of being angry because James had asked Langston out on a date, and Ford admitted that he thought Langston was just trying to get back at Ford. James was under the impression that Ford didn't care about Langston, and he wanted the truth from his brother. Ford thought that James was just angry because he couldn't have Starr and was trying to make her jealous by going out on a date with Langston.
The brothers began to argue. James pointed out that Ford had spoken about how much fun Langston was, and he figured he would just grab onto something he wanted like his brother did. Ford accused James of sounding like their father, but James noted that he sounded just like Ford.
Ford wanted James to call the date off, but James was tired of Ford ordering him around. He threatened to move out, and Ford thought that was fine. James announced that he would move in with his mother and brother, but that didn't sit well with Ford, and he stopped James. Ford stated that the others were family in name only, and he was only trying to protect his brother from Langston. She'd cheated on her live-in boyfriend with Ford, he raged. He offered his hand to James. "Bros before hoes," he said.
James declared that he was able to take care of himself. Ford slammed around and suddenly turned to James in a huff. He noted that Langston had been through a lot, and he didn't want James to take advantage of her. He threatened to bury James if his brother didn't abide by that. James maintained that he wouldn't do anything that Ford himself wouldn't do.
As Dani and Todd watched a meteor shower from the rooftop, Todd mentioned that all of the shooting stars were merely dying out before their eyes. Unfortunately, his unintentional description carried the pair back to thoughts of Téa. "Thanks," Dani told her father. She described the event was brilliant and amazing just like her mother, and Todd set the date in her phone calendar. He wanted to mark the event with his daughter every year.
Téa lay awake in the St. Kitts hospice. She watched the same meteor shower as Todd and Dani. She remarked that time had passed too quickly. Out in the hallway, Greg spoke to Eli on the phone and assured him that Shaun would not disclose Téa's whereabouts to anyone. Greg noted that the hospice care was the best thing for everyone involved, and Eli advised him to remain there until the end. Greg wasn't happy with the situation, but Eli reminded him that it was what Téa wanted. Greg wanted to know why it had been so important to separate Téa from her family, but just then Téa wandered into the hallway to advise Greg that she had experienced some blurry vision.
Hastily, Greg urged her to get back into bed. He assured Eli that she hadn't heard anything. "You need to be more careful," Eli admonished Greg. The doctor went to Téa's room and began to examine her. Téa remarked on the meteor shower she had watched, and Greg noted that it really consisted of debris. They joked about Greg's ability to ruin what might possibly be the last event that Téa witnessed. She couldn't believe she would never see Todd and Dani again, and she wondered if she had made the wrong choice.
Greg reminded her that she had chosen to be at the hospice especially because of Todd and Dani. Téa thought she would be upset if the tables were turned, and Shaun thought she was doing the wrong thing too. He had made a good case, Téa contended. Greg believed that his brother thought with his heart, but he was unaware of reality. Greg pointed out that Téa wasn't being selfish but heroic. She had saved Todd and Dani from lots of pain. Téa thanked Greg for getting her to see things more clearly. Greg gave her a pain pill, and Téa lay down in bed. She looked at a photo of Todd and Dani, and it began to blur.
Starr accompanied Langston back to La Boulaie and reminded her friend of the reasons why they had gone to Ford's apartment. She inquired whether Langston was really going to go out with James. He was Ford's brother, Starr emphasized. Langston confessed that she knew James had asked her out to make Starr jealous, and it had obviously worked.
Starr insisted she wasn't jealous, and she pointed out that Langston couldn't be over all that Ford had done to her. Langston insisted that James wasn't Ford, and she had news for Starr. She was using James just as he was using her. She wanted to see how Ford felt because Ford said he didn't want anything to do with Langston.
Starr thought that Langston was going from one bad thing to another, but Langston insisted it was just a date. As the girls stood in the foyer and talked, David and Dorian arrived, kissing as they walked through the door and headed to the kitchen. The girls were surprised, and Starr supposed that Dorian just couldn't get David out of her system. Langston thought that was a perfect reason for her to move on. She thought that James was cute too. Starr was sure that things wouldn't end well.
Once again, David and Dorian passed through on their way upstairs. They were armed with strawberries, whipped cream, and champagne. The girls shuddered, and Langston swore that she wouldn't get hurt. She saw it as a way of saving Starr and Cole's relationship. If she were to keep James busy, he wouldn't bother Starr, Langston said. Starr warned Langston to be careful. Langston reminded her that it was only one date.
Blair was in the study as she observed Eli outside on the phone. She recalled the conversation about Eli that she'd had with John and looked at Eli's passport that she held in her hand. Her plan had been to see what Eli had been up to. She heard him as he gave his instructions to Greg, and when Eli spotted her, he claimed to have been speaking to an assistant of his. They walked into the study, and Eli spotted his open briefcase. Blair disclosed that she had opened it and removed his passport, and she had found something interesting. Eli was visibly angry as he attempted to stay calm. He asked what Blair had seen.
Blair declared that she hadn't seen anything but had learned something. She had looked over Eli's passport and discovered that he had only been to Tahiti and London. She was happy that they could discover lots of new places together. Eli was noticeably relieved and admitted that he assumed Blair had been looking for proof of John's charges against him. Eli wanted to know that Blair trusted him, and Blair advised him she did. She also loved him, but she asked him about his real name.
Eli was surprised at the question, but explained that his real name was Elijah Clarke Rayburn. Due to his brother's activities when they were younger, Eli thought it was best to drop his last name as he attained his status as an attorney. Blair asked why Eli had arranged for Ross to enter his life again, and Eli shrugged. He told her he had "caved."
He contended that he was not who John and Kelly thought he was, and he wasn't like Todd either. He knew Todd had lied to Blair, and Eli wanted Blair to trust him. Blair vowed to do all she could to prove that she did. She suggested that the best way would be for her to marry Eli as soon as possible. She and Eli agreed to marry the next day, and Eli declared that nothing would stop them.
