Dorian was not happy with David because he had destroyed her gun, and John wanted her to take it to the station. While David and Dorian talked about Paul, Kelly called David with news of Ace's kidnapper. David rushed to Kelly. Kelly found among some of Paul's papers a name, Krystal in P. Valley. Together, they figured out that the woman who had called Kelly was Krystal Carey from Pine Valley. David and Kelly headed out to Pine Valley to find Krystal.
Viki accused Dorian of knowing more about Paul's death, and she wouldn't let Dorian send Natalie to jail for what Dorian had done. John and Natalie had a talk about the night of Paul's disappearance. Natalie told John about the attempted rape. John reassured Natalie that he had never stopped caring about her. Cristian watched them talk and decided to leave a note under Natalie's door. Natalie found the note and recognized Cristian's handwriting. She at first did not want to acknowledge the note but soon decided to follow the directions. Natalie found Cristian.
Sonia warned Jessica that Tico was dangerous and also revealed her identity as a secret agent. Jessica wouldn't back down. Antonio told Sonia that he did not feel the same about her as she did for him. Sonia decided to move out. Antonio visited Jessica and asked her to leave Tico. Tico listened secretly.
Duke and Kevin mended fences. Adriana asked Duke what to do about what she'd witnessed between Jessica and Antonio.
Cristian and Natalie reunited. Cristian told Natalie of his kidnapping and how Flynn had sold him to a Romanian ship so he could translate Spanish to English during drug trades from South America. Natalie updated Cristian on what had happened since he'd been gone. She told him that she had made some bad decisions and gotten involved with the wrong person. Cristian asked Natalie if she had killed Paul. Cristian told Natalie that Paul's death had been ordered by a man called Tico Santi. Natalie told Cristian that Tico and Jessica were married and suggested that he talk to Antonio. Natalie called Antonio to head to the cabin.
Tico watched and listened to Antonio and Jessica. Jessica convinced Antonio to leave. Tico tried to seduce Jessica, but she told him that she had to go to the office. Tico told Kevin he needed find a way to ruin Todd and shut down the Sun. Tico let it slip that Governor Brooks would make his last speech.
Antonio offered Todd more information on Gov. Brooks if Todd admitted that Tico had ordered Cristian's death. Todd gave in. Antonio got his gun so he could go after Tico. Jessica stopped Antonio from making a big mistake. Todd warned Kevin that Tico was going down, and he should end all associations before it happened.
While Kevin and Todd talked, Margaret entered Kevin's living room from the kitchen. Todd and Kevin were shocked to see her. Margaret apologized to Kevin as a part of her recovery. Margaret told Todd that she would go and apologize to Blair. Todd recommended that Margaret avoid Blair for fear that Blair would rip her head off.
Nora interrupted a dinner with Paige and Bo. Matthew still wanted Bo and Nora together, and he blamed his birth for their breakup. Starr tried to comfort Matthew.
Evangeline tried to get John to see he might have feelings for Natalie, but he refused. Evangeline and Michael talked about relationships. Michael let Evangeline know that the McBain men might take a long time to commit, but when they did, they fell hard.
Cristian and Antonio had an emotional reunion after Natalie filled Cristian in on the recent discoveries involving the Santi family, including the fact that Antonio was Manuel's son and Tico's brother. He was angered to learn that Tico was in Llanview and vowed to go after him. Antonio figured that Tico was out to get everyone who might have any ties to the Santi family, which was why he'd wanted Cristian killed. They decided to take Tico down together after Cristian persuaded an enraged Antonio not to go it alone.
When Cristian left the room for a moment, Antonio asked if Natalie had mentioned John. She insisted that John never had been a concern, that she had just been trying to mask her pain. Antonio contended he was no longer the same person as before, though Cristian was quick to point out that they were still brothers. Cristian didn't want Antonio to tell anyone that he was alive; he thought it best they let Tico think he was dead. Antonio wanted to tell Jessica who was really on their side.
Natalie proposed that she and Cristian have the honeymoon they'd never gotten to take. Antonio departed, obviously on cloud nine with his brother returning from the dead. Natalie clarified that it was Antonio who had left Jessica. Jessica had married Tico on the rebound. Cristian was just happy that Natalie had waited for him.
At a closed Ultraviolet, Lindsay tried to get Riley to take a trip to L.A. with Jen, to get them out of town right away, but he turned it down, as he was busy with his group. She turned to Rex next, knowing that he'd do anything for Jen. He turned her down cold, though, when she suggested that he take a murder rap for her. She urged Rex to tell anyone who asked that Jen had been with him on Halloween night. He thought maybe she should take the rap for her daughter.
Blair managed to persuade Rex to let her in to talk to a rehearsing Riley and asked that he perform with Midnight Logic at Starr's birthday party. Riley turned her down, despite all of her pleading, attempting to explain that it was about "where I'm coming from" in his music, and it wouldn't be at a kid's birthday party. After Blair sang a song with feeling, impressing Riley a great deal, he gave in.
