At Michael Baldwin's condo, Kevin barged in when Michael answered his door. Michael wasn't pleased when Kevin sought help, explaining that he had a grand jury breathing down his neck. Michael, frustrated, told his brother he'd become a certified sociopath. Kevin reminded his brother about his brushes with the law and said that just because he'd cleaned up his act, he shouldn't look down his nose at his little brother. Michael sighed heavily. Kevin's voice sounded desperate as he pleaded with Michael to help him. Michael told Kevin he was immune to help and told him to get out. Kevin admitted that he was being accused of having passed a disease to a 15-year-old girl. Michael, knowing that the court had ordered a blood test, advised Kevin to comply. Kevin defended himself and suggested the victim might've also slept with someone else who'd infected her with chlamydia. Michael scolded Kevin and insisted he take responsibility for his actions. Michael recalled how he'd learned by paying his dues.

This episode originally aired March 31, 2005. In the episode, Gloria tells John the truth about Michael and Kevin.
At Michael's home, Michael forced Kevin to hang up the phone. Kevin insisted on finding out how Gloria was doing after Ashley had chewed her out. Michael revealed that Ashley had also given Gloria an ultimatum to tell John the truth about them being her sons, or Ashley would do it in the morning. Kevin thought it would be better if Gloria had the chance to explain herself. Michael pointed out that Gloria had been lying to John since before they'd gotten married, and he doubted that there was any way John would forgive her. Kevin was sure that John and Gloria would work things out, and he suggested that he and Michael stop by to offer their moral support. Michael grumbled that it would make things worse, and he was already under enough stress. Kevin thought that John should get to know them to find out that they weren't bad guys. Michael cited what Kevin had done to Colleen, and he imagined that John was finding out that the two worst demons on earth were his stepsons.

Michael was stunned by Kevin's revelation that Gloria was the one who'd tampered with the samples. Gloria insisted that no one else was supposed to have used the cream except her. It was Jack and Ashley's fault for sending out the samples early. Michael was dumbfounded by Gloria's refusal to accept responsibility for her actions and reminded her that a woman was dead. Michael said he had two choices. He could tell Jack and Ashley the truth and beg them to let him continue to represent them, which he thought was very unlikely, or he could go to the police and tell them everything. Gloria couldn't believe her son would turn her in. While they were arguing, Jack called to tell Michael to be there when Ashley took her lie detector test. Michael stormed out of his apartment without telling Gloria where he was going.