"Nobody does it better," David uttered in Dorian's ear after making love. He thought they should get married the next day. Dorian was thrilled.
Dani and Todd headed inside, and Todd asked Dani if she wanted some milk and cookies before bed. Dani thought it was odd, but Todd admitted that he hadn't known her when she was younger, and he wanted to make up for lost time. She assured him he had with his search for her mother. She walked upstairs to go to bed. Todd made a phone call and asked someone to stop at the house.
Shortly after, Shaun arrived, and Todd advised him that they needed to locate Téa. She was sick and had gone off to die alone. He thought that Shaun was the best person to see the job through to the end, and he wouldn't be satisfied until he had located her. Shaun refused to take the job, since Téa didn't want to be found. Todd wondered how Shaun knew that, but Shaun pointed out that Todd had said it himself. Todd declared that Téa hadn't done the right thing. Shaun continued to flash back to his conversation with Téa in St. Kitts, and Dani sat on the stairs and listened to the men as they conversed.
Shaun insisted it wasn't about the money, but it wasn't right for him to pursue Téa. He left, but once outside, he asked himself, "What am I gonna do?" He received a phone call from Greg, who wanted to make sure that Shaun had arrived back in Llanview safely. Greg reminded his brother not to tell anyone about Téa because he needed to respect the wishes of a dying woman. Inside, Dani walked the rest of the way downstairs. She had thought that Shaun would help. Todd vowed to locate Téa on his own.
James headed back to bed, but was stopped when there was a knock on the door. It was John, who flashed his badge. James thought it was about Ford's loud music, and he deferred to his brother. Ford was surprised to see John and more so when John handcuffed him.
At the Sun, Jessica stared at the latest headline about Hannah and Ford as she spoke to Brody on the phone.
Outside Starr and Cole's apartment, Brody apologized to Jessica for leaving Llanfair early in the morning, but said he was guarding someone for a case, and teased his fiancée, warning her not to use her journalist's instincts to attempt to get the details. Jessica asked him to be careful, and reminded him that he had a family to consider. Flashing back to his conversation with Natalie, Brody told Jessica that family was all he could think about.
After hanging up, Jessica stared at the Sun headline, and remembered her conversation with Ford and his confession about their night together.
At Rex's apartment, Rex answered the door for Kelly while still on the phone with Natalie at the police station. Kelly was desperate for more information on Bennett Thompson, and over the phone, Natalie told Rex that she was almost done reconstructing some of the shredded documents and was recreating a picture that had been destroyed. Kelly urged Rex and Natalie to hurry up, as her family was in danger, but ordered Natalie not to alert John to her activities. Irked, Natalie told Rex to tell Kelly "this ain't my first rodeo." After finishing the call, Rex told Kelly that they had to wait on Natalie and her "doohickey," and he would take a shower in the meantime.
While Rex showered, Kelly got a call from Jessica. Jessica told Kelly she needed to see her: "I'm in big trouble." As Rex emerged from the shower, Kelly told the confused amateur sleuth that she would be back soon, and ordered him to get dressed; she rushed out the door. In response, Rex simply whipped off his towel.
Back at Starr and Cole's apartment, Starr sat in the living room, staring at her laptop. She was seething over Langston's "Myface" page, which indicated that Langston and James had become social networking "friends." As she remembered James and Langston making a date to go out, Cole emerged from the bedroom, which interrupted her. Starr hastily closed her browser window and told Cole she hadn't been able to sleep due to bad dreams.
As Starr and Cole went to pick up the paper, they found Brody and Officer Flynn on their doorstep. The teens were stunned, and Cole demanded to know why Brody was standing guard outside their apartment. Brody said he didn't have the details, but Cole suspected their new police protection involved Hannah's case, and asked Brody again who had given the order for them to be watched. When he mentioned needing to protect Starr and Hope the way Brody needed to protect Jessica and her new baby, Brody relented and told Cole that John wanted him and Starr kept safe. Determined to get answers, Cole hurried to the police station with Officer Flynn in tow.
Starr invited Brody inside and apologized for Cole's behavior, but Brody told her that Cole had nothing to worry about. Brody was surprised that the news of Jessica's pregnancy had already made the rounds of Llanview proper, and Starr congratulated him on the impending new arrival. She laughed at the thought of Jessica and Natalie getting pregnant simultaneously, and joked that it had almost seemed planned. "Right," Brody muttered, forcing a smile. Starr said she was sure it was a happy accident, and told Brody she was very happy for him and Jess, who needed Brody by her side.
At the Ford brothers' apartment, James entered the empty living room, calling out for big brother "Bobby." Checking the second bedroom, he found no one there. Next, he called Ford's voicemail, curious about where Ford could have gone with "that cop" who had visited the apartment the night before. Then, fingering the dented bullet he wore around his neck, he threw a shirt on and headed out the door.
At the police station, Ford was handcuffed to a desk in an interrogation room, and was spitting curses at an impassive John. He warned John that he couldn't be locked up indefinitely, and John suggested he get Ford a lawyer: "Maybe we can call Eli Clarke." After all, Elijah had done a great job with Hannah, and John figured he and Ford could talk about how Ford covered for him when Elijah had bashed his head in.
Ford played dumb, but John ordered him to tell the whole story about Elijah. "And if I don't?" Ford snapped. John replied that if Ford didn't cooperate, he'd release him, but not before leaking to Elijah that Ford had gone to the cops willingly and given them everything. Enraged, Ford told the departing McBain that he'd sue John and take his badge.
In the corridor, John ran into Natalie, who dropped the documents she'd reconstructed for Rex and Kelly. Hiding them from John, she lied that they were routine paperwork. She asked John who he was interrogating, but John said it was nothing and wished her luck at her first doctor's appointment. He told Natalie he wanted her and his baby to be healthy.