Kelly and David got lost in the fog on their way to Pine Valley and their search for Krystal and Ace. They had a lot of time to spend together, chatting about old times and new. Getting out to stretch her legs, Kelly scared David, who thought she was taking off alone. When an old song on the radio inspired memories, the pair shared a dance filled with laughter. When the fog lifted, they resumed their search, landing at Krystal's presumed residence. They decided to wait for her to appear.
John ran into Evangeline at the police station, where she gave him a cold shoulder when he asked her to go out. He pulled her into his office and kissed her, which changed her mind, as they ended up in bed back at her place. Later, Evangeline announced that the problem was still there, but John continued to insist that there was nothing between him and Natalie; they were just friends.
Evangeline felt hurt that Natalie had been left out of her client's confidence as well as John's. He agreed that it was personal, since he had caused Cristian's death, and he wondered why Evangeline had even taken the case. He accused her of always trying to be perfect; she accused him of always trying to save the world because of his fiancée. He convincingly told her that he was with her and she was worth it, even if he got torn apart again. When the phone call came in that the gun used to kill Paul had been located, John had to leave. Evangeline left him a message about how happy the evening had made her.
Dorian tried to locate Kelly, to no avail, but lied to Kevin when he tried to pry Kelly's whereabouts from her instead. He saw right through her and figured that Kelly was up to something. They accused each other of killing Paul then Dorian let loose on Kevin. She gave him hell for his treatment of both Cassie and Kelly and for his use of Ace to look good in the public eye and to get back at his wife.
Kevin denied it all, very adamantly stating that he loved his son. Turning the tables, he suggested that Kelly was probably off with David, and that might be something to worry about, since Kelly had always had a crush on him. Dorian refuted that, noting that they were just close friends and that David was like an uncle to Kelly. When the doorbell rang, it surprisingly turned out to be John. He placed Dorian under arrest for Paul Cramer's murder.
Jessica was thrilled when Natalie and Antonio called her to the diner and she saw for herself that Cristian was alive. After she agreed to help them expose Tico, she got her hubby out of Lion's Heart so Antonio and Cristian could break in and search the place. Tico returned home sooner than expected, however, and met face to face with Cristian.
In Pine Valley, Krystal withstood Kelly and David's interrogation and claimed she knew nothing about Ace. They later got a clue that Ace might have turned up in South Carolina. Blair posted bail for Dorian, who thought that Viki was the person who had planted the murder weapon in her office.
After a tedious battle, Todd finally got his identity back from Asa. Meanwhile, at the diner, Blair freaked out when she saw Margaret, who attempted to assure Blair that she was not out to start trouble. Todd decided to use Margaret by steering her toward Kevin.
Lindsay showed R.J. the newspaper about Dorian being arrested for Paul's murder. Lindsay worried that the gun found in Dorian's office might still have fingerprints on it. R.J. asked her if she was worried that Jen's fingerprints were on the gun. Lindsay stated that Jen would never survive prison. R.J. promised her that Jen would never go to jail.
Later, R.J. taunted John about his lists of suspects, prompting John to wonder why he cared. After John received a phone call, he called Bo, saying that they had a witness that had seen the woman Cramer had met with the night he'd died.
Adriana was ecstatic that Dorian was home from jail and gave her a hug. Dorian made Adriana promise she wouldn't believe anything she read in the paper or saw on TV. Duke entered the room, and Dorian was not happy to see him there. Dorian believed Duke was there to tell Adriana negative things about her. Adriana explained that Duke had stopped by to check on Adriana and make sure she was okay. Adriana told Dorian that she and Duke both knew Dorian was not a killer, and they would get through it together.
David called, leaving a message on the answering machine; when David asked about the Paul situation, Dorian quickly turned off the machine and headed upstairs, saying she would talk to David later. Duke thought it was strange that Dorian hadn't wanted them to hear what David had started to say. Duke wondered if Dorian was hiding something. Adrian became upset, telling Duke that he believed Dorian's guilt. Duke told Adriana that nobody could be 100% sure she was not guilty.
Duke apologized for upsetting Adriana. When she told him to leave, he refused until they talked things out. Lindsay showed up to talk to Dorian. Lindsay offered to give Dorian an alibi. Dorian accused Lindsay of covering her own tracks and said that she had motive for Paul uploading that website. Dorian also pointed out that Lindsay had killed before. Lindsay became angry, saying she'd thought that she and Dorian were friends. Lindsay yelled, asking what Dorian was thinking, and she stormed out.
Kelly was looking for Liberia, North Carolina, on a map. She told David they needed to get to Darlene's Truck Stop, since the person who had Ace had called from there. David thought by the time they got there, whoever it was would be gone. Kelly did not care because it was their only lead.
