Grace was upset when her train was called to board and Sam was still not there. David flat-out told Grace that the trip meant much more to her than it did to Sam. Sam, en route to the hospital heard the report on his police radio that there had been an explosion at Harmony Hospital. Sam heard that the blast had been centered around the emergency room. Right away, he thought of Ivy and had to turn the car around. David told Grace that they should go to the hospital, and he would prove that Sam was with Ivy because she meant more to him than Grace did.
"Diana" had a cramp as she was swimming. The cramp helped to pull her under the water, and she cried for help. Luis heard and tried to find her. Brian told Liz that he had been thinking of "Diana" and asked Liz to check on her. Luis felt that his Sheridan was very close by and tried to make himself accept it. At first, Luis thought the voice he heard was his imagination. He then heard the voice again and realized that someone was actually crying out for help.
Julian was excited about finally being free. The explosion caused all three women, Ivy, Theresa, and Rebecca, to be knocked out. Eve saw that the oxygen had caused the explosion but could not figure out how it had happened. Rebecca awoke, called Theresa a tramp, and said it was all her fault. Pilar found Theresa, who was slowly regaining consciousness. Sam worried about Ivy and rushed in to help her. Both Sam and Ethan lifted Ivy off the floor. Eve said that Ivy would be all right.
The men from the zoo had the panther in their sights. Charity felt that the panther was not from the zoo but was the evil that was out to destroy her and Miguel's love. Tabitha and Timmy had leashed the real zoo panther as they tried to drag it back to Tabitha's house.
Sam was trying to get to the bottom of why the oxygen had exploded. He told his deputy to find out if it had been ignited on purpose. Julian mumbled to Sam that all three women were gone and said something about oxygen causing the explosion. Sam got suspicious and asked Julian what he knew about everything that was going on. Julian lied his way out of it then found out that the women were still alive. Harper told Julian that he'd better find his lighter, or he would be under even more suspicion.
Panther Kay got shot and fell on Tabitha and Timmy. The paws had turned back into Kay's hands as she fell lifeless to the ground. Rebecca told Gwen that Julian and Theresa were married. Grace saw Sam and Ivy together.
Ethan told Theresa that he could forgive her anything unless it was a deep, dark secret. Theresa feared the worst when Ethan said he would need to keep the promise that he'd made to his mother about breaking their engagement if Theresa were to lie to him again.
Gwen was delighted at hearing the news about Julian and Theresa's nuptials. Rebecca told Gwen that they were about to "take the little tramp down." Rebecca also said that they would both be getting everything that they wanted.
Luis went to rescue "Diana," but Brian beat him to it. "Diana" thought she was being saved by her long-lost love. They rushed her to Doc because she was unconscious.
Tabitha and Timmy tried to get Panther Kay back to Tabitha's house and put her to bed until the panther spell wore off. The men from the zoo had the real panther cornered. Charity said the zoo panther was not the evil that she'd felt. The panther that they'd chased had been evil. Charity assured Miguel that the panther they were chasing wanted to tear them apart forever.
The policeman saw Julian remove his lighter from the scene of the explosion. He called Julian on it. The police officer found it interesting that Julian was trying to remove a lighter with his initials from the crime scene. Rebecca baited Ethan about honesty. Rebecca told Ethan she knew something about honesty that would rock his world.
The zoo panther was taken down with a dart. The men from the zoo could not understand where the first dart had gone, unaware that it was in Kay. Reese and the others followed tracks back to Tabitha's house as Tabitha and Timmy dragged Panther Kay back home. Kay reappeared as herself. Everyone asked Tabitha about a second panther. They were angry at Kay for being asleep. Tabitha said their imaginations were working overtime.
David and Grace walked in on Sam and Ivy. David made accusations that Sam cared more for Ivy than he did for Grace. Grace tried to be understanding toward Sam, but David kept driving home the point that Sam still cared for Ivy. Sam heard Julian arguing with the police officer over his lighter. Sam intervened, and Julian assured him that he and Harper had been far away from Ivy when the explosion had occurred.
Rebecca told Sam that Theresa Lopez Fitzgerald had caused the explosion that had almost killed Ivy and her as well. Rebecca implied that Theresa had a reason to get rid of Ivy. Sam blamed the explosion on Rebecca. He said that all her metal jewelry could have sparked an explosion. Sam said that it would have been suicide for Theresa to flick Julian's lighter. Sam closed the case.
David questioned Sam as to who he'd been worrying more about when he'd heard of the explosion, Ethan or Ivy. Sam remembered how worried over Ivy he had been, and Grace could read the truth in his face. Ivy woke up and told Ethan the truth. She said that Theresa had a reason to want to kill her. Ivy said, "Julian and Theresa were married in Bermuda. Your fiancée is Julian's wife."
David accused Sam of caring more for Ivy than he did for Grace. He insisted that Sam loved Ivy more. Grace tried to understand why Sam had worried about Ivy, since she was paralyzed and had been in the center of the explosion.
Tabitha and Timmy saw the scroll float into the air. The scroll had pictures of Luis and Sheridan from their past lives. Tabitha said that they were in for more pain and suffering. Tabitha recounted the tragic story of Luis and Sheridan's lost past love. In the story, Tabitha put a spell on a young naval officer who was destined to get between Sheridan and Luis for all eternity. The officer's face was revealed, and it was Brian.