Just then, Cole rushed into the station with Officer Flynn; Cole wanted answers from John. As Natalie hurried away with the reconstructed documents, John took Cole aside. Cole asked if the police protection John had put on him and Starr was about Hannah's case, and John confessed that Hannah might not be guilty after all. Cole asked if John had new evidence, or another suspect, then realized that John was interrogating someone in the next room and asked if John had found the real culprit already. Cole pleaded with John to let him into the loop; Marty needed justice, and so did Hannah.
John told Cole he couldn't involve him, as the suspect he was investigating was clever, and the entire case was delicate and dangerous. He promised to let Cole know the whole story when things were safer, and asked him to go home with Officer Flynn, lay low, and play it cool. "Let us do our job," John told the teen. Cole reluctantly agreed, and thanked John for looking out for him and Starr. He asked John to do whatever it took to get the true perpetrator, and John replied that he was already on it.
With Cole gone, John returned to the interrogation room and gave Ford two choices: talk, or take his chances with Elijah. Ford told John he'd need police protection and immunity from prosecution, and John replied that immunity depended on the level of Ford's cooperation and value to the case. "I can give you Eli Clarke and I can exonerate Hannah O'Connor," Ford said. He explained that Elijah, not Hannah, had attacked him, and said that Elijah had forced him to lie. He told John that Elijah had assaulted him because he'd been blackmailing the nefarious lawyer with his other identity and his old name: Bennett Thompson.
At La Boulaie, Blair descended the staircase as Elijah finished a call to the doctors at St. Anne's, from whom he was dismayed to learn that John had barred Hannah from receiving any visitors. Blair asked Elijah if everything was okay, and Elijah turned on a dazzling smile. He told Blair everything was very okay because they were getting married, and pulled her into a kiss.
In the drawing room, David and Dorian sat opposite each other, each typing furiously on a laptop, each updating their "Myface" status to declare their undying love and happiness. As they canoodled, Blair and Elijah entered the room and were immediately repulsed by the impromptu makeout session. Dorian told the younger couple they had wonderful news, but Blair preempted her by revealing that she and Elijah were getting married that day. Startled, Dorian told her niece that Blair couldn't wed Elijah that day, because Dorian and David were getting married instead.
Blair and Elijah were floored by the sudden news, as was the passing Langston, who entered the drawing room and demanded an explanation. David told Langston that he'd be her new "poppa" and asked for a hug, then ordered Blair to call him "uncle," and warned that he'd no longer tolerate her blatant advances. David and Dorian awaited the Cramers' best wishes, but their increasingly vivid honeymoon descriptions nauseated Blair and Langston. Neither Cramer woman was enthused about the nuptials, but Blair agreed that it was good that David and Dorian had finally reclaimed their senses and admitted to their love. David cracked that Blair knew all too well how hard it was to get over one's true love, invoking Todd's name repeatedly and taking a potshot at Elijah.
Dorian explained that she and David had wasted too much time denying their love, but like all great relationships -- "Bonnie and Clyde, Romeo and Juliet, Sid and Nancy" -- "They all died!" Langston noted. Vivian continued as if uninterrupted, they'd endured by getting over themselves and their pride. David promised changes to the "chaos" he saw at La Boulaie, and said that the Cramers were done shedding tears. He felt the family needed a strong male influence to get the Cramer girls "back in the saddle and bringing sexy back." "Is Ray Montez still single, Dorian?" Blair asked warily. When David pooh-poohed Langston's recent romantic foibles and told her he'd help her find a new man, Langston warned Dorian to muzzle her fiancé before Langston ripped his lips off.
As Blair and Elijah crept off towards the patio, Dorian attempted to referee between Langston's rising anger and David's condescending remarks about the teen's love life. When Langston pounced at him, David cowered behind Dorian's shoulder pads. Just then, the doorbell rang, and Dorian defused the standoff by asking her daughter to answer the door. As Langston stalked out, David suggested he and Dorian get separate beauty regimens to prepare for their wedding. Dorian said that could wait, as she wanted to sort out Blair and Elijah's problems first.
On the patio, Elijah asked Blair to let him whisk her away from "this nonsense," but Blair told him that the scene in the drawing room was only a taste of life with the Cramers, and asked him if he was sure he wanted that. Elijah said he wanted it all if it meant he got her. Cuddling up to her fiancé, Blair told Elijah he was wonderful, but she feared they'd have to postpone their wedding once more. "No!" Elijah said heatedly. "Absolutely not!" Whatever it took, he swore he'd marry her that very day.
Dorian ushered Blair and Elijah back into the drawing room, where Elijah suggested that she and David postpone their wedding. Irate, David asked if Elijah thought that he and Dorian wouldn't last. "You're just another flash in Blair's pants," David snapped. "Dorian and I are the real thing!" Hoping to cool tempers, Dorian told the trio that she wanted to share in Blair's newfound happiness, and vice versa, with the kind of wedding her niece deserved - a double wedding.
Blair reminded Dorian of their drunken spectacle at Viki and Charlie, and Nora and Clint's double wedding, and asked Dorian if she really wanted to share a wedding anniversary with her and Elijah. Dorian said she'd be honored to share the day, and the altar, with Blair and Elijah, and suggested that the ensuing press of a mayoral wedding would help Elijah's career as well. "It's gonna be the hottest ticket in town!" Dorian declared.
Blair asked if her aunt wanted a double wedding to show Viki up, but Dorian insisted that she wanted the wedding to show Llanview who the Cramer women, and their men, really were, and asked the trio if they were with her. "What the heck!" Elijah cried, and told Blair he'd waited too long to stand before God and make her his; he wanted to marry her that very day, alongside David and Dorian. "Aren't you gonna say yes?" David asked Blair. "You always say yes when a guy asks you to marry him."
To Dorian's delight, Blair agreed -- they'd have a double Cramer wedding. Dorian suggested Andrew Carpenter officiate, but Elijah seemed anxious to have a justice of the peace perform the ceremony. His fears were abated when Dorian remembered that Andrew was out of the country on a "church exchange."
At Rex's apartment, Rex threw on some pants just in time to greet Natalie at his door. Natalie told him she had the reconstructed documents, and the evidence he and Kelly needed.