David and Kelly walked into a Pine Valley restaurant as Bianca Montgomery was on the phone, talking to Babe. Later, Kelly overheard Krystal and Bianca talking about Babe's whereabouts. Krystal asked Bianca if she had heard from Babe. Bianca told her she had not heard anything but would tell her as soon as she heard anything. Bianca told Krystal not to worry and that everything would be just fine.
After Krystal left, Kelly approached Bianca, saying she was an old friend of Babe's. Kelly learned from Bianca that Babe was a Chandler and had an eight-month-old baby girl. Bianca refused to give Babe's phone number to Kelly. After Bianca left, Kelly told David that Bianca was the answer to all of their prayers.
After seeing an article about the helicopter crash and seeing a picture of Babe and Bianca, Kelly concluded that Paul had switched the babies. Paul had given Babe's baby, Ace, to her; and he had given Bianca's baby to Babe and said that Bianca's baby was dead. Kelly told David that Babe was the woman that was obsessed with Ace.
David asked Kelly what she would do if it turned out Babe was Ace's real mother. Kelly said if she was a good mother, she could live with what happened. David and Kelly stopped at a motel to rest. David explained that there was only one room left. Kelly was not concerned, for there was no problem with them sharing a room.
Jessica and Natalie were worried because Tico was on his way back to Lion's Heart, and they had not been able to get ahold of Antonio or Cristian. As they were talking, John showed up, as a friend, to see if Natalie was okay. He assured her he was not there about Paul's murder.
John told Natalie he was making sure she was okay after their talk about Paul the previous night. Natalie told him it had helped talking to him and had made her feel a lot better. John, observing how tense and uncomfortable Natalie was, asked her what was going on. John thought they had gotten to a point where they trusted each other.
Natalie told John she was starting her life over and forgetting about her previous mistakes. John told Natalie he did not think they had been a mistake. Natalie told John she did not want Cristian to be a part of her past; he would always be a part of her heart. She told him she knew what she was doing. After John left, Jessica asked how her conversation with John had gone. Before Natalie could answer, Antonio called saying there was a problem with Cristian.
Natalie worried about Cristian. Jessica reassured her that Antonio would take care of Cristian. Jessica asked Natalie about her conversation with John. Natalie said John was really sweet and caring. She felt like, for the first time, he had been truly opening himself up and able to give her what she needed.
Natalie explained that she would never love anyone the way she loved Cristian. Natalie was confused. Jessica told her it would take time for Natalie to adjust to Cristian being back. Natalie asked Jessica if she was adjusting to Antonio. Jessica wished she and Antonio could pick up where they'd left off; however, there were too many scars from what had happened with Sonia and Tico. Natalie asked her what they were supposed to do. Jessica said they should ask their mom. Natalie hugged Jessica and said they both knew where they belonged.
Antonio entered and told Natalie that Cristian was in the attic. Jessica said she was worried about them. Antonio told her that Cristian was not through with Tico. Jessica told Antonio she needed to get back to Lion's Heart before Tico became suspicious. She assured Antonio it would be okay as long as Tico did not know who Cristian was. She told Antonio that she and Cristian would protect each other. Antonio hugged her before she left.
Natalie was upset that Cristian had to stay at Tico's. Cristian said that Jessica would be there and would pulverize anyone who tried to hurt him. Natalie told him she wouldn't live without him again.
Cristian told Natalie that they would synchronize their dreams that night. They remembered when Cristian had proposed and decided they would both dream about that moment.
When Tico saw Cristian, Tico replied that he was wondering when he would show up. Tico referred to Cristian as Jose Alvarez and said his assistant had said he would be there to do an assignment for him. Cristian played along. Tico asked him how he'd gotten in. Cristian said he'd seen the door ajar and had gone in to check on things. At that moment, Antonio showed up. Cristian grabbed him and pushed Antonio up against the wall.
Cristian patted Antonio down and informed Tico that Antonio was clean. Tico told Antonio that he should call the cops and have Antonio arrested. Antonio told him to go ahead; however, Tico did not like having cops around. Tico said he would not call the cops for Carlotta and Adriana's sake. Cristian escorted Antonio out of Lion's Heart. When Cristian told Antonio he was going back in to finish what had been started, Antonio ordered Cristian not to go in. Cristian ignored Antonio and returned to Lion's Heart. Cristian asked Tico about the assignment. Tico was very evasive about the details.
Tico assured Cristian that all major obstacles had been taken care of and that Cristian would get the needed information later. Tico insisted that Cristian stay at Lion's Heart with him and Jessica. When Tico asked Cristian if he was married, Cristian said no; he wore the wedding ring as a cover.
Tico was looking at a picture of Natalie and Cristian's wedding in the newspaper. Tico explained that Antonio would have to kill the governor, or someone he loved would die. Then both Antonio and Cristian would die. As Tico said that, Jessica, Antonio, Natalie, and Cristian embraced.
