Tabitha keeps tabs on what's happening and about to happen to the residents of Harmony. Kay's ideal life with Miguel is not all it's cracked up to be and the house of cards she has built is falling apart.
Meanwhile, Miguel is trying to be supportive of Charity's ambition to be a fashion designer. He tries to come up with a way to put her together with someone who can advance her career goals.
Luis is making serious accusations against Alistair and the terrible things he has done to Sheridan and the other people in Harmony. Meanwhile, Pilar is unconscious and lying near death on the terrace of the Seascape. Alistair puts a halt to Luis's story by telling him about Pilar being so ill.
Theresa is more determined than ever to break up Gwen and Ethan and get back her son when she sees how Ethan and Gwen bonding with little Ethan. Theresa decides she has no choice by to send Gwen off on a wild goose chase and seduce Ethan and get him on her side.
Theresa gets Ethan under her spell and continues to make passionate love to him hoping to get him away from Gwen.
Meanwhile, Gwen is about to leave town on a business trip and is baring her soul to a limo driver. After talking about her relationship with Ethan, Gwen decides to go back to the mansion. Will she catch Theresa and Ethan in bed?
Alistair gives Luis a terrible choice. He insists Luis hand over the evidence against him or he'll let Pilar die rather than put her in one of his special funded research programs that could save Pilar's life. If he does this, he won't have the evidence to take Sheridan away from Antonio. Luis must chose between the woman who gave him life and the woman he loves more than life itself.
Luis asks Eve for advice about Pilar. She is upset that she knows that unless Luis gives over the CD-ROMs to Alistair, Luis will destroy her marriage and hamper her and Julian's ability to find their son. In the end, Luis knows he has to deal with Alistair to save his mother.
Gwen makes her way back to the Crane Mansion in an effort to make things better between her and Ethan.
She knows that this conflict with Theresa has put a strain on their relationship and this is not the best time to leave town. Theresa has to think fast when Gwen comes back and nearly catches her in bed with Ethan.
After Luis hands over the CD-ROMs to Alistair, the dastardly Crane scion permits Pilar to be admitted to the special experimental program that may save her life. Pilar's condition continues to be a life and death struggle as doctors administer this new treatment to her.
Luis has to pull back on the charges he's made against the Crane family, since he now has not evidence to back it up. What's more, he may have lost all chance of winning back Sheridan. Ivy reaches out to a barely-conscious Pilar and begs her old friend to hold on.
Gwen confronts Theresa, but Fox comes to her rescue. Theresa learns devastating news about her mother's illness.
Antonio is vindicated when Luis doesn't have evidence to back up his claims of Sheridan's brainwashing. After Sheridan stops the brothers from fighting, Antonio and Luis go to the hospital to see their mother.
In a show of courage, Julian takes the CD-ROMs from his father but is rewarded with a gunshot to the arm.
Julian goes to Eve for help after being shot by his father.
Eve has bad news for everyone regarding Pilar's condition. Later, she fills Sheridan in on Luis' sacrifice. Antonio and Theresa both share emotional moments with Pilar, who is dying despite her treatments.
In Mexico, a mysterious man and woman fret over what's happening in Harmony.