Meanwhile, Kelly arrived at the offices of the Sun, where Jessica stated point-blank that she'd slept with Ford after all. Kelly was shocked that Ford had lied to her even after being warned about Jessica's hepatitis C. The ladies shared their disgust for "the dog of Llanview U," who'd blamed Jessica for his keeping the secret. Collecting herself, Kelly told Jessica that "what's done is done," and urged her to stay calm. But Jessica said nothing was done; "everyone thinks I'm having Brody's baby except me!"
Kelly told Jessica not to lose her head. "Clearly you don't know me very well these days," Jess quipped. Kelly insisted that all they needed to do was figure out their next move and not assume the worst, but Jessica didn't want to sugarcoat things -- the fact remained that she could be pregnant with Robert Ford's baby. Kelly said they couldn't know for sure, and asked if Ford had seemed to feel any sense of obligation regarding the possibility of fatherhood. Jessica said that Ford hadn't cared less, but feared she couldn't count on him to keep his mouth shut in the future; after all, "it's Ford!"
Kelly checked her phone and discovered Dorian, David, and Blair's Myface updates indicating their double wedding. Before she could process her shock, she received a text message from Rex asking her to head to the apartment. Jessica assured Kelly she'd be fine, and told her to continue her investigation. Kelly urged Jessica not to do anything rash, and reminded her she wouldn't know for sure about the baby's paternity until she got the test results. After Kelly left, Jessica's calm facade collapsed into a mask of worry and fear.
At Starr and Cole's apartment, Starr discovered the Myface updates about the Cramer double wedding. Stunned, she asked Brody if he could drop her and Hope off at La Boulaie.
At La Boulaie, Langston answered the front door and was surprised to see James. She told him he needed to call before taking her out, but James said he was there looking for Ford, who he suspected might have visited her again. Langston reminded James that he'd only asked her out because Ford had claimed he didn't want anything to do with her, and pushed him to admit that he'd only expressed an interest in her to get under Starr and Ford's collective skin. "Aren't you going out with me to stick it to him?" James countered. He urged her to go out with him, anyway, and promised it would be painless - "well, maybe not for Bobby."
Langston took James into the living room, where David and Dorian demanded an introduction to the handsome young man. Acting the part of the patriarch, David immediately began quizzing James about his prospects and whether he had a job. "Do you?" Blair shot back. "Blair, I'm in character!" David groused, and said he didn't want Langston dating "beneath her station" in life.
Langston moved to flee with James, but Dorian told her she couldn't leave when a Cramer wedding was afoot. "Oh, God, that's still happening?" Langston moaned. Dorian asked Langston to be her maid of honor, while Blair realized she still had to call Starr.
Outside, Brody and Starr arrived at the front door, and Starr thanked a departing Addie for watching Hope for her during the nuptials. Starr told Brody he could leave, but Brody insisted on keeping watch over her per John's orders. Just then, his replacement officer arrived, and Brody bid Starr goodbye. Amused, Starr told him that with his protective streak he'd make a great dad.
Entering the house, Starr headed for the living room and discovered the wedding preparations. Overjoyed, she embraced Blair and then Elijah, and welcomed him to the family. Realizing she had to head upstairs to get dressed for the occasion, Starr spun around, only to find James in her path. "What's he doing here?" she asked, immediately assuming the younger Ford was there to see her. James informed her that he'd stopped by to take Langston on their date.
Irritated, Starr told James that his timing sucked; they were preparing for a family wedding, and his date would have to wait. David disagreed and suggested James be Langston's date to the double wedding. As James smirked at her, Starr grew petulant and complained that she didn't want "strangers" attending an intimate family ceremony, but Dorian said it wasn't a private celebration. Grasping at straws, Starr told James that the wedding would be too "sentimental" for him. "I love sentimental," James replied, holding up his bullet necklace. "See?"
As Starr smiled at James's gesture, David rushed out of La Boulaie to summon "Pa" Bo to his wedding. James asked Langston when he should be back for the ceremony, and Dorian told him to return as quickly as possible -- they'd all waited long enough for love. Elijah agreed, kissing Blair passionately. As the lovers swooned, Starr glared at Langston and James drawing closer together.
Back at the Sun, Jessica stared at the headline about Ford and Hannah again, and remembered Kelly's words of wisdom about the paternity test results. Calling the hospital, she asked a nurse when she could expect to perform the test. As she spoke, Brody walked into the office.
At Starr and Cole's apartment, Cole returned home and stared at the headline about Hannah, and brooded in silence.
At Rex's loft, Kelly arrived and met with Rex and Natalie. Natalie unveiled the photo reconstruction she'd done: A fragmented image that clearly showed Elijah's mug shot as Bennett Thompson. "Jackpot," Kelly murmured.
Brody walked into the Sun office just as Jessica put through a call to her doctor to find out when a pregnant woman would be able to schedule a paternity test. He asked why she was making such a call, since he knew it couldn't be for their expected baby. Jessica quickly hung up and explained that she was working on a story for the newspaper, and she wouldn't be able to give Brody any details on it.
Brody and Jessica settled down to look at the book with baby names. Brody thought he should have a say in the name since the baby was half his. He had circled some names and chosen some that were "gender neutral," since they didn't know whether the baby would be a boy or girl. He noticed that Jessica had circled mostly girl's names, and he wondered if she had an idea about the baby's sex. Jessica denied that she did, but she indicated that twins ran in her family so it was a possibility. She also knew that she wanted the baby to be just like Brody.
Neither wanted to share what they were working on, though Jessica voiced her desire to be able to tell Brody everything. He voiced the same. They shared a kiss, and each expressed their love for the other. Jessica picked up where she had left off before Brody had arrived and called the doctor's office. She asked when a paternity test could be given. She appeared distressed as she ended the call.