Brian breathed life back into "Diana" and saved her life again. Luis was worried sick over "Diana" because he said that he could not bear to see another woman drown like his fiancée had. Liz spent time with Luis, and he told Liz about Sheridan's belief that they were star-crossed lovers that had lived before. He even admitted that they had been passengers on the Titanic.
Ivy told an unbelieving Ethan once again that his fiancée Theresa was married to Julian, the man he'd thought for years was his father. As Ivy was about to show Ethan the proof, she went into a painful spell, and Eve was called. She agreed to buy Theresa some time only if she promised to tell Ethan the truth first. Ethan believed that Ivy was hallucinating because of the blast. Rebecca told Ethan to wake up and see Theresa for the two-timing tart that she was.
Rebecca told Ethan that Julian had confessed to the marriage, and it was not Ivy's imagination. Eve confessed to Ivy that she was buying time for Theresa. Eve told Ivy that they both knew what kind of man Julian was. Ivy blamed all her problems on Theresa and Eve said everything that had happened to Ivy was her own fault. Ethan confronted Julian. Ethan was convinced that Julian was a weasel and told Rebecca that he was lying about being married to Theresa to get out of marrying her.
Rebecca had serious doubts, as did Gwen. Everybody was about to believe that Julian was lying, but Ivy rolled in with proof. She showed Ethan the fax of the marriage license. Theresa begged Ethan to let her explain, and Ethan said that he could see the truth in her face. Ethan told Julian not to think of leaving. Ethan then went into a rage and attacked Julian. He grabbed him by the throat and tried to strangle him.
Luis told Liz of his past life experience as Liam and his love, Susan. As Luis recounted the tale of his past experience on the Titanic, Tabitha told Timmy her version and of all the chaos she'd caused.
As Susan and Liam danced in steerage, Tabitha put a spell on a young officer. He fell instantly in love with Susan. She could feel it when she looked at him staring at her. It unsettled Susan, who viewed the young officer as a threat to her relationship with Liam. The officer had been sent to take her back to her mother.
As the Titanic struck the iceberg, Susan and Liam desperately tried to find each other. The officer tried to get Susan in a lifeboat, but she was determined to find Liam. They finally reached each other on the deck and fell overboard before they could get into a lifeboat. They fell into the frigid water.
Later, the young officer who was in love with Susan found her in the water and pulled her into his lifeboat. Liam died in the water, and Susan was heartbroken. She cried on the young officer's shoulder. She was unaware that the young officer was destined to get between her and Liam for all eternity. The young officer was Brian. As history stated, he was still getting between the young lovers, only this time it was Luis and Sheridan.
David tried to get Grace to get angry with Sam. Grace wouldn't take the bait and accused David of trying to undermine her relationship with Sam. David left and vowed that he could not and would not let Sam and Grace reconcile.
Sam and another officer had to pull Ethan off of Julian so he wouldn't murder him. Ethan lashed out at everyone. He told Theresa that she had never been truthful with him. He turned on Pilar and told her she had lied and kept the truth from him, and he had thought of her as a second mother.
Ethan yelled at Ivy for lying to him his whole life. He warned Julian to stay away from him because he would rather kill Julian than look at him. He left the hospital before he hurt someone. Theresa called after him, but Pilar told her to let Ethan go. She also said that Theresa had broken his heart.
Rebecca and Gwen stood back and watched the scene unfold. Rebecca told Gwen to be there for Ethan, and soon they would all live happily ever after in the Crane mansion.
After hearing Luis' story, Liz got suspicious when she heard "Diana" mumble something about the Titanic.
Theresa went to the chapel to pray. She felt sure that she had lost Ethan forever. Whitney went to comfort Theresa. Theresa told Whitney that even if she reconciled with Ethan, Ivy had made him promise to break off the engagement if she were ever caught lying to him again.
Ethan was at the docks, remembering the times he'd had with Theresa. Ethan was hurt and angry as he lashed out, with no one around to hear.
Liz revealed her suspicions to Brian about who she thought "Diana" really was. When Liz mentioned past lives, Brian thought she was crazy. Liz said that they could not discount the story, since "Diana" kept mumbling in her sleep about the Titanic. Brian refused to believe it.
Hank saw David at the Book Café. He said he was glad to see that David was leaving town. Hank also voiced his suspicions to David of how he could have found Grace if he'd really tried all those years before. Hank insisted that David's story was full of holes. David insinuated that since Hank had a shady past, Sam might not be on the up side either.
Grace was furious at finding Sam and Ivy together. Sam told Grace that Ethan had almost killed Julian. Grace could not believe her ears that Theresa had actually married Julian. Sam told Grace what bad shape Ethan was in, and he begged Grace to understand. Grace said she was trying to be understanding. Ivy thanked Grace, but Grace laid it on the line: she did not trust Ivy. Grace said that Ivy was on notice. She would not let anyone or anything get between her and Sam. She would not let Ivy use Ethan as a ploy to get Sam back.
Liz wanted "Diana" to meet the neighbor in number nine. She told Brian that if he didn't believe the story about "Diana" and Luis being on the Titanic in a past life, then he had nothing to worry about.
Theresa and Whitney returned to Theresa's house and found Ethan there waiting. "Diana" went into Luis' room and kissed him. David reported to an unknown person on the phone that he had tried everything to break up Sam and Grace, and nothing was working. David was being paid to break up Sam and Grace by the person he was reporting to -- Ivy, who was more determined than ever to break up Sam and Grace forever.