John questioned Ford in the interrogation room, but the young man was reluctant to talk at first. Realizing that there was no alternative, he told John about his past and how he knew Eli's true identity. Ford revealed that when he had lived in Los Angeles, he'd had an affair with a woman named Olivia. As it turned out, she was married to Bennett Thompson. The woman insisted on meeting at her own house, and she was very rich, Ford continued. One day she just disappeared, the house was deserted, and he couldn't track her down. She'd simply vanished.
John asked how the pair had met, and Ford revealed they had met at an art gallery. She'd spoken a lot about her husband, who had apparently only married her for her money. He remembered the photos of Olivia's husband around her house, but he didn't realize that Eli and Bennett were the same man until he'd arrived in Llanview and gotten involved with David's reality show. David had hired Eli as his attorney. Ford tried to get Eli to admit who he was and even threatened to go to the police. He knew Eli must have been hiding something and, being desperate for money, Ford began to blackmail him. Eli had threatened to go after James.
John assigned someone to keep watch over James. Ford wished that Eli were behind bars, but that angered John. Thanks to Ford's lies and his choice not to involve the police sooner, Eli was still out on the street. He wondered why Ford hadn't gone to the police when Olivia disappeared, but Ford had thought she'd run away. He only wanted to protect her and himself. Ford thought it quite an irony that Eli was so bad he made Ford look like a good guy.
Kelly held onto her reconstructed mug shot of Eli Clarke and bumped headfirst into David as she hurried to see John. They had some words, but Kelly quickly tore away and burst in on John and Ford. John was miffed and ordered her out of the room because he was taking care of police business. He would see her later, he added.
David found Nora peering into Bo's office window as her husband drew a map for the newly hired Inez. Bo wanted to make sure Inez didn't get lost as she tried to maneuver her way around the police station. David gave a look at Inez and predicted disaster for Nora's new marriage. "Kiss pa goodbye," he proclaimed. Nora advised him that Inez was Bo's new assistant, but David didn't want to hear any explanations. He reminded Nora that Clint had married his new assistant, and he thought that Nora should "take off the blinders."
Annoyed that David referred to her as "ma," Nora told him the situation was different. David stated that Nora was "sitting on a powder keg waiting to blow. Tick Tock!" He added that first Bo would arrive home late from work, and then Inez would do her best to get chummy with Nora as she complimented Nora on many facets of her life. He thought his own marriage would last longer than Nora's if she let things continue. He revealed that he was getting married to Dorian. Nora couldn't believe that Dorian would be her new daughter-in-law.
David rushed into Bo's office and announced that he wanted to speak to his father. Inez was surprised to learn that David was Bo's son. David was annoyed that Bo didn't have any photos of David around, and he promised to give his dad a wedding photo. Bo learned about the wedding, and David asked if Bo approved. "Will it stop you?" Bo asked. David asked if the question was a trick or if he'd lose his inheritance if he married Dorian. He didn't wait for Bo to answer but declared his love for Dorian instead. Bo thought that was a good response, but he wouldn't give his approval. David asked Bo to be his best man.
Inez and Nora met in the hallway. Inez exclaimed how kind and generous Bo was. She complimented Nora on her job and her son. David's dire predictions played through Nora's head as she spoke to Inez. Nora wondered if Nate was Inez's only son and was surprised to hear that Inez had two others. Nora quickly assured Inez that David was not her son, and Inez agreed that Nora couldn't be old enough. Nora heard David's voice in her head again. Inez admitted she and the boys' father had "parted ways" long before.
At La Boulaie, Dorian continued to lay out her wedding plans and thought that James should don a suit if he planned to accompany Langston to the wedding. Starr thought she should have a word with Langston, but Dorian wondered why. She thought that James was a vast improvement over the vile Robert Ford. Starr was happy to point out that James was Robert's brother.
Langston was annoyed with Starr, and while Dorian agreed she could see the resemblance, she thought it best to have a word with Langston, who refused. Langston noted that James was nothing like his brother, but when Dorian reminded her that James had almost gotten Starr killed, it was Langston who wanted to speak to Dorian. Starr advised James that she didn't want him to hurt Langston, but he retorted that he wasn't the "hurting kind."
Outside, Blair was less than thrilled to have to share her wedding day with her aunt, but Eli was happy. He'd never expected to get married and didn't mind the situation. Blair thought it was almost strange that Eli had never been married. He would look to her to lead the way due to her experience, he told her. He assured her that this marriage would be different from the others. He wanted her to think about buying a house he had seen.
Out in the foyer, Dorian revealed that she knew Langston was trying to make Ford jealous. Langston pointed out that Dorian has just been through a similar scenario with David, but Dorian wasn't eager to discuss her own situation. Langston announced her intention to go out with James, citing the fact that it was only one date. She didn't care if Dorian liked it or not. Dorian interrupted Eli and Blair and exclaimed that she needed help with Langston and Ford. Eli uttered that he didn't like the man.
Eli and Blair headed into the house, and Eli introduced himself to James, who looked at him guardedly. "I think you know my brother," James stated. "Who's your brother?" Eli inquired. "Robert Ford," James replied. "Oh," Eli said. He assumed that Bobby had told James that Eli was "bad news." James agreed that he had. Eli thought it was simply because he had represented Hannah, but she was entitled to a defense, and that was his job. He didn't want James to hold it against him.
Dorian told Blair about Langston's situation, and Langston quickly announced that the brothers were nothing alike. Blair agreed that was usually the case, referring to Ross and Eli. Blair had a problem with all that James had done to Starr though.
As Eli and James chatted, the women reappeared. Dorian announced that because of all that James had done to Starr, he would not be permitted to be anywhere near a Cramer woman ever again.
Starr left La Boulaie and arrived at her own apartment to find Cole already there. She wondered if John had told him why the cops were guarding them. Cole only knew it had something to do with Hannah, and Starr jumped at the thought that Hannah had escaped and was after them. Cole thought Starr had to be kidding. He disclosed that Hannah was innocent of all the charges made against her. He admitted that John hadn't exactly told him that, but John had made it obvious that she hadn't pushed Marty.
Starr pondered the fact that Cole thought Hannah was innocent of everything, and Cole agreed that she also hadn't attacked Ford. Starr reminded him that Hannah had lied and tried to break them up. She would never forgive her for those things. Cole conceded that he wasn't asking Starr to forgive those acts. Starr wondered who had actually committed the attacks on Marty and Ford. All Cole knew was that it wasn't Hannah, and Starr agreed to accept it. She didn't want to fight, and she believed him, she replied. She informed him they would have to get ready for the wedding, and she filled him in on the latest. She said it was a great, but Cole thought that Starr didn't appear to be excited.
He wondered if she still wanted to talk about Hannah, but Starr admitted it was about James. He had showed up at La Boulaie to see Langston, and he was taking her to the wedding as a date. Langston only wanted to make Ford jealous. Cole asked if James wanted to make Starr jealous. Starr agreed that was probably so. "Well, is it working?" he wanted to know. "Does it bother you?" Starr asked, adding that she thought that Langston would regret it if she were dating James for the wrong reasons. Cole was worried about Langston, but Starr didn't think there was a need for that. She was sure Dorian wouldn't allow Langston to date James when she heard he was Ford's brother.
Ford appreciated the protection that John had arranged, but he still wanted immunity. He thought he had given John a lot of information. "We'll see," John answered. Ford thought he and his brother would be dead if he actually didn't give enough detail. John tossed him a pad of paper and a pen and told him to write everything down. He stepped out of the office and saw Kelly with the mug shot photograph of Eli. She wondered if she had enough to get Eli arrested before Blair married him.
John noticed that parts of the photo were missing, and he asked where Kelly had obtained it. She tried to deflect John's questions but finally admitted she had broken into Eli's hotel room. John wasn't happy to hear that, but Kelly wanted him to get the warrant.
David revealed that he was getting married that day, but Bo didn't think he could leave the office. A disappointed David reminded his father that David had saved Bo's own wedding day. He persuaded Bo to join him and pointed out that it would be a good time for them to purge reminders of ill-fated weddings in the past. David left the office and found Nora and Inez together. Inez left on her errand, and David asked Nora to write a wedding toast. He whispered that she should not let Bo spend time with Inez. John and Kelly appeared, and John asked to meet with Bo and Nora.
He told them that Eli was not the only alias of Bennett Thompson. The station was investigating the name on the mug shot. Kelly explained how Eli always showed up whenever she and Rex were getting close to finding anything out. Eli had killed a clerk in Boston and her mother, Kelly stated. She grilled John and included herself in the "we" handling the investigation. John grew more annoyed by the seconds. Bo suggested she let John do his job. Kelly was livid that criminals had more rights than the victims.
Bo told the group about the wedding and the fact that they couldn't tip Eli off. John nodded his head at Brody who had just arrived at the station and looked through the office window. John told the assembled group that it wasn't Hannah who had committed the crimes against Ford and Marty. Eli had also threatened to hurt Cole, which was the reason that Hannah had swallowed the pills. Eli had forced her to do it. Nora realized that was the reason Eli had been shocked when she told him that Hannah had survived. John stressed that they needed to obtain the warrant before Eli knew what was going on. John revealed that Robert Ford was a witness to Eli's multiple identities. Kelly left to get ready for the wedding.
Inez looked at her map and wandered around, trying to find the correct room. She opened one of the doors and found Ford sitting at a table, writing. Ford jumped up, angered to see his mother walk in the door. He asked if John had sent her. Inez revealed that she worked there, and she wanted to know what he was doing. Ford mentioned that the police were using him to get information on someone else. He wanted her to stay away from him, and he didn't want her to pretend she cared. Inez asked about a lawyer, but Ford explained that he had been given the runaround. He shouted at her to leave.
She walked out and thumbed through the top file in the stack she held in her arm. It was Cole's file, and she looked for the name of his attorney. It was Elijah Clarke. She made a phone call to him. As Ford sat in the room and wrote, he thought back to Eli's threats.
James apologized to the group for his actions. He wasn't sorry he'd met Starr and learned about her family. In fact, he was jealous of her, he stated. She got to be surrounded by people who loved her, and he thought he could learn a lot by being around Langston. He wanted another chance. Dorian spoke up first. "You got me with jealous of the family," she said. Blair muttered to Langston that it was all a mistake if she thought it was only to get back at Ford. It was certain to backfire.
David wandered in and berated Dorian for standing in the way of young love. He waxed poetic, and by the time he was finished, Dorian was eating out of his hand. She agreed that Langston and James could see each other. "But you hurt my daughter, you're a dead man," she said to James. David told Dorian that Bo would be his best man. "Oh," she said, looking flustered.
Blair kicked Eli out, pointing out that she had to get ready for her wedding. She apologized again for all the charges that Kelly had leveled at him. She ran upstairs, and Eli paused to answer his phone. It was Inez, and she told him she needed a lawyer for her son. Eli said he was sorry, but he was booked up. He offered to give her a referral. Inez was firm and explained that her son was being held at the station. His name was Robert Ford, and he was being held at the police station when he had done nothing wrong. The police wanted information on someone else. Eli changed his mind and agreed to help.
Blair's phone began to ring, but when she saw that it was Kelly, she ignored the call.
Dorian barged into the living room at Llanfair, spoke French to Viki, and declared that she loved the decorations of the room. Dorian screamed that all of her senses were alive again, and that she could smell "the deliciousness of the roses" and the newly mown grass. When Viki asked if Dorian was high on tea, Dorian revealed that she was high on love. Dorian explained that the currents of emotion could run deep and sometimes it could take a little time to ignite them. Dorian then announced that she was getting married, and Viki asked who Dorian was marrying and correctly assumed that this time Dorian was marrying a man. When Dorian said, "David Vickers Buchanan," Viki applauded.
Dorian insisted that David had begged and pleaded with Dorian to get back together, and that he had proposed. Dorian informed Viki that the wedding would take place that day with another couple, her niece, Blair, and Elijah Clarke. "Yes, this afternoon in a double wedding extravaganza, which I tell you just based on sheer impulsive passion, is going to put all other weddings to shame." Viki expressed confusion, because the last she had heard was that Dorian was seeing Clint. Dorian explained the situation with Clint, David, and Mandy, and that all the foolishness was over. Dorian claimed that the person David and Dorian had to thank the most for their reunion was Viki.
Viki was surprised to see Dorian happy and was shocked when Dorian apologized, because she had never thought to hear the words, "I'm sorry," from Dorian. Outraged, Dorian started to leave, and Viki begged her to stop. "Oh no, no, don't go. Please, Dorian, please don't go. Please don't. See...I'm sorry. I'm sorry. See how easy that is. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What I really meant to say was you have nothing to thank me for."
However, Dorian claimed that Charlie and Viki's childish charade had prompted David and Dorian's reunion. Dorian exclaimed that it was due to Viki's revenge over Joey, and to seeing the appalling sight of Viki and David in bed together that Dorian and David's admitted their mutual love. Viki voiced that the thought of revenge over Joey had not occurred to her, but that she guessed she deserved Dorian's wrath. After she insisted that David never would have gone through with making love to Viki, Dorian stated that Charlie belonged to Viki, and that David belonged to Dorian, therefore, it was a win-win situation.
Viki was surprised that Dorian would want Charlie and Viki at her wedding, and that the wedding was to take place that day. Dorian explained that she had contingency plans to cover almost anything, since she was the major. After Viki gave a definite maybe to the invitation, Dorian said, "David and I are registered online. Don't stint. This is going to be my last wedding," and left.
At La Boulaie, David told Kelly not to mess up his wedding day, and not to be late. Kelly asked David, as he ran out the door, if he knew where Blair was. Kelly then found Eli in the parlor and congratulated him. Eli asked Kelly about her theory that Eli was her mother's murderer, and that he was Bennett Thompson. He demanded that Kelly back off, and Kelly replied, "Or what? You'll give me a heart attack too?"
At Todd's mansion, Blair called for Dani up the stairs, as Dani talked on her cell phone to Nate about his newly found brothers. Blair entered Dani's room and invited her to the wedding. Dani was surprised about the suddenness of the wedding and asked where Blair and Eli were going for their honeymoon. Blair realized that she and Eli had not yet talked about their honeymoon, as she grabbed Dani's hand. Dani cried that she would be unable to attend.
Dani insisted that she had to stay home for Todd's call, in case he found Téa. However, Blair refused to get married without Dani. As Blair carried a board game to the table, Dani stressed that she did not want Blair to postpone the wedding for her. Blair insisted on Dani's attendance and claimed that Eli would understand. "Believe me, there's not a mean bone in Uncle Eli's body."
Dani begged Blair to marry her Uncle Eli that day and maintained that she could not attend and bring all of the guests down. But Blair related that Kelly would be attending anyway, and that Kelly was already "the downer." However, Blair agreed to marry Eli that day. Blair and Dani joked about the lack of planning for the honeymoon. Dani then observed that she missed Téa, and Blair hugged Dani, as she stated that she did too.
When Dani told Blair that Blair had meant a lot to her mother, Blair agreed that she and Téa had "come a long way," since they had once been "mortal enemies." Blair asked Dani if she wanted Blair to deliver a message to Nate at the country club, where the wedding would be, or if Dani wanted to deliver it in person. Dani said that she would need to find a dress, and they hugged and laughed.
At the Llanview Country Club, Matthew called for the towel boy, as he handed his empty glass to Nate. "My ice melted." Matthew then changed his mind and demanded a can on ice to keep his drink cold. Nate asked, "Why are you being such a bitch?" Matthew responded that he would talk to Nate's manager about Nate's treatment of the guests. "Oh, Salinger, summer's not over yet, and I intend on making it as painful as possible for you, so get used to it."
Also at the country club, Shaun ran to Destiny and Darren and demanded to know why he had needed to rush over. Destiny cried, "Dani. And why you won't help her dad find her mom?" Destiny knew that Shaun was up to something, and that Todd had asked Shaun to find Téa. David arrived and yelled that he had a big announcement that they all would never guess. Destiny stated, "You're marrying Dorian."
David was disappointed that Destiny had ruined his surprise, since they were supposed to be "BFF's," but Destiny pointed out that David had already posted the news on MyFace. Matthew indicated, as he walked up, that the whole point of posting on MyFace was so that everyone could see it. Darren quoted love lines of Shakespeare to Destiny and then asked if David had pursued Dorian or vice versa. David replied, "Need you ask, Derwin? When it comes to me, Dorian always comes crawling back for a little bit more." David invited Destiny, Darren, Matthew, and Shaun to the wedding. David insisted that he would need Shaun to act as a bodyguard, since the wedding would be such a big event, that he was sure someone would probably get shot.
David then told Matthew that he had wanted his little brother to be his best man, but that their pa had insisted on doing the honors. However, David told Matthew to arrive with Fawn on his arm, unless he still wanted "Miss Smarty." Matthew declared that Miss Smarty could rotate for all he cared, as long as she did not attend the wedding with the loser. "Plus I wouldn't want my big brother's wedding to be ruined."
Spotting Nate, David invited the "pool boy" to act as Miss Smarty's date, as Matthew winced. Matthew grabbed David's arm, and as they rushed to another area, he informed David that the pool boy was Nate, the loser. "The point is you're my brother. You're supposed to have my back." David then uninvited Nate, however, Nate declared that he would be at the wedding, anyway, serving drinks. Nate informed Matthew that if he tried to embarrass Nate in front of Dani, he would only hurt Dani. Nate insisted that Dani was fragile, since her mother was dying. When Matthew scoffed, Destiny verified that it was true. Matthew was shocked and wondered why Destiny had not told him about Téa. Destiny claimed that she had not wanted to ruin Matthew's fun.
David declared, "Leave it to Téa to upstage my wedding. Dorian is not going to like this." Matthew apologized to Destiny, and when he asked if she had talked to Dani, Destiny asked how she could have talked to Dani, when her mother was dying. David sympathized, "Yes, yes, that's terribly tragic and all, but we have a wedding to attend -- mine. Dagwood, gentlemen, tux time."
Dani arrived at the country club and joined Destiny and Shaun. After Destiny introduced Shaun to her, Dani stated that she knew who Shaun was and demanded to know why Shaun had refused to help her dad find her mother.
At the Llanview Police Station, in the interrogation room, Inez announced that she had secured a lawyer for Ford and handed him the phone. Eli sneered over the phone, "Hello, Bobby. I hear you've been a bad boy." Eli told Bobby that he had heard that Ford had been "singing his little heart out," and that every person that Ford cared for, including his mother, brother, and even Langston, would die, if Ford did not keep quiet. Bobby reminded Eli of his letter, and Eli stated that he was sure that the letter would be a great comfort to Ford's mother and hung up. Bobby demanded that Inez never talk to Eli again and begged her to stay out of his life. After he screamed for her to leave, Inez sadly left the room.
In Bo's office at the police station, John informed Bo and Nora that according to Hannah, Eli Clarke had pushed Marty down the stairs, and Bo added that Eli must have attacked Ford also. John revealed that Ford had been blackmailing Eli, since he had known that Eli was Bennett Thompson. When Bo asked about the evidence in the file, Nora stated that the mug shot was inadmissible. When Detective Price carried in the files, Nora indicated that they were out of time, because if Eli "gets wind of what we're doing here, he'll blow Dodge."
As he held up a picture of a more youthful Eli, John revealed that the man in the photo was Greg Pattison, who had been arrested and cleared of his wife's murder, when it had been determined that she had died of a heart attack. Nora advised that Eli's change of identity would not get them a warrant, but that they still had Bobby Ford. However, Bo questioned if Ford's story would hold up in court. Nora realized that Eli was a flight risk and suggested that they arraign him for assault. Bo told John that the evidence discovered by Kelly was tainted, but John said that he would find a way around that and left.
Nora entered the interrogation room and asked for Ford's signed statement. Bobby insisted that he could not sign it, because it was a lie, and that Hannah had actually attacked him. When Nora asked if Eli had threatened him, Ford maintained that he could not sign the statement and crumpled it up.
Inez walked into Bo's office and told Bo that Bobby had been arrested and that she had put Ford in touch with an attorney, Eli Clarke. Bo filled Inez in on Eli and their suspicions. When Nora reentered Bo's office and announced that Bobby had recanted his testimony, Inez cried that it was all her fault.
Back at La Boulaie, Eli speculated that Kelly might be hostile and crazy, like her mother, but Kelly insisted that she just did not want Blair to be played for a fool. Kelly stressed that she was so crazy, she could see through Eli's act. "I think you are trying to break into the big leagues...and you will kill anyone who stands in your way." Eli demanded that Kelly show him the proof and reminded her that she had killed Blair's unborn child. Eli exclaimed that if proof existed, John would be at La Boulaie with a warrant for his arrest, just as John walked in.
John announced that he was at the mansion to make an arrest and then arrested Kelly for breaking into Eli's hotel room. Eli voiced that Kelly's behavior had gotten erratic and stated that he had heard that Ford had been arrested. John verified that Ford had been at the police station for questioning but had been released. As John escorted Kelly out of La Boulaie in handcuffs, he told Detective Price that the detective knew what he had to do.
Once Eli walked out of La Boulaie, Detective Price called and updated John, who told Price not to lose sight of Eli. At the police station, John explained to Kelly that he had needed to arrest her, in order to get the evidence in at trial against Eli. When Kelly asked for the handcuffs to be removed, John ran out of the room and into Bo's office, where Nora blamed Inez for letting Eli "go free." Nora updated John about Ford's refusal to sign the statement and yelled, "And now we got nothing. No way to get an arrest warrant." Bo indicated that Kelly's evidence was a start, and Nora wondered if they even could use it.
Nora stated that she would try to scare up an arrest warrant from the judge, and John insisted that he would try to get Ford to change his mind about signing the statement. Nora asked how John could do that, since Eli had obviously threatened Ford and had even put him in the hospital at one time. "What do you think Clarke's going to do to Ford, if he thinks Ford gave him up?" Outside Bo's office, Inez looked at her framed picture of Bobby, as a child. John said, "It's a long shot. I've got one card to play," as Ford gazed at the ceiling in the interrogation room.
As John took the handcuffs off of Kelly's wrists, Kelly remarked, "I assume this means I can go." John replied, "No, not yet." Kelly begged, "Come on. Are you serious, John?" John responded, "I don't like it any more than you do, but you're right. I need your help. I can't bust Eli without you."
Blair held up a wedding dress standing before a mirror, when Eli walked in. Blair laughed and said, "Eli, what are you doing? It's bad luck to see the bride before the ceremony." Eli revealed, "There's been a change in plans." pointed that Destiny had ruined his surprise, since they were supposed to be "BFF's," but Destiny pointed out that David had already posted the news on My Face. Matthew indicated, as he walked up, that the whole point of posting on My Face was so that everyone could see it. Darren quoted love lines of Shakespeare to Destiny and then asked if David had pursued Dorian or vice versa. David replied, "Need you ask, Derwin. When it comes to me, Dorian always comes crawling back for a little bit more." David invited Destiny, Darren, Matthew, and Shaun to the wedding. David insisted that he would need Shaun to act as a bodyguard, since the wedding would be such a big event, that he was sure someone would probably get shot.
David then told Matthew that he had wanted his little brother to be his best man, but that their pa had insisted on doing the honors. However, David told Matthew to arrive with Fawn on his arm, unless he still wanted "Miss Smarty." Matthew declared that Miss Smarty could rotate for all he cared, as long as she did not attend the wedding with the loser. "Plus I wouldn't want my big brother's wedding to be ruined."
